- Zakiah has lost her fingers and toes to an extremely rare disease that blocks blood flow to her arms and legs. Even though she is living with excruciating pain, she hasn’t lost her determination to be a good mother to her 6-year-old son - even if it means sacrificing what’s left of her limbs.

Zakiah's mum is so strong and caring. Really worried what would happen when she eventually is unable to provide care /support to her daughter. Ahmad is such a well mannered and bright boy. Hope CNA can provide is with details to how we could support these families on the show.

I can’t imagine the courage it must take to face each day with such a painful, debilitating condition. It really shows the extraordinary love and devotion of mothers. It is a job that never ends no matter how old your children are. These shows remind us that family are the most important thing in life and when things get tough they are the ones who who will usually be there for us. We need to remember to be grateful for what we do have in life rather than focus on the hardships. Ahmad is a sweet lovely little boy and his mother is battling her disease to be there for him with the help of her strong mother.
Allah Allah, May Allah ease her pain. May Allah keep her mom strong and longevity. Amin

I love how Ahmad openly admitted that he cried. It just showed how wonderful the family is.
As Asian (?) it is very common for us, especially boy, to hide our sadness, our tears because that's what our family and society dictate. But that's not the case for this family I believe.

3 years on, I wonder how she is doing as well as her selfless beautiful mom and intelligent Ahmad. Hopefully CNA will respond to the hordes of enquiries here since 3 years ago. Indeed watching her pain and her mom's sacrifice is humbling while crying my eyes out.

Please explain the rationale behind Zakiah decision to keep her extremities which she already cannot use but caused her so much pain and traumatise her young son to watch.
