    The T-62 is an interesting tank, it's often not as talked about as it's other Russian counterparts, such as the T-54/55 or the T-72.

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. The T-62 might just be my favorite Russian tank design because of how smoothly shaped the turret is.

  • @hansgoddijn1732
    @hansgoddijn1732 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice to sea you working. I am a beginner and I want to handbrush my tanks. Is it neccessary to use a varnish on tanks like the ultra Matt AK or varnish from MIG ? What is your experience ? On your model I did not sea you use a varnish. Thank you.

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A varnish isn’t always required unless you want your model to have a matte, satin, or glossy finish. Other times they are used for hiding the film around the edges of decals. :)

  • @Larry-Lobster

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s amazing to hear that you enjoy brush painting more than airbrushing. I just have to get myself an airbrush and see what all the fuss is about lol. But hopefully one day, I’ll acquire one for my future hobby journey. :)

      @@Modkits131 Yea I see people do so many cool techniques with them but I'm very busy with work and school so I rarely have sessions longer than a few hours a week and the maintenance in setting up an airbrush and cleaning it afterwards is very time consuming and somewhat stressful while brush painting is rather straightforward and simple to me haha

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d also have to get better ventilation and even a gas mask in order to breathe all the pain particles floating about lol. But I completely understand why you prefer brush painting over the airbrush. :)

    @chevy-is-a-good-boy ปีที่แล้ว

    What fantastic technique! I'm curious as to the dimensions of this kit. What is the upper hulls length and width? The model seems a bit wider than the quoted measurement on the box? Thank you!

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t provide you the correct measurements sadly. I’m sorry I couldn’t help with that info. Thank you though, the weathering is not my best but it’s something to remember by.

    I don't know if it's the light, but a lot of modelers make the mud very bright and especially yellow! It is brown soil in Europe and black soil in Ukraine. This is for countries with worse soil like Israel, south Spain , south Italy.I'm a modeler myself and I have pigment "heavy European earth" it's dark brown with a slight yellowish tinge😉
    I recomended video "BAHNA 2022". Even after drying the mud does not have a yellow color. You have the same nonsence on all tanks on the T-55 GDR

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What you have is called frosting. It could very well be a bad varnish and not your fault or the varnish wasn’t mixed properly when it came out of the factory.
