A final push enabled MBS and Gardens by the Bay to be built. The whole of Marine Parade town and Changi Airport are on reclaimed land. Singapore is now about 25% larger than when it was when the British arrived.

Putting fireworks in Singapore requires a permit from the government. Therefore, you see firework like this during big event in Singapore like National Day, New Year Day. And only authorised company or person can put firework.

Raffles Hotel, The Singapore Sling was created there in the Long Bar. I had the pleasure to stay there for one week back in 1984. The cleanest city in the world. Enjoy.

Thailand has soul. I did not feel it in Singapore, it felt cold and clinical. All about what you have and showing it off. So many rules where you can get a ticket for just about anything. Thailand is the land of smiles were as Singapore is the land of fines. The life is to strict for me. The signs of poverty they hide it away. People who are working living on the beach 15klm outside the city. I'm to free and easy, rough and ready to fit in. Everything is to perfect. I don't think I even want to visit. The people in general don't look happy they look oppressed. I know I come across negative and I'm sure others would love it and would love the things i don't. we all have choices. You could see all of Singapore from that tower but around 25% of the land you see was previously Ocean, there was a harbor in front of Raffles Hotel in my time 😀.

It is a beautiful country I will admit. I have always wanted to visit Singapore I see no Street vendors no happiness. Where is the life? All the street vendors were moved in the 80s into hawker centres with power/water to make the food healthier
