I prefer arcade stick but gamepad and keyboards are fine too. The best is whatever controller you’re already comfortable with to be honest. Check out 8bitdo m30 if you like gamepads.
@@SILKYSMOOTHSHAVES my favorite right now is the hori real arcade pro v for the switch. anything by hori is pretty decent just check out ebay first you’ll find a lot of used ones. if the controls are broken or you don’t like them you can buy all kinds of replacement levers and buttons online.

It should release here soon. I think with their Deathsmiles release last year it took a few months to show up on US eshop.

What controller is best for Shmup playing?
