The trucks are not brass. The brass coppery color is a thin layer from the plating.
The base plates aren't threaded as they have never been. Same old base plates on these as the spaced and 29m m trucks we've had. It helps to put the screw in first. Take it out and reattach them to the truck. Yeah a slight pain in the arse but not $40+. And they weren't meant to be.
Softer Baked Bushings will be available when we get back from our first real vakay in 9 years.

If you put the hangars on Tech Deck baseplates it is easy to setup
That's what I did too, put the hangers on Techdeck longboard baseplates ( the ones with longer kingpins ) and now they feel like BRTs, they are a bit heavier than BRTs ( about 0.2 grams heavier ) but overall they feel premium compared to regular Tech deck trucks.

I did the same then added pivot cups and all my problems were solved. Overall they are actually really good with some modification. I can see what Chuby is saying but honestly I think these new trucks could be the blackriver killers with more development just because of the price to performance.
And with pivot cups installed I havent noticed any rattle tbh

i had to run a screw through all the holes on mine before setting them up too. it was a big pain in the ass for sure! Im never gonna spend $70 on FB trucks so these will do just fine for me! lol

I appreciate this. I've pretty much just collected Tech Decks for their graphics. I really like picking up miniatures of stuff I've actually skated. However, I've gotten a lot better at fingerboarding, and I wanted to buy a good, legit setup to actually use. These may not be Black River, but they'll suffice for my needs. I was a little worried when I saw the low price compared to the premium brands. Time to set up a real fingerboard.
I have these exact trucks and have had no issues setting them up.
Those types of trucks are the only trucks I’ve ever had I didn’t know how much better other trucks were😅 thanks for the review

I want to try a pair to see how they feel but shipping from U.S to Canada is probably more expensive than the trucks itself.
On prep trucks, I take the screws and screw them into the baseplates on the bottom of them to get them pre-threaded; it helps them to go in much easier. :)
alright ive received my pair and have ridden them quite a bit. For the sound, just throw some pivot cups on them, completely went away for me, theres no sound. Other than that, all im looking for in a 32mm fingerboard truck is for them to fit well with a 32/33mm deck, so i dont really mind the bronze, or the lightness. They turn fine. Also, get one of those tech deck series 7 tools that look like actual skate tools. I had no problem screwing in the baseplates with that tool, gives much more leverage than the black river tool.

I had trouble getting my trucks on for the first time on my broken knuckle fingerboard as well. I was looking on their website the other day and clicked on help for putting together the fingerboard bc I knew there had to be some other way. Turns out you're supposed to screw the screws in the truck's without the board first, and then screw them in with the board. Apparently it helps, haven't tried it out yet.

I’ve been using prep/broken knuckle for boards trucks and wheels and I’ve never had problems with the trucks

I have the same trucks BUT to prevent the blistering pain I put on long screws instead of the short screws that comes with the trucks. hope this helps!

You need to get the Yellowood magnetic tool for setting up trucks, it is amazing!
For $20 Noah wood makes pretty good wheels and trucks. The wheels are super hard, but also super smooth. Can't even leave it on my table or it rolls off, and they send extra bushings for when yours wear out. I'd love to get a nicer pair but for now I'm super happy with them, I have the prince 2 and king trucks

I just got my first new complete in like 5 years and got some trucks that were super cheap but look just like brt. Anyways I skate irl and I thought yeah this will be so easy to put together. Boy was I wrong. I got so angry and frustrated that I deadass just shlammed some jb weld on them to keep them on. It actually was a very solid solution but it would be nice if I didn’t have to deal with that extreme anger before. I also looked it up a bunch to see if I was doing it wrong but I suppose I’m glad to see I’m not the only one

I mean as long as they stay on the board they're trucks and i absolutely need a set because my current ones are all super glued up and one of the axle that has already been glued back in is coming out again😂. Also ive heard i think skull sells similar ones but better quality but im assuming they're the same ones.

i had problems with them not going all the way down on the board but after a little bit of fingerboarding with them they got easier to screw in little by little.

i deserve these because my old broken knuckle trucks broke. the place where you put the wheels broke off coz i was a lil tough w it. and they look sicc
Look up the chrome plating process. You dip in a bronze/copper color. And then you go to the mirror finish. Just so you know for the future.
And stainless is actually a very soft steel. So it would wear and strip screw holes out way easier.
So the chrome platings seen can strengthen “pot metals” for most cost effective materials. Hide imperfections, and give a “high quality” look at first glance. Which is when you spend your money. On first glance.

I've been using brokenknuckle for years now. The set up is always a major ordeal. The trucks never seem to stay sitting flat on the deck and that shaking you hear is the space between. I'm still a fan of brokenknuckle for giving people a chance to try a decent set up compared to tech deck for a cheaper price. I am looking forward to my first flatface complete though which I just ordered. After years and years of using brokenknuckle I can't wait to personally compare.
Would you suggest grabbing some oak wheels as well? Anyways, keep up the cool unboxing vids and great FB content.

I genuinely like the P rep trucks I have Dynamic trucks and I also have the pure app ones but I don't like the floating axle because the wheels always fall off when I start using it because either I have to tighten it down to where the wheels don't Spin and if I loosen them slightly to where they can free Spin the wheels fall off when you do a few tricks so they're just sitting in my box not being used and I hate it

Those trucks suck, 2 weeks after I got them. The “single axle” started slipping and now it moves around and it’s annoying changing wheels out and tightening nuts
Get some super glue and slide it back into the holder.

My axles slipped on both pairs that I bought after like a month. Ill prob just stick with 32mm tech deck trucks if I need a set of cheap trucks now.
skull fingerboards sells them to ,also 34 mm and they screw in verry easy

Is it normal for p-rep decks truck holes to not be 100% straight. Just got one the other week and the one truck is definitely crooked. also took a month to get my package I paid 20 dollars shipping for, when I live a 4 hour drive from them.

So the rattle and the installation gives it a 5/10, so mine don’t rattle and I just put the base plate from my 32mm longboard trucks and that fixed everything, also I put new tuning. I’ll give them a 8.5 out of 10.

I did not have a problem screwing on my trucks to my deck it was just like any other truck that you would put on your setup I also don’t get the rattle when I shake it on my ear and when I power slide it feels like brt

Hey mate, I love your videos so may I suggest you purchase your fingerboard accessories from China.
I bought trucks from China for about $4 (pink) and $10 (gold) respectively. I would say the $10 ones are awesome! Hence I bought more and I asked to mix and match the colours ; green for the top and blue for the base.
I highly recommend China made finger boards and accessories but you have to buy the high end ones I.e. suppliers to western brands for a fraction of the prices we pay in the west.
To stop the wheels from making that rattle noise you could try using wheel spacers. I know they don’t look that nice but it’s all personal preference.

@chubbymuffin another way to tell if they’re made of metal is take the bottom part of your juul you put on the charger and stick it on the hanger and attempt to pick it up with your Vapenomi if it sticks when you loft if with ur juul they’re metal if it doesn’t stick to the juul it’s not. Also try with your dynamics and brts
