- Nissan Motorsports USA hooked us up once again with their Street Exhaust System for the 2023+ Nissan Z! We're loving the sound of it, and it allows the engine to breath so much better!
Check them out on our website here:

This should be the stock sound of the performance package
Agreed
It’s regulations…
@@juraj_b you mean, California.
Sooooo I've had my 24 Z NISMO for a few days now and love it more than I thought possible. Having said that, it not coming with the damn NISMO exhaust is a letdown for sure lol. Also, SUBSCRIBED!! Thanks for the detailed breakdown of the install and testing.
If you're getting straight pipes is it better to get a true 3 in exhaust vs most 2.5in jdm exhausts?
Weight difference ?
So no resonator just a muffler ?
Damn 15hp for just a catback is crazy for 2.25 inch
its a V6 ... thats why
Do that to a 4 cyl and get like 5 hp
Is this just the catback? Any other mods or downpipes?
This is JUST catback, no other mods
The stock exhaust is tiny. Especially mid section. It’s around 1.5 to 1.75 inch
On my own Z with full DP I noticed even higher gains in top ends around 40HP
What were the before and after numbers?
Stock was 333 hp, 352 ft-lbs. With the exhaust, the average was 348 hp, 383 ft-lbs. For each test, we perform multiple runs and then average the results to get the truest-to-life snapshot of what actually happens. Otherwise, we've found with the VR30 (including back on the Q50/Q60), your first run will give a crazy high number and then your numbers just plummet as everything heatsoaks and the VR30 ECU aggressively restricts output.
@@Conceptzperformanceczp I'm curious to know if you've had any cars on the dyno with larger heat exchanger or intercoolers, and what effect they have on output over multiple runs?
How long did the job take?
What's the stock pipe diameter and the diameter of the new Nismo exhaust
The stock exhaust is 1.75" OD and the Nismo street exhaust is 2.25" OD
@@bar1ow111 that's too small, should be at Jay 2.5"
Stay tuned, we have more exhausts from both HKS and Tomei that we're gonna do videos for soon that are larger diameter@@dbsimms63
@@bar1ow111Thats WAY too small for a turbo.
It’s an active exhaust?
Nope, just a regular exhaust! It does a pretty good job quieting down when you're out of the throttle, and opens up when you ask it to. If you're referring to the wastegate thing, that is factory behavior for the VR30!
Sorry this a newbie question, how does the VR30 open and close the wastegate, does it do it on its own?@@Conceptzperformanceczp
@@ranulranepura7210the watergates are what control the boost the turbos produce. If you close them your turbo spools to the max psi, if it’s open the turbos spool slowly and never to its max psi.
@@2seep thanks for explaining! So does this happen on its own or do you open/close it yourself?
Now take off those 2 cats and see how much more you get
