Pets, however can be an issue at most places because they prefer limits, like 1 cat vs 2. A married gay couple, one American and one Japanese, just moved back to Japan 2-3 months ago. They live in Tokyo. They met there and dated when the American was working there as an interpreter. They moved here, the US, while he continued working for the same company. And back to Japan still working for the same company. Moving each time was by choice, not work related. After years here, they both decided they wanted to go back to Japan. They are married, but that, of course, is not recognized in Japan. But, if you haven’t heard recent news, that could change someday in the near future. Japan courts has recently ruled that a ban on the marriage of same sex couples is unconstitutional. Now we have to wait for whatever next steps Laws will be made taking this further. Find large size apartments in Japan, well, good luck. Japanese seemingly lives in apartments that I can only classify as dorm room size. Larger apartments are available, however, I hear they are on one side of town and are expensive. Mostly made for upper class Japanese, not the average person. However, Bren and Seiko did find a place not as small. If living in close quarters could be an issue, that’s something to consider. Personally, I watch lots of gay TH-camr couples, and I can’t see how it feels so normal, but if it’s all you know, I guess so. Not being used to that, however, you might find it a bit of a challenge. Maybe. The couple I mentioned that just returned to Japan has a TH-cam channel as well. Bren and Seiko. Look them up and watch their videos. Subscribe even. They added some details about their recent move back to Japan in several videos you should watch. Including some of the costs incurred.
