Kendo was the first character I used a Character Card on, directly after getting my first win with her. Tried getting better at her, with some inconsistent results in Unranked and very little success in Rankeds. Always felt like I let my team down, but finding guides for Kendo is difficult, so improving as Kendo (and well, as a player) was not easy. Until now. Definitely gonna take some time to get a lotta those tricks down and keeping a calm mind during neutral / when in range, but this cleared up my mind and gave me the input I needed to become better. Thank you a ton for putting this together!

Jusr had to come back to this, used 1/4 of the tips and won my first champ as her w/ reall good team support, thanks! Bigest tips was the dash, shield & throw & while circling is really hard for players to hit as well as confidence closing the distance - clap range accuracy and wall scalling/climbing helped too!
One thing I'd like to add that fits in really well with the rest of this video is that you can sprint > jump > basic melee to extend the distance you travel with it. Make sure you do the melee before she actually leaves the ground though. It's sort of like a kara cancel from street fighter. Other characters can do this but it's best on kendo because she can really catch people off guard with it thanks to her large baseline dash on her melee.
I knew about the kara cancel bc I do it whenever I f up during Hill boosts lmfao, but yo, that's mad dope if it actually extends the melee distance. Never used it for engaging. Preciate you sharing the knowledge G!!

Quick question! Since deku and tenya beta can hit kendo through shield but they get stunned, would doing the shield and rolling towards them stop that?
One thing I think they should change is that for her special not only you can throw people she should be able to pick up fallen teammates and she also should be able to spring too
You need to make sure you're holding a direction as you're pressing alpha. So just make sure you're holding a movement option, left right up or down, and be pressing Alpha a bunch so it comes out as soon as possible.
I use Toggle & I think that Toggle is better, however you have to know & learn when you have to hold down your sprint again as explained in the video 🙂
1 2 > 1 2 > Move away + Alpha or Just stick to the standard 1 2 3 4 bc the next time you catch them, their shield will break mid combo so you can finish the combo with alpha
I have a Logitech G G600 MMO mouse, so I have various binds onto that. Those binds being my beta, melee, emotes, voice lines, card level up, etc. On my keyboard, I have Q as ping, E as Gamma (Y), F as pick up, and Ctrl as crouch. This is all from what I remember from the top of my head~

It’s on my ring finger, mapped to “M”. The Logitech G G600 has 3 mouse clicks instead of the traditional 2. Additionally overall, it has 18 clicks to it 😂 so that’s 18 buttons you can map things to lol

yeahhh, you have to use clap while they are doing an action, after a block, after a combo, or punishing a roll

How do you combo melee into alpha? I keep trying to pull it off but alpha never comes out?
