I've never really had friends. It's always been hard for me to connect with people. When I started high-school, I met a group of kids who loved undertale and got me into it. It was the first time I ever clicked with anyone. I've moved away since then, and I still struggle to make friends, but whenever I hear undertale music, It reminds me it's possible to find people like you. No one is ever really alone. Not forever, at least ❤️

I put this on loop sometimes when I'm feeling a bit lonely at home. Undertale was a christmas gift from my dad back in I wanna say 2017 (i was in middle school at the time i remember that much). When my dad passed away in August of 2022 I found a lot of comfort in the Undertale soundtrack, Omori soundtrack (mainly By Your Side, Duet, some of the happier songs), Oneshot soundtrack, and Animal Crossing (gamecube version) soundtrack. My dad was the main reason I played all of these games. This song in particular was a song that my dad liked a lot. So of course this track right here was something that meant the most to me. I'm going to be playing this in the background of our first christmas without him. It'll just be that little bit of him that keeps us stable throughout the day. Update from about 7 months after my dad passed (Febuary 2023): Things are pretty good. I'm currently taking a break from college since it's a lot to handle right now. I've been looking for a job which isn't going well but I'm gonna get there eventually. My brother is doing pretty good in high school. My mom is back to school learning to be a marriage and family counselor. Our Christmas was pretty good. We went up to see family and my mom actually got remarried pretty quickly. There was a little bit of tension there between me and her but I soon came to realize that it was all perfectly fine in both my book and my dad's. Of course I'm a part of a religious family so I was a bit hesitant to accept it at first but realized it was perfectly fine under our rules. He's a pretty cool guy and he got my mom into watching Stranger Things which is kinda cool if you ask me. We've been making it through each day with only a couple bumps in the road but things are still... good. Almost better. I like to believe dad is looking down from above and helping us move along more smoother.

I feel like the undertale fandom is finally coming back to what it used to be. Things got scary for a bit and people were really cruel towards it. But it’s good to see that love for something wholesome like this is still out there.
Pretty sure it's because the more... "intense" Undertale fans ended up migrating to Deltarune now that it's picked up, and the people left are the chill parts of the fandom who just enjoy the game for what it is.

The internets checkpoint. I’m currently 13, and ever since I’ve taken care of my body both mentally and physically, my life got better. A few years ago, I started to play undertale. I didn’t understand it, and gave up quickly. After some time, I played it with my family, and got the hang of it. Around a month ago, I finally beat both genocide and pacifist. Happy tears from pacifist, and sad tears from genocide. It was nice to be a part of the family. Toriel just wanted to keep all humans safe, Asgore just wanted to keep all monsters safe, and Asriel just wanted to keep himself safe. But frisk, never gave up. The player could control frisk and choose the output of the game. Most people have decided to keep everyone safe, and that resulted in the best ending ever. Thank you Toriel for taking care of me. Thank you Napstablook for making me understand music. Thank you Sans for making me laugh. Thank you papyrus for making me want to continue. Thank you Undyne for showing me how to defend myself. Thank you dummy for letting me understand boundaries. Thank you alphys for making me understand love. Thank you mettaton for quizzing me. Thank you asgore for showing me how to stay determined. Thank you Asriel for helping me understand the world. Thank you Toby and Temmie, for making one of the best games known to society, and thank you for keeping us all determined. I love this Undertale soundtrack so badly. I always listen to it when I feel lonely, or after an argument. It makes me feel so cozy and warm, yet there is some bittersweetness coming along. I honestly really miss those 5(almost 6) years I've spend playing Undertale, watching videos about this game and just being obsessed with it. Toriel is one of my favorite characters, because she is the mother figure I wish I had. She made me feel at home. I could feel her love through the screen. I was able to feel the warmth in her cozy home. I even wonder how life for Frisk would have been if they stayed with Toriel in the Ruins? Probably very wonderful. But actually, maybe living with her on the surface with all of your friends sounds like a better life, ha ha. Life couldn't have been better without this game. Thank you Toby Fox. For everything. Can't wait for Deltarune Chapter 2 to come out!
Gave Undertale a shot a week ago, and it changed me. I'm 32 and it's been some years since the world, even life itself, was not shining to me anymore. I don't know what this game did to me, but things seem different. Here I am after a live stream, crying and listening this for 23 minutes already while petting my cats. Recently I moved to my birth city, and last night I cried in the shower because I felt happy to be alive, happy to be here and have all my family close. Life took something from me, and Undertale gave it back.
Recently, I've been feeling tired, wanting to cry and do nothing else all day, but this video managed to warm my heart a little. Thanks, undertale and it's community, for all the good things you've both brought to my life.

I’m gonna miss the good old days when Undertale was at its peak. I feel like it’s truly changed the online community as a whole and put the feels into people more than any other game had at that point (and arguably up to today). The soundtrack also fits the game perfectly, with each track making the moment evoke more feeling than any soundtrack I’ve ever heard. From story and dialogue to feels and music, Undertale was and is, in my opinion, the greatest game I have ever played and I’m grateful that we have people like Toby Fox in the community. And if Toby Fox happens to see this, thank you for creating Undertale. It has truly changed the community for the better.
2016 was rough. Years have not been kind since. Undertale was the saving grace of 2016, helping me through such a rough time. This song is called Home, and boy does it feel like it. It’s home, you’re Home. Despite everything that’s happened. It’s still you. Is such a powerful line from the game. This game still plays so heavily into my life and I love every minute of this game. Deltarune isn’t what I hoped it would be, but I like it too and have hopes for CH3. In 2019, homestuck ended and the last song that played sounded so Close To this. The iconic green house of homestuck. It’s. Crazy to think about. Toby Fox helped shape my my teenage years, through homestuck, then undertale. From 11 years old to now being 21 I’m a full adult now, I can drink and I have a job, and here I am missing the days of sitting in my bunk bed watching jacksepticeye play this game, coming up with funny voices, learning to draw because of it. Despite everything it’s still you. Thank you Toby, Temmie, everyone who worked on the game. Thank you OP for posting this video and letting me truly feel At Home. ❤
Once the next deltarune chapters come out hopefully there will be a new burst of content, this fandom isnt as bad as some people make it out to be and i love it, surely this videos proves that.

I never thought a video game would save my life. Back when the pandemic started, my mental health was the equivalent of a dumpster fire and only getting worse. If it wasn't for my cousin recommending this game to me, I don't know if I would be able to say that I would still be here today. I won't get into much detail, but Undertale was something I grew attached to and I wanted to complete the game. That interest, that reason to stay alive another day so I could complete it, it kept me going long enough to rethink my decision. After I finished my first True Pacifist, my first run of the game, I realized how acts of kindness can change everything. Undertale showed me that my decisions can affect others around me. Thanks to that one fateful conversation, this one game, one screw it choice, I'm still alive today. So, to whoever stumbles across my comment, remember you're loved. One action from you can affect the lives of those around you. Thank you Undertale for keeping me around long enough to see how I could affect others. I get so infuriated when people think of Chara as a demon, the point of the game is that you, the player, are responsible for your actions. She clearly had issues given what we know about her, but again, she was just a child.
I really think people should stop seeing Chara as a demon, just becsuse of the 1 scene, Personally I see them as just a normal child who just feels alone, they fell into the underground with a reason, unfortunately suicide, they were abused by humans and that's why they hated humanity.

Undertale strikes the heart like no other. I am pleased I grew up in the generation that was given this masterpiece. The songs behind Undertale is so perfect in their own ways, even if its a whoosh sound for a hotland vent or an entire theme, all of the songs and sounds are perfect the way they are. and there is nothing that I would changed with Undertale. The story, the characters, everything creates a perfect feeling, and the soundtrack helps crackle down on the feeling, as if you were there to experience what Frisk experienced. although Toby has said that he will never make a game as good as Undertale, he proved himself wrong. Deltarune chapter 1 and 2 are perfect, pretty much the same feel as Undertale. I cannot wait for what Toby Fox pulls next, because whatever he makes I will enjoy, even if I have to wait for years, I will. Thanks for reading.
I’m not certain but I believe as of September, Toby said he is done with chapter 3, so now he is working on chapters 4 and 5 (if you didn’t know, he is releasing all 3 at the same time) and he said he took on a team to help him, so hopefully we’ll be getting them within the next few years. Personally, I’m SUPER HYPED for chapters 6 and 7, since those are probably going to be epic and having me on the edge of my seat (I’m thinking final face offs between the Lancer Fan Club and the Titans, Kris revealing the other soul inside them, Gaster stuff, and hopefully an ending where we live Kris to live out their life in peace.) Undertale is my happy place, it makes me have a soft yet warm feeling inside. I listen to this when i want to chill, calm down or just be in my happy place. I honestly can't wait for December to listen to this. It'll feel more different than last year's Christmas knowing I can finally see more of my family. As well as finally enjoying it with other classmates in person, too, if things do not head south. It baffles me how this year and last year swept by so fast, and then knowing I'll finally be older. Undertale has always been my favorite game back in 2015, and coming back to the music in these times is remarkable. It's a great nostalgia trip, and an even greater one when in the future other's can listen to the music freely, getting together and enjoying the fun. I really can't wait for this year and what the future has to bring. Just the thoughts of warmer times and happier ones as well bring me deep joy. edit 12/1/21: hey everyone, I never knew this blew up in the course of 3 months. it's finally December but the first day of it is not going as well. My older sister sang a version of this with lyrics to me a really long time ago, the night before she left home for about a year or more. Now every time I sing it I cry, because it's such a perfect memory of her love for me. I really hope everyone can experience love like that. Never did i think a little game like this would change my life so much, it’s been just such surreal journey from the ruins all the way to spamton, this is probably the only game even to this day that still just gives me almost a mindless sense of childlike joy. This game has taught me so many life lessons, there’s times where I genuinely think I can’t keep going and I whisper to myself “stay determined” as cheesy as that sounds. I’ve been rambling on long enough about how i love this game so I’ll end it here before it gets much longer 😅

when you think about it, every season is beautiful. fall, the cozy hoodie-wearing temperatures, the leaves all changing beautiful reds, oranges, yellows and falling from the trees above. raking up those leaves and jumping in them when you're young. the special time of getting to spend thanksgiving around the table with your loved ones. winter, the cold, soft snow falling from the sky and allowing you to have fun making snowmen, snow angels, and having snowball fights. the feeling of coming inside the house after the cold outside and sitting by the fireplace to warm up, sitting with a blanket over yourself and drifting asleep. the wonderful time of christmas where you give to and spend time with those close to you. spring, the colorful flowers blooming, the leaves starting to return as a vibrant green, and so many holidays as well, easter, valentine's day. the feeling of the students that school is going to be ending soon, the warming temperatures where you can put on light clothes and go places with your friends. summer, having fun on the beach, splashing in the water to cool off, everything in full bloom as the warm breeze drifts through your hair. the experiences of catching fireflies as the sun sets. laying on the ground at night, looking up at the stars and wondering, with nothing but the soothing sounds of the crickets and your own thoughts of how blessed you and everyone else is to be granted existence on this planet. life is beautiful, really.
There’s something about this that’s super calming, maybe it’s the nostalgia of old times, remembering playing this game and hearing this song for only a few minutes but it’s still ingrained into my memory. I love this and it’s filling me with such a calm energy :3
in 2015 i was getting bullied. i was getting hurt physically at school and when i came home i also got hurt. one of my new found friends helped me go through this time and she introduced me to undertale. i started playing it with her and she and undertale became my escape and my safe space. we would draw and we made a bunker together. she and i were very good friends back than till she moved away. i still see her sometimes but i think she doesn’t recognise me anymore. every time i see her in the bus i think about the memories we made. brakes my heart that we don’t talk anymore. thank you toby fox and my dearest friend to go through that time and make my childhood better

Checkpoint ive discovered undertale in 2017. i was only a kid back then. i went outside and watched my friend play it on her laptop. eventually started watched youtubers on my moms account playing undertale. it was fun times. looking back, i probably was happy. even though now i cant feel the same joy again, im still trying to find my own reason to be content in this life. through undertale i met many people, discovered many small and big communities, and its a part of what makes myself me. this song is the only thing that made me really smile in october.

I'm imagining this as a scenario from the hopefully near future. Me and my partner had a life long goal, to save up enough money to build our own home in the mountainous woods of a small town. We lived there already, yeah, but we were in an urban area, living in an apartment. We'd finished building our cottage right before the snowy season set in, and we visited the homes to make sure nothing leaked when there was a light powder of snow. After scouting the outside of the home, moving broken branches, and cleaned out the driveway, we sat inside of the unfurnished and yet finished home. We had gotten cold, forgetting to bring warm enough jackets, so we dragged the pile of blankets and cushions that used to be in the back of the echoey room to the firepit at the front. I had always been fascinated by firepits; we weren't allowed to have one where I used to live because of the fire hazard. So we lit it, as a sort of confirmation that this *was* our home now. He grabbed the guitar and started playing the songs from our youth, a game he used to play and music I enjoyed. Stumbling over the rythym in a warm wooden room, he played for me the song I most associated with comfort and home. I leaned against him as he strummed the chords, relishing in the contact that I was once deprived of as a kid and teen. Sometimes long distance relationships work, and it would forever be my greatest achievemt that I found someone as kind as him to spend my life with.
I got a sad story so after my dog died I lisend to this every bight before I went ti sleep and in my head i just thout everything was going to be alright. She was everything. She was there. She was good. Miss you Bailey.

Ever since my older sister has been making preparations to go to college my views of growing up have changed a lot. before I looked at growing up as a good thing being older would make me cooler but now I just wish there was some way to stop getting older and slow time but this song makes my very soul shine with comfort and peace.

Currently writing a fanfic for the game. I got a bit stuck when I had to start writing from Toriel's perspective and had the idea of using the OST to help. Using this loop helped a lot! Undertale songs can always bring up my memories for some kind of reason, it always remind me of the times I had before, when I am with my friends, playing games. Sadly, I haven't have that kind of feelings in a long time, they all seem like ages ago. I miss the times where I don't have to thought a lot, and just chat with friends. It's never awkward even if you guys didn't talk and do things. It's just nice to have friends by your side. Nowadays, I only have myself, (&family). I never had that kind of friends anymore. Maaaaaaaaan, undertale is such an amazing game, even after all these years. I got into it because I heard Megalovania on the internet and fell in love with the song, and then I would learn more and more about this game until I ended up playing this game myself. It is filled with pure joy from start to finish, and I'm so happy others can agree. Deltarune does it's own thing, and I'm happy that game is taking off so well, but nothing beats those memories of meeting sans and flowey for the first time, fighting asriel dreamurr, Asgore, hearing all the jokes from papyrus, the list goes on! To top it all off, the soundtrack makes you feel just that much more nostalgic for a game that came out not even that long ago. This game means so much to me. I won't say it ""saved me" or anything excessive like that, but I still feel so much when thinking about this game again. Toby made a fantastic game, and you did a great job bringing those feelings back!
Soundtracks like this and hopes and dreams make me calm down s bit since I am somebody who has extreme anger issues, all I want to say is Toby was smart when making this game.
I legit saw sans and Megolovainia and though, "Well, this looks like a cringey meme game. Let's see what it's all about." Then I started to realize it was actually a well written story that the author took seriously. That's EXTREMELY rare to see in games. It opened my heart to a feeling of wonder and my mind to limitless possibilities.

I've never really had friends. It's always been hard for me to connect with people. When I started high-school, I met a group of kids who loved undertale and got me into it. It was the first time I ever clicked with anyone. I've moved away since then, and I still struggle to make friends, but whenever I hear undertale music, It reminds me it's possible to find people like you. No one is ever really alone. Not forever, at least ❤️

I put this on loop sometimes when I'm feeling a bit lonely at home. Undertale was a christmas gift from my dad back in I wanna say 2017 (i was in middle school at the time i remember that much). When my dad passed away in August of 2022 I found a lot of comfort in the Undertale soundtrack, Omori soundtrack (mainly By Your Side, Duet, some of the happier songs), Oneshot soundtrack, and Animal Crossing (gamecube version) soundtrack. My dad was the main reason I played all of these games. This song in particular was a song that my dad liked a lot. So of course this track right here was something that meant the most to me. I'm going to be playing this in the background of our first christmas without him. It'll just be that little bit of him that keeps us stable throughout the day.
Update from about 7 months after my dad passed (Febuary 2023): Things are pretty good. I'm currently taking a break from college since it's a lot to handle right now. I've been looking for a job which isn't going well but I'm gonna get there eventually. My brother is doing pretty good in high school. My mom is back to school learning to be a marriage and family counselor. Our Christmas was pretty good. We went up to see family and my mom actually got remarried pretty quickly. There was a little bit of tension there between me and her but I soon came to realize that it was all perfectly fine in both my book and my dad's. Of course I'm a part of a religious family so I was a bit hesitant to accept it at first but realized it was perfectly fine under our rules. He's a pretty cool guy and he got my mom into watching Stranger Things which is kinda cool if you ask me. We've been making it through each day with only a couple bumps in the road but things are still... good. Almost better. I like to believe dad is looking down from above and helping us move along more smoother.

I feel like the undertale fandom is finally coming back to what it used to be. Things got scary for a bit and people were really cruel towards it. But it’s good to see that love for something wholesome like this is still out there.
Pretty sure it's because the more... "intense" Undertale fans ended up migrating to Deltarune now that it's picked up, and the people left are the chill parts of the fandom who just enjoy the game for what it is.

I’m currently 13, and ever since I’ve taken care of my body both mentally and physically, my life got better. A few years ago, I started to play undertale. I didn’t understand it, and gave up quickly. After some time, I played it with my family, and got the hang of it. Around a month ago, I finally beat both genocide and pacifist. Happy tears from pacifist, and sad tears from genocide. It was nice to be a part of the family. Toriel just wanted to keep all humans safe, Asgore just wanted to keep all monsters safe, and Asriel just wanted to keep himself safe. But frisk, never gave up. The player could control frisk and choose the output of the game. Most people have decided to keep everyone safe, and that resulted in the best ending ever.
Thank you Toriel for taking care of me. Thank you Napstablook for making me understand music. Thank you Sans for making me laugh. Thank you papyrus for making me want to continue. Thank you Undyne for showing me how to defend myself. Thank you dummy for letting me understand boundaries. Thank you alphys for making me understand love. Thank you mettaton for quizzing me. Thank you asgore for showing me how to stay determined. Thank you Asriel for helping me understand the world.

I love this Undertale soundtrack so badly. I always listen to it when I feel lonely, or after an argument. It makes me feel so cozy and warm, yet there is some bittersweetness coming along.
I honestly really miss those 5(almost 6) years I've spend playing Undertale, watching videos about this game and just being obsessed with it. Toriel is one of my favorite characters, because she is the mother figure I wish I had. She made me feel at home. I could feel her love through the screen. I was able to feel the warmth in her cozy home.
I even wonder how life for Frisk would have been if they stayed with Toriel in the Ruins? Probably very wonderful. But actually, maybe living with her on the surface with all of your friends sounds like a better life, ha ha.
Life couldn't have been better without this game. Thank you Toby Fox. For everything. Can't wait for Deltarune Chapter 2 to come out!

I’m gonna miss the good old days when Undertale was at its peak. I feel like it’s truly changed the online community as a whole and put the feels into people more than any other game had at that point (and arguably up to today). The soundtrack also fits the game perfectly, with each track making the moment evoke more feeling than any soundtrack I’ve ever heard. From story and dialogue to feels and music, Undertale was and is, in my opinion, the greatest game I have ever played and I’m grateful that we have people like Toby Fox in the community. And if Toby Fox happens to see this, thank you for creating Undertale. It has truly changed the community for the better.

I never thought a video game would save my life. Back when the pandemic started, my mental health was the equivalent of a dumpster fire and only getting worse. If it wasn't for my cousin recommending this game to me, I don't know if I would be able to say that I would still be here today. I won't get into much detail, but Undertale was something I grew attached to and I wanted to complete the game. That interest, that reason to stay alive another day so I could complete it, it kept me going long enough to rethink my decision. After I finished my first True Pacifist, my first run of the game, I realized how acts of kindness can change everything. Undertale showed me that my decisions can affect others around me. Thanks to that one fateful conversation, this one game, one screw it choice, I'm still alive today. So, to whoever stumbles across my comment, remember you're loved. One action from you can affect the lives of those around you.

I get so infuriated when people think of Chara as a demon, the point of the game is that you, the player, are responsible for your actions. She clearly had issues given what we know about her, but again, she was just a child.

Undertale strikes the heart like no other. I am pleased I grew up in the generation that was given this masterpiece. The songs behind Undertale is so perfect in their own ways, even if its a whoosh sound for a hotland vent or an entire theme, all of the songs and sounds are perfect the way they are. and there is nothing that I would changed with Undertale. The story, the characters, everything creates a perfect feeling, and the soundtrack helps crackle down on the feeling, as if you were there to experience what Frisk experienced. although Toby has said that he will never make a game as good as Undertale, he proved himself wrong. Deltarune chapter 1 and 2 are perfect, pretty much the same feel as Undertale. I cannot wait for what Toby Fox pulls next, because whatever he makes I will enjoy, even if I have to wait for years, I will. Thanks for reading.

I’m not certain but I believe as of September, Toby said he is done with chapter 3, so now he is working on chapters 4 and 5 (if you didn’t know, he is releasing all 3 at the same time) and he said he took on a team to help him, so hopefully we’ll be getting them within the next few years. Personally, I’m SUPER HYPED for chapters 6 and 7, since those are probably going to be epic and having me on the edge of my seat (I’m thinking final face offs between the Lancer Fan Club and the Titans, Kris revealing the other soul inside them, Gaster stuff, and hopefully an ending where we live Kris to live out their life in peace.)

Undertale is my happy place, it makes me have a soft yet warm feeling inside. I listen to this when i want to chill, calm down or just be in my happy place. I wish i had someone like Toriel to comfort me, and give me hugs. Thank you for making this wonderful piece of art, and thank you, to Toby Fox, for making this wonderful world of Undertale.
I honestly can't wait for December to listen to this. It'll feel more different than last year's Christmas knowing I can finally see more of my family. As well as finally enjoying it with other classmates in person, too, if things do not head south. It baffles me how this year and last year swept by so fast, and then knowing I'll finally be older. Undertale has always been my favorite game back in 2015, and coming back to the music in these times is remarkable. It's a great nostalgia trip, and an even greater one when in the future other's can listen to the music freely, getting together and enjoying the fun. I really can't wait for this year and what the future has to bring. Just the thoughts of warmer times and happier ones as well bring me deep joy.
edit 12/1/21: hey everyone, I never knew this blew up in the course of 3 months. it's finally December but the first day of it is not going as well. I have lost my best friend today, not of death of course, but we had to end it there. this song brings me comfort and nostalgia and is soothing me throughout the day. I was having an anxiety crisis, but I always left my phone on my bed when I'm there. My cat stepped on it and accidentally put this song that was in recomended, now I listen to this everytime I'm not okay, with my kitten sleeping on my lap

@@QUBIQUBED Chara is only finishing what the player started, you were in control the whole time. you pressed that MERCY or FIGHT button, every love, or LV you gained, every Armor or Weapon that was picked up was by you, clicking on the option.

My older sister sang a version of this with lyrics to me a really long time ago, the night before she left home for about a year or more. Never did i think a little game like this would change my life so much, it’s been just such surreal journey from the ruins all the way to spamton, this is probably the only game even to this day that still just gives me almost a mindless sense of childlike joy. This game has taught me so many life lessons, there’s times where I genuinely think I can’t keep going and I whisper to myself “stay determined” as cheesy as that sounds. I’ve been rambling on long enough about how i love this game so I’ll end it here before it gets much longer 😅

I’ve been struggling a lot recently with anxiety, sleep loss, depression and panic attacks. winter, the cold, soft snow falling from the sky and allowing you to have fun making snowmen, snow angels, and having snowball fights. the feeling of coming inside the house after the cold outside and sitting by the fireplace to warm up, sitting with a blanket over yourself and drifting asleep. the wonderful time of christmas where you give to and spend time with those close to you.
spring, the colorful flowers blooming, the leaves starting to return as a vibrant green, and so many holidays as well, easter, valentine's day. the feeling of the students that school is going to be ending soon, the warming temperatures where you can put on light clothes and go places with your friends.
summer, having fun on the beach, splashing in the water to cool off, everything in full bloom as the warm breeze drifts through your hair. the experiences of catching fireflies as the sun sets. laying on the ground at night, looking up at the stars and wondering, with nothing but the soothing sounds of the crickets and your own thoughts of how blessed you and everyone else is to be granted existence on this planet.

in 2015 i was getting bullied. i was getting hurt physically at school and when i came home i also got hurt. one of my new found friends helped me go through this time and she introduced me to undertale. i started playing it with her and she and undertale became my escape and my safe space. we would draw and we made a bunker together. she and i were very good friends back than till she moved away. i still see her sometimes but i think she doesn’t recognise me anymore. every time i see her in the bus i think about the memories we made. brakes my heart that we don’t talk anymore.

ive discovered undertale in 2017. i was only a kid back then. i went outside and watched my friend play it on her laptop. eventually started watched youtubers on my moms account playing undertale. it was fun times. looking back, i probably was happy. even though now i cant feel the same joy again, im still trying to find my own reason to be content in this life. through undertale i met many people, discovered many small and big communities, and its a part of what makes myself me.

Autumn-Winter 2021… Best and worst months of my life.
Lots of family issues, lots of grief, lots of fighting, yet also feeling so happy and cozy. Is it weird to feel so incredibly nostalgic for something that happened less than a year ago?

I'm imagining this as a scenario from the hopefully near future.
Me and my partner had a life long goal, to save up enough money to build our own home in the mountainous woods of a small town. We lived there already, yeah, but we were in an urban area, living in an apartment.
We'd finished building our cottage right before the snowy season set in, and we visited the homes to make sure nothing leaked when there was a light powder of snow.
After scouting the outside of the home, moving broken branches, and cleaned out the driveway, we sat inside of the unfurnished and yet finished home.
We had gotten cold, forgetting to bring warm enough jackets, so we dragged the pile of blankets and cushions that used to be in the back of the echoey room to the firepit at the front.
I had always been fascinated by firepits; we weren't allowed to have one where I used to live because of the fire hazard. So we lit it, as a sort of confirmation that this *was* our home now.
He grabbed the guitar and started playing the songs from our youth, a game he used to play and music I enjoyed. Stumbling over the rythym in a warm wooden room, he played for me the song I most associated with comfort and home. I leaned against him as he strummed the chords, relishing in the contact that I was once deprived of as a kid and teen.
Sometimes long distance relationships work, and it would forever be my greatest achievemt that I found someone as kind as him to spend my life with.
I got a sad story so after my dog died I lisend to this every bight before I went ti sleep and in my head i just thout everything was going to be alright.
She was everything. She was there. She was good.

I used to be very introverted. I didn't really talk much with people, because that would make me very nervous, so, I avoided making friends for a bit. Then, one year, i met a someone. A boy that was very social with everyone. I decided to try and be friends with him. It was the best decision that I ever did, because we then became lovers.
As we learned from each other, I learned that he was a huge Undertale fan, just like me. This song holds a special place in my heart, and his too. One day, he played this song on the guitar in front of me. I recognized the song and I was surprised. I smiled so much, because I loved that wholesome surprise. This was a little cozy moment between us, and i absolutely loved it.

Undertale songs can always bring up my memories for some kind of reason, it always remind me of the times I had before, when I am with my friends, playing games. Sadly, I haven't have that kind of feelings in a long time, they all seem like ages ago. I miss the times where I don't have to thought a lot, and just chat with friends. It's never awkward even if you guys didn't talk and do things. It's just nice to have friends by your side. Nowadays, I only have myself, (&family). I never had that kind of friends anymore. Undertale songs can always bring up my memories. Maybe, just maybe, this world isn't so bad afterall.

Maaaaaaaaan, undertale is such an amazing game, even after all these years. I got into it because I heard Megalovania on the internet and fell in love with the song, and then I would learn more and more about this game until I ended up playing this game myself. It is filled with pure joy from start to finish, and I'm so happy others can agree. Deltarune does it's own thing, and I'm happy that game is taking off so well, but nothing beats those memories of meeting sans and flowey for the first time, fighting asriel dreamurr, Asgore, hearing all the jokes from papyrus, the list goes on! To top it all off, the soundtrack makes you feel just that much more nostalgic for a game that came out not even that long ago. This game means so much to me. I won't say it ""saved me" or anything excessive like that, but I still feel so much when thinking about this game again.
Toby made a fantastic game, and you did a great job bringing those feelings back!
Soundtracks like this and hopes and dreams make me calm down s bit since I am somebody who has extreme anger issues, all I want to say is Toby was smart when making this game.
I legit saw sans and Megolovainia and though, "Well, this looks like a cringey meme game. Let's see what it's all about." Then I started to realize it was actually a well written story that the author took seriously. That's EXTREMELY rare to see in games. It opened my heart to a feeling of wonder and my mind to limitless possibilities.
