I would've liked a wear test after 8 hours to see how it held up, but I think it's quite nice as well.

I have noticed that as someone with fair/light skin with quite a lot of redness, sometimes it can be difficult to tell if your foundation is too light or if the coverage is just really good at blanking out the redness that it makes you look pale. When I bought drugstore foundation in my younger days I always bought the lightest shade & that was usually Ivory & the first shade in numerical sequence. (It was often very pink but beggars can't be choosers lol) The drugstore now offers a much better shade & formula variety than say 40 or even 10, 15 years ago. I mean Fair is now a category & they actually designate cool, neutral & warm undertones in some lines as well as matte/luminous finishes.The main problem with drugstore foundations is how quickly they get discontinued or reformulated :(
Why do we need to wear so much foundation? May be it's nice after you put it on, but after a few hours it might change. I prefer concealer where needed and a good bb cream with sun screen ( I'm 62 and I live in Italy)

Your statement about staying home and not feeling like you're missing out is PERFECT. I'm the same way and people are always making me feel guilty about it but I'm fine with it so I don't know why they can't be 🤔 thank you 💕
I find that the biggest difference between expensive and budget foundation is not how they look when applied, rather how they look after hours of wear. So it would be good to look at see this foundation looks after 8 hours or so.

We're kindred spirits. I like to stay home too. Makeup looks spot on. Doesn't look too light to me.
The old formula was waYyyyyyy better, the new 'active' is not nearly as creamy and has way less coverage (I have oily skin).
Fit me is fine for my oily skin. Never tried this one
I agree Sylvia! This new formula is too thick and doesn't cover well. They need to bring back the old formula!

Yup. Quite nice indeed. I use maybelline as my everyday makeup and leave the expensive brands for special occasions. It is affordable and really good

it looks nice, just a tad too matt for me, I love a glow on my 61 year old skin 😄
My mum who’s 76 uses it and she loves it because she’s got normal to oily skin with hardly any wrinkles. I’m 50 and I’ve got normal to slightly oily skin but I don’t like the matte feel on my skin.
Wayne have you used the hylauronic skin tint foundation from Loreal?" they" are saying it is a dupe for armani luminous silk? Love that you tested Maybelline... There products are always pretty good imo

I don't know if they carry it in the UK, but I really enjoy L'Oreal Age Perfect serum foundation.

I stopped wearing foundation at 57. Im 60 now and wear concealer on my needed areas only.
Wayne I am the same age as you with very oily skin, and I love this foundation. I actually reach for it more than my MAC and Ester Lauder. It holds up beautifully all day, and I’m talking like 18+ hours.
I've been using this for years..and im 44 and get dry skin. So happy you gave it the thumbs-up haha

I think it's really amazing, the luminous finish which is also matt is what makes the skin look healthy

It looks a bit light on your face initially, but I heard that foundation oxidized and would look darker later on. Is that true?

I bet that foundation looks better over time. I won't fly either they say your more likely to have a car crash and you are but I'd rather that than be in a plane crash thank you ❤️
My two go-to foundation products that I use interchangeably are L'Oreal Infallible 24 hr fresh wear, and Revlon age defying 3x foundation.
I love the 24 hour fresh wear infallible foundation by L'Oreal too! it's beautiful on many different skin types too. typically I have to be careful with matte foundations or products in general because of my very dry textured skin but I can pull that one off.

Thanks for the review. This foundation wouldn't be for me. Amen to not liking to fly!!! I don't feel like I've missed out on a thing either. I've flown enough times in the past to know I'd rather choose places to vacation where I can drive or go by train! I was on pins and needles just today because my son in law and 2 yr old grandson flew to the East Coast! 😳 Thankfully they got there safely.
50+ skin,normal definitely not oily, And I make this one work also ;).
Glad Wayne is showing us this color; It actually looks on the color chart to be to orange so I went to the trouble to get shade 110 and 118 and mix the two of them together. I probably could’ve saved myself the trouble. But being that this is about 6 dollars right now on Amazon or Walmart it still a good deal!
Try the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator. It's literally $6.00 US. I tried it and literally like it more than my CT Beautiful or Magic foundation. I had heard about it on youtube and picked it up at Target one day on a whim. I was seriously shocked. I thought the maybelline looked nice.

This is absolutely favorite foundation and I think it looks better than and wears just as good as Double Wear. I’m not as big a fan of the concealer, though. I do tend to have combination/oily skin.
I like a mat finish but I've been told for mature skin it's not good to use a mat finish. Is that true?

I love Superstay, its definitely a staple foundation I keep on hand, and I thought I would hate it with dry skin but I was wrong

Looks great! Over In the past few years I have tried so many foundations (every price range) and I have gone back to Super Stay every time. I have oily 50 year old skin and it is the only long wearing foundation that doesn't age me.
I just picked up the concealer and used it today for the first time and I love it. I love the formula and how it looks under the eye, I am same over 40 year old skin. Beautiful. ❤️🥰

Oh Wayne - go travel my dear, there are other ways of transportation. While I am not afraid of flying, with Covid and how filthy human beings can be we just upgraded our camper to a very large 5th Wheel. It really is glamping and has all the comforts of home. Best part we bring our fur babies with us! We just got back on Wednesday from Disney World and it was so much fun. Get out there and see the world ~
