“The weight of the men meant that 45 minutes had to be spent burning fuel in order for the helicopters to be safe to fly.” That’s the problem when you’ve so many men with massive balls
Hiya mate, 2 SAS soldiers were injured one had a concussion from him being too close to an SAS C4 charge going off inside the engine bay of an aircraft, the second caught a piece of shrapnel from an aircraft going bang, I believe it caught him in the leg. They both made a full recovery in 2-3 days.
Yes they did all the recon prior to the assault and provide more fire support such as manning mortars or M240s for covering fire if needed as well as calling in the navy guns before, during and after the attack. I hope this helps
3 WEEKS TO PREPARE.!! that's got to have come from a toffee nosed HEAD SHED.. GREAT WORK GUYS ALWAYS A PLEASURE SEEING AND READING ABOUT OUR "FLOWER POT MEN" 😜👍🙏💯🇬🇧
Couldn't McManners (Royal Naval Gunfire Support) and the 105 done it all, if necessary with a load of safe and stationary troops on the ground, ready to shoot at anybody trying to move a plane?
Canoeists where Royal marines in the picture. The mountain team would have been marines. The rest of the SF team would have been a mixture of SBS and SAS. Let the SAS take the plaudits as the SBS are happy with that as they prefer to be clandestine.
All very interesting, and a pretty impressive - and successful operation, it seems ! But please note that in GB English, "h" is (or should be) pronounced 'aich' with a soft 'h'... It was mispronounced so often in this video e.g. "HMS..." that it really stood out, sorry to say. But otherwise a valuable video, thank you.

Before anyone points it out, I know its not "the HMS".
Too late, sorry lol

Another excellent video. I think your channel has great potential for growth. Good information, good narration and good pictures.
Thanks very much, I appreciate the support. Hopefully you're right, would be great to grow :)
Good video mate and nicely narrated 👍

Paddy Blair Mayne taught them well.
Great video!
RIP Ray (Paddy) Armstrong - Never forgotten mate….
Did the SBS take part in the pebble island raid?

@Matt-Durham, why do you think they didn't sneak in, leave timed charges and sneak out, why all the naval fire.

You either need a new keyboard, or need to stop typing with your fist. Hope this helps.
Hope they get it right and much faster next time.

One of these Pucaras was eventually taken back to the UK.
Think it's at the IWM Duxford
Long Range Desert Group's style!!!
The operation on the Mullen river
Thumbs up for no use of the rising question intonation in your narration.

DO NOT SAY "THE HMS,... " YOU ARE ACTUALLY SAYING "THE HER MAJESTY'S SHIP"..... JUST SAY "HMS"
SAS, overrated thugs.
Overrated by whom? In what way?
They were given a job, they did the job. 'nuff said.
When the subject is the SAS your mouth should remain like your youtube account. Empty
Provo per chance? 🤣🤡
You sound bitter, like a member of the Black Storks
Mmm, really? So why do loads of the worlds special forces take their inspiration from the SAS then? Not to mention directly been trained by them!
