Engineered to reality by drawing on the full range of McLaren’s experience and expertise across the highest levels of motorsport and supercar and hypercar development, the Solus GT brings to life the futuristic McLaren concept that featured in the Gran Turismo SPORT video game.
At less than 1,000kg in weight and with aerodynamic performance including downforce in excess of 1,200kg, the Solus GT - which is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine - is capable of the fastest lap times of any McLaren outside of single-seater racing and delivers a driving experience close to the engagement and sensation of driving a Formula 1 car.

The V10 engine is the best thing about this car and it sounds oldschool.

might probably be the last V10 we are gonna see, as even lambo decided to kill its signature V10 in favor of going to generic v8s... for me the sad thing is that, we didnt even get to see proper ''modernized'' V10s in attempts to keep it going like no hybrids and i dont even remember seeing a factory built twin turbo one to try and get mileage out of it

@McLarenAutomotiveTV Hey i think LEGO should make SPEED Champions set for the 60th anni of McLaren and it should be a Mclaren Senna with the Asphalt 9 60th anni McLaren decal i mean lego should have the copyright to do so since they collabed by putting LEGO Thechnic cars into the game(even tough they toke them away later on) so cause of that Asphalt 9 has the copyrights to LEGO and so LEGO should have the copyrights to Asphalt 9 i mean lets say they don't can't they just get permission?Olso nice video

The lack of a full-size diffuser because the gearbox is in the way is a huge packaging failure.

Failure in what way? This is track-only; do you really think youre ever going to get a comparison vs the competition?
Sort of. Almost every car has this exact same issue including F1 cars. Even the Valkyrie with its amazing diffuser has it. Generally, any car which has a "full" diffuser like you say just has a longer rear end so that there is space to create a diffuser after the gearbox. The real dirty secret to this car was that customers demanded it years ago and McLaren tried to rebody the Senna as the Sabre and those customers unanimously refused it so McLaren finally made it correctly to save face with those customers in so cal
