Don’t Overthink It | Short Film

When a student finds himself stuck in the seemingly endless loop of monotony that is his everyday life, he gets a recommendation from his therapist to think about his day from a different angle.

Short films on how I adore you. I think it’s really nice how it portrays anxiety (?). That the animation is less realistic and “out of this world”, which is what anxiety is; Having fear of unrealistic things. *Overthinking*. And when the main characters snaps back to reality, everything is fine. Kind of like he is overcoming a panic attack. And at the end, making peace with his anxiety, and learning to work *with* it instead of against it! Really nice job! (ALSO THE ART?? Absolutely stunning. The art style is so cool, and so fluid!!)

awww this is so wholesome!!! I love the little animated segments and how they were used to communicate scenarios that would be hard to do live action for! Gives that 'fantasy' feel as well. Fantastic animation and message!!

This is so cool!! I’m animating a short film rn for school and I’ve kinda lost motivation, but seeing this helped me gain motivation to keep working on it! I love the art style and how it portrays anxiety:) oh also I love how the irl people translated to the animated characters!! I love seeing other artists/filmmakers make stuff like I do!!

The different styles took me by surprise and added so much to the film:) the acting in both “Don’t Overthink It” and “Inside the Mind of Virgil Hammond” was awesome!
