Sometimes the fear of winning does more damage than the fear of losing. Three sets literally thrown to the wind in the last points and always with a 3-4 point lead.
France could have literally won that match 4-0, given the fact that were leading during most time in all sets. I am very impressed by their progress. Netherlands is of course a very solid team - they know exactly when to push it in order to win. Wonderful match.
Since when has "could" have won any impact in sports. And a volleyball game never ends with 4-0.

Why are the French so bad when the Italians are so good at valeyball?
because Italy is better than France in all sports, and volleyball is no different.
France is (citing just recent events in team sports) :
-2018 World Champion and 2022 vice-World Champion in football (Italy not qualified for both 😂)
-2021 Men's Olympic champion in volleyball
-2021 Men's and Women's Olympic champion in handball
-2022 6 Nations rugby champion

@@mohsenalizadeh5699yep...especially in men and women handball, both meet the same opponent in the last two olympic (2016, 2020) Denmark and Russia, france got defeated at the finals in 2016, then beat both of them in 2021. But next in Paris there is room for new champion to take a medal which usually belong Russia i.e Artistic Swimming, Rhymic Gymnastic, Women's High Jump, Women's Team Fencing (Sabre and Foil). Ukraine could take those position, they are very good in that.
