But what’s good about these interviews is that, when players are actually playing, you don’t really get to know their personality or what they are actually like. They are in the bubble of the club, and all we had to go off (back then) was news paper headlines. These days it’s social media headlines. These interviews are really allowing us to get to know a bit more about the person behind the footballer. More please. 👍❤️

It certainly helps though to be able to speak your thoughts quickly. And to not be able to organise your thoughts can reduce intellectual productivity in the moment.

No issue with United players coming on, love the format where there's legends from other sports and other teams coming in every now and then too. Nothing wrong with leaning into United legends. They hold the pull of the 90's and 2000s.

I think Wazza raises a good point, Bellingham and Foden behind Kane with Mainoo and Rice behind them will be tough to break down and have a goal threat. That would bring the best out of TAA and Shaw as well, it would just be dependent on Shaw being fit but it would be a solid team.
Then Gordon and Saka coming on when the game gets stretched, that could be a really lethal combination.
The only problem is I don't trust Southgate to be able to pull it off, it would require possession based football which he has no idea on how to play

Essentially after a blistering Euro 2004 he was abysmal at major tournaments for us. World Cup 2010 in particular he couldn’t even control the football. It was absolutely baffling given what a class player he was for United

Joined when they were 6th left when they were in 20th. Was unable to take any criticism and was always first to push the blame to the players.

I ran out of superlatives for Rooney years ago as he just constantly left me in awe of how and what he was as a footballer. Just so much about him that he left on the pitch every week, it was at times unbelievable. His raw, explosive ability coupled with his aggressive, fearless and strong nature is something you rarely if at all see in the modern game now and he had it in spades. Incredible player and as Gary said, easily one of the best players to ever play for Utd/England. Brilliant interview. Class. 🤝
