That's pretty ironic, your previous office was so humid that a piece of paper would crinkle on the table, and now your new one has the complete opposite issue. The motor sounds a bit like an AC compressor. You can test the 6.5L by filling a soda bottle and pouring it in three and a half times. As long as your water isn't too hard, ultrasonics are probably the most simple option. Very easy maintenance, just a weekly swish the bucket with bleach and rub the nebulizer clean. Reasonable output too, and very quiet.
