I found Alan Wake 2 equally hypnotic and eagerly await what they do next, especially the time when the Control sequel is announced. Alan Wake and Control are so interlinked that the references in AW2 made me go back into Control again as soon as I finished AW2.
I've been following these guys since Max Payne and they never made a mediocre game. The mix of great storytelling, atmosphere, innovative gameplay and great visuals is their trademark.
@@Nichi-JiI feel the same even though I end up replaying it every few years, but I do wonder how much of that is due to Microsoft. I know they didn’t let Sam Lake write the live action segments and I believe the actor who played Dylan in Control was originally supposed to play the protagonist until Microsoft stepped in wanting a more high profile actor for the role.
I got introduced to Quantum Break back in October 2020 and that had to be one of the best days of my life. I finished it the same night and I was absolutely blown away, it's still a time that I look back very fondly on. Their creativity is unmatched compared to other studios and I hope that never changes.
I've been saying this for several years You really nailed it. Remedy games are full of interesting concepts. World building in Control was phenomenal. How each department changed,shape-shifted all the time. Various notes indicating that people working here werent just straight machines with no emotions, in notes, people were discussing work, their free time, what kind of activities/games they gonna do. The idea of a writer who encountered dark place and he can change reality using his poems? Damn The idea of a Noir detective declaring a war against whole town full of drug dillers and an etire Aesir corporation. And the Game is full of Iconic quotes like"You find that Lady Luck was really a hooker, and you were fresh out of cash" The idea of secret organization like FBI dealing with supernatural events, approaching these events from a scientific point of view. And also , they using cheap TV-shows about paranatural stories to cover REAL PARANATURAL STORIES? Goddamnit. Thats what I really want from a game. An interesting mindfucking story.
Do you know what I want from a game? A game. A game that has quality good gameplay. Unfortunately I am unable to say that Remedy games have that besides Max Payne 1 and 2. I recently played through every Remedy game to get ready for Alan Wake 2 and sure their games has great concepts, great quotes, good mixture of live action and game, but they essentially lack good gameplay after the MP games. Gunplay feels off, jumping feels off, interacting with the world is almost quite non existant(if I dont count story collectibles after you steer slightly off from the main path) and its just on the rails dumb action to get you to point B to get a story cutscene. It also amazes me that Alan Wake 2 is unable to do correct mirror reflections even with ray tracing when Max Payne 2 had near perfect reflections. I expected a lot from Alan Wake 2 after that long wait, but they simply did not deliver an amazing product that everyone(or most people) believe that it is.
Control is literally my LoTR of video games. I play it every single year and always end up finding atleast one detail I hadn’t noticed on the previous playthrough. To me, Control has the best world building and environmental storytelling I have *ever* seen in a game.
Personally - Not a fan of their games but I respect what they do. They make unique titles and make games right. I completely understand why their fans love their games.
Someone said that Remedy makes AAA games with the mind of indie devs, and I can't agree more with them. Remedy could have gone with easy choice and make easy money, but they let the fresh idea rise above all. Hell, who even make an apologize video because he can't continue making the sequel that fans and himself really wanted.
I'm glad a younger generation get to experience Alan Wake. Next to Silent hill 2 and Ocarina of time, Alan Wake has been my favourite game since launch. I've probably beaten it a dozen times or more. Alan Wake 2 took it to the next level. Im nearing the end, and it has firmly launched itself to my personal favourite game of all time. I can fully understand why some people may not like it. But to me it has been an absolutely perfect gaming experience. I was skeptical that they could pull off a satisfying sequal to the first game, especially 13 years later. Not only did they succeed, they took it further and blew me away. 10/10
The more people that experience Alan Wake, the better! I still need to try SH 2 and OoT someday though. And I agree, Alan Wake 2 took it to the next level. It improved upon many issues I had with the first game, yet managed to surpass some of the best qualities in Alan Wake 1 by miles. One of my all time faves too!
If you have a decent PC, I highly recommend Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition. Takes a little setting up, but totally worth it. Or you could wait for the remake, hopefully it's released next year. If you want to try OoT, again if you have a decent PC I find the best experience is using the emulator Citra. Glad you enjoyed AW2. I don't want it to end. Will probably be the first game I actually play a NG+ when they release it lol.@@stormtalksgames
I‘m a huge fan of their games since Max Payne and nowadays every new game feels like a new season of your favorite show. You sort of get new episodes of what you love so much, all your favorite characters return and you get more of the insane story. I really do love them so much. They don’t make games for everyone but I am really thankful they do what they do. And damn, they made me start leraning finnish language 😂
It was christmas 2016, and I hadn't had a console since the nintendo Wii so I bought an Xbox one to get into gaming again, the console came with two 'free games': Quantum break and Alan Wake. I started playing Quantum break, I loved it and then I played Alan Wake, it scared me but I finished it nonetheless and that's how I got to know remedy entertainment, they have a special place in my gaming heart cause it was with their games that I started playing again, it's true, no one makes games like them (I love the whole remedy connected universe thing!)
Remedy games are just the right amount of “out there” that just makes everything about them incredibly enjoyable. I learned through a close friend who’s an amazing author that switching between moods, from serious to humorous, being incredibly hard but when you pull it off right, you do something amazing. She is always brave enough and smart enough to make it work, and so does Remedy. It just really makes you think about the material for ages.
Yes! How fast they can switch the feel of the game is done masterfully, and the stories they tell are so profound, that there's always some aspect to think about!
remedy games are unique because they came from Sam Lake’s unconscious not from the dictate of corporate people that want a game that could appeal to mass gamer.
Amazing video, my friend!! Remedy is truly one of its kind and I'm SO happy Alan Wake 2 has got more people to pay attention to their others games. Cant wait for their next masterpiece!
As a fan of REMEDY I´ve been waiting for ALAN WAKE 2 since when, and then it came out it´s a trully masterpiece. They learned so much from previous games and implemented so many thigs that it feels like the other Universes are connected now. Take casey for example he really feels like he is MAX PAYNE. The rooms 665 and 667 is an anology from MP1 and MP2 or the rooms in the hotel feel like they are from shining. It feels so good to think about these moments. And the szene with singing is a cherry on top of the very delicious cake. I´ve been impressed all the time.
IF youve played Alan Wake 2 and not uantum Break, i urge you to play is because there are HEAVY tie-ins between the two games that can help expand your understanding of who Warlin Door [Martin Hatch] is and Tim Breaker [Jack Joyce/ Time Breaker] and how shapes, shifting and why he dreams of him
Play Quantum Break. It's my favorite take on time travel, ever. Basically, it explains how time travel is possible despite no-one ever coming back to visit from the future. This is because the technology, the machine, needs to exists in the point in time you're traveling to. This means that the second the first machine is finished, a person from the future IMMEDIATELY exits, as the first machine is the furthest back they could travel. They inform the inventor that time travel was/is/will be a huge mistake and they need to begin to repair the damage right away. Beth Wilder's paradox is also one the most tragic character moments I've ever experienced, and her hardest hitting inner thoughts are hidden away in her diary, which I suspect most players don't even find.
I am currently playing Control. I’m have 2 profiles that use for some games. One is to do a complete play through. The other is “start over” at certain points because I like to know some game mechanics inside and out: “this works for this, but not for that”- kind of thing…I gotta say, I am a real fan of Remedy and what they do. Alan Wake is pure gold. I also started with AW2, but I want to get through Control first. I love the random files I find mentioning Alan. I flipped out when I saw all the Wake stuff they added to the Control story.
I played control a while back and I loved it... I just played the ultimate versions with the Foundation DLC because Id been playing AW2 and holy f**K I love the scene where you chase the camera.. Its f**king mental, comes from no where and left me feeling a bit upset when it finished.. Wanted more.. They are amazing. Long Live Remedy! They are really legends.. Ashtray Maze, Herald of Darkness... *chefs kiss*
The theme of the live action elements seems to be scenes that take place in pocked dimensions between the world of the games, and our own reality, like the White/Black Lodges in Twin Peaks. Zane, Door, Alan and Alice's live action realms seem to have their own visual styles, each a pocket dimension inside the dark place.
Remedy games are exceptional and they ae quickly becoming my favorite developer. You put it best; their games are weird in the best way possible. All of their games are unique and built with love and care though. My favorite moment is still the Astray Maze in Control; but we'll see how Alan Wake 2 shakes out as the studio escape is a close second.
My first experience with Remedy wasn't even with a game, listening to Herald of Darkness made me want to look for more about the band and took me into this incredible rabbithole. I've never experienced anything like the games they make.
Im blown away by how high quality alan wake was and how fun control was, it was more fun cuz lot more action and alen wake feels more engaging story and interesting environments and events that happen in a slower type gameplay. Definitely a great game developer
I was looking forward to see what the music part of Alan Wake 2 was going to be. OMG. Was not disappointed. I won't spoil it, but it blew my mind. Completely didn't see it happening like that.
They are the kings of physics and special effects, you'll know you're playing a remedy game when you see a outline down a hallway, like projection type shit 😭 you see it alot in control
Great video my friend,Remedy stands alone atop its own mountain. One of my first games i ever played was Max Payne on the Game-boy Color. Man its been a while since then. Favorite game would be Control,Alan Wake 1 then Alan Wake 2. Thought not much separates them in my ranking. Favorite moment would be everything 😀
Thank you! That's a great ranking, although I did enjoy Alan Wake 1 for it's atmosphere, Control and Alan Wake 2 are personally a few tiers higher for me. And wow, Max Payne on the GB color sounds, interesting to say the least haha. How did it play?
For what it's worth, Max Payne for the Game Boy Advance is incredibly well made considering the limitations of the platform. I played it a few of years ago on an emulator and was thoroughly impressed by how well it manages to recreate the original game from an isometric perspective. It's solid.
Remedy is my favorite game studio and one of the two I'm willing to preorder from (Rockstar is the other). I know I'm getting a quality and unique gaming experience when I put on a Remedy game. And Alan Wake 2 may be my favorite game of all time. I've played most Remedy games and was still completely surprised by the build, mechanics, and story of Alan Wake 2. And We Sing has to be one of the best gaming moments I've ever experienced. I'm already replaying the game and noticing little details all around me that add even more to the story than when I hurried to get through the plot the first time. Thanks for covering Remedy, and I just hope they keep being themselves. Last thing I want is another BioWare/EA type takeover.
The small details in the game make replaying it a blast! And I think they'll keep being themselves, 2 decades of making completely unique games, and they don't seem like stopping. Also, I'm assuming you'll be instantly pre-ordering the Max Payne remakes (since they're published by Rockstar and Remedy making them)
nah, fs lost its soul after bloodborne and became a money making machine who never takes its step forward, ds3 is ds1.5, eldenring is ds3.5, sekiro is ds the tenchu version, even ac6 feels like sekiro1.5, this is just another ubisoft on the road
Max Payne was such an awesome experience back when it first came out. One of my favorite games of that era, without question! :) I'm glad I played it. Remedy Games is great. It really is.
Brilliant video dude.. I enjoyed it.. You deserve much more love from the gaming community. Loving this game so far.. I don't want it to end. Already 10 hours in. Liked and subscribed.
Alan Wake 2 was mindblowing! After Dead SPace remake, this is another highlight for this year! now iam on control to get all the steam achivements. after that quantum break and then alan wake! love remedy! genius lake!
It was pretty easy to predict music would play when the manuscripts bang on about a rock concert and then you walk into a concert venue in Alan Wake 1. Left 4 Dead did the same thing 3 years earlier. Now Alan Wake 2 and Control had theirs come up out of nowhere. There was little to no warning what the player was getting into when starting the mission in Alan Wake 2 or getting the music player from Auti. Alan Wake 2 went well beyond with its musical number because there wasn’t just one…
Yeah, they are unique. It also doesn't hurt that they're Finnish (like I am), I love how they let that show in their games. Control took a while to lure me in, but when it hit... Damn, quickly became one of my all-time favorite games. Now I'm gathering myself to be able to play Alan Wake 2... I want to play it so badly, but I absolutely hate horror games.
I know the feeling. I’m playing Alan Wake 2 right now, and I have a love/hate relationship with horror games. I find that playing them on easy mode (story mode in AW2) makes the experience better for me.
Remedy at least for me is in same bag as Kojima, making games in way they want no matter what majority of people think and in 9/10 scenarios it end up being 20/10 game.
I watched the game awards for the first time this year just to see if Alan Wake 2 won the awards it deserved. I think it deserved soundtrack as well but I wasn't too unhappy with the outcome. Plus the Old Gods of Asgard performance! (Control is also one of my all time favorite games)
There are too many different genre high quality titles in 2023 for anyone to say just one is best. Alan Wake 2 is definitely in that discussion without question. Remedy = talent.
Ive always been a remedy fan before even relaizing all my favorite gamers were made by the same studio. The unique weirdness of their games amways spoke to me and ive always adored FMV games so tbe live action secgments are awesome. It wasnt untile quantum break i realized, oh wow they made max payne? And alwan wake?!?! Truly a gem of a studio.
I love Remedy and Naughty Dog, always being original. Playing by their own book and set of rules. You won’t be able to find other games that feel like theirs. Only original IP, not being bogged down by someone else’s ideas. (the crossfire x campaign doesn’t count bc it’s gone forever probably)
One of the best video games moment is when the developers.use music in games in sync, like far cry and bonfire. I felt like tony Montana on a cocke mountain😂😂😂
If you like the musicals in Remedy Games, take a listen to the band behind Old Gods of Asgard: Poets of the Fall. I'm a big fan of both Remedy and Poets of the Fall, and they are a match made in heaven.
I've always been a massive Remedy fan, I've grown up playing around with editors dreaming to work in a studio, and Remedy has always been at the top of my dream list. I agree with most of the things you've described. I'm just finally playing Control and got into it (attempted twice before, playing only one session each time) and I'm really digging it. The art direction is masterful, and the same I can tell about what I've seen in AW2. But I think you are possibly giving too much credit to the live action choice: the pulp novel was a solution to a money and technical problem in Max Payne, and yes has become a stylistic trademark down the line... but it's still cheaper and quicker than making everything in-engine today I believe, when you look at all the problems. Like in AW1 the facial expressions were still a disgrace, in Control they're not up to par to other concurrent games, and you have to work so much on the models and scenes that end up on these small vignettes... how much easier it is to have a video you can compress loads. My main gripe up to this point, has been Sam's self-referentiality in the latter games, both being in it, referencing previous work, lifting and name dropping... some people finds it cute and funny I guess, personally I find you cheapen the final product when you do stuff like opening the game citing Stephen King. And they leaned hard on this aspect in AW2, which was definitely one of my most awaited games ever* but I'm not even sure I will get it. I'm sorry but looking not just at the mainstream reviews and listening to my trusted game dev friends that already played it... Remedy pulled a bait and switch on this one, just if we talk about gameplay. Then we add the childish social commentary that poisons the game (thanks to the woke external consultants they hired). I really don't want to incentivise them to think that's ok with fans. *for context I basically bought the X360 for AW1, preordered the collector's edition before having the console even, then replayed the game from the beginning for each DLC release.
Only a few has been experiencing Remedy and enjoying it from the start. People have finally paid attention because of Alan Wake 2, but the true heroes are those who has been there from the beginning .. who can see the connected dots and who actually went back to play AW and Control just before AW2 drops because we all know they will twist every story on us! I loved seeing all those connections but especially the lovely presence of Tim Breaker or Time Breaker :D. I am still waiting for them to present areas like the Radio station from AW or the Mountain Air Motel that came in Bright Fall mini series. I have MANY questions .. and why the old house is in darkness. I wonder what is going on with Jesse. I specifically wonder about the movie we saw "Nightless Night" Where Tom was playing Alan Wake. What if it was always Tom and Alan is just a persona? What if there is only one person with different names? I have many questions. I would go back and watch that movie. Also, at one point, we see Alan standing on top of Casey's body killing him yet we didn't see that happening. We see that happening and Saga actually approaching the scene. I want to know what is that about. The beauty of Remedy and Sam Lake writing is that he is 10 years ahead .. planning his world, perfecting those connections! I wish they will release a book with all these connections .. like concept writing .. and all the ideas they had [and those they scratched] :)
Those are some great questions, and analysis! It shows just how great their games are, as their stories lead to lots of interpretations. But Tim / Time Breaker, that's a great similarity!
You're right, Remedy games are weird af lol But it is in the best way possible. I can never recommend them to people because they are so weird (Max Payne is the most grounded but the supernatural elements are still there in short bursts and looming in undertones of the plot). I love how unique their approach to storytelling in games is. Sam Lake's writing in particular is one of my all time favs. He subverts in the best way possible and it's never for a cheap reaction or for the sake of it. Even if you predict something in his writing it's never the entirety of the story, you're always only half right and I think he's a genius for that (my personal experience with AW2). I hope they never change and if they do it's only for the better and keep doing games how they do. I remember being disappointed learning Epic Games published/paid for AW2 but so happy that those circumstances did not influence how they made it so I don't think they will ever sell out and will always prioritize quality/art/storytelling over all else. Another thing I can appropriate is they chose a vision and stuck to it. Alan Wake 2 was years in the making, not just development time but it is a testament to the timeline of their games. Each game added a critical part in AW2's gameplay and storytelling. They slowly mastered crafting aspects of each game and AW2 is the result. I'm so excited for the Max Payne remakes!
Yes! I think Sam Lake has got to be up there amongst the greatest minds in gaming, and that's just of how well he manages to create and tell stories. I too was a bit sceptic at first when I saw that Epic was publishing, but from what Remedy has been saying (and how good Alan Wake 2 was), it seems like they work well together! Also, super excited for the Max Payne remakes! They're gonna be crazy good!
As far as gameplay goes, ironically, Max Payne 1 and 2 still stand as Remedy's best effort to date. The original Max Payne has marvelous level design too. I really hope that for the remake of Max Payne, Sam Lake won't be taking it into a more interactive-fiction direction.
As Western game development is in a downfall, European game devs coming in waaay too hard this year. Just from the top of my head, phantom liberty, Alan wake 2, the finals.
I haven't played Alan Wake 2 yet. But out of all the other Remedy games I played, I think Control is their best. I went in knowing nothing about the game and wasn't spoiled by reviews. The way the game progresses and keeps getting more bizarre throughout is awesome. My least favorite was Quantum Break. It wasn't bad, but its episodic structure is flawed and ruins the continuity.
yes, I would argue Sam Lake and the entire Remedy company is the best in the industry, MAYBE Hideo kojima compares, but i think thats industry hype more than actual video game amazingness.
I never knew remedy existed, i always thought that only rockstar worked on max payne . However i found out later after i got for free control from epic games . Dam , the very first moment it captured me . At the time ( still do if i have enough time ) i was learning finnish and it blew my mind when ahti started speaking and swearing . Control blew my mind from how i interacted in the environment with my powers to how pretty good are the physics . I fucking loved when i saw Dr casper dancing and showing jesse. I cant wait to llay alan wake 2 and watch the new mussical for alan . I am also happy that ahti is in the same universe as control, i love him for helping us . Remedy is the most underrated company. They make masterpieces like rockstar but they dont charge you or force you to buy shark cards or anything. Jut play their game and experience, thats what video games are . My only complaints is the robotic conversations between characters. That skyrim and fallout 3 feel , kinda dont like it and feels too robotic . I noticed it a lot on control and the most pop complaint is that there is no physical release on alan wake 2 , which i really wanted to instead of downloading it
Max Payne 2's sales underperformed and they used their gains from the first one to make an even bigger game than before Alan Wake was in dev hell for 5 years, flopped due to releasing the same day as red dead redemption Control was their first financial success since Max Payne 1 Alan Wake 2 still hasn't earned back its budget, even if they got the money from epic Their games are great and memorable, but i'm curious on how they survived all these years of financial losses, did they invest on something else?
Not to hate but Remedy doesn't really do anything out of the ordinary outside of blending FMV into their games with their signature meta storytelling. Aside from that their games are pretty straightforward 3rd person action games. I had fun with Control but after watching AW2 gameplay I'll wait for a deep sale as I'm just not into awkwardly walking around pressing X on highlighted objects to get the story moving.

Goddamnit. Thats what I really want from a game. An interesting mindfucking story.
Their creativity really is unrivaled. I can't think of many games that push creativity this far in their games, and keep going!
Max Payne 1 and 2 are still beyond Legendary.
Surreal film noir at its best. No other video game developer does it like Remedy
And damn, they made me start leraning finnish language 😂
it's not a game , it's an art of piece
I just want more remedy games ❤
remedy games are unique because they came from Sam Lake’s unconscious not from the dictate of corporate people that want a game that could appeal to mass gamer.
Amazing video, my friend!! Remedy is truly one of its kind and I'm SO happy Alan Wake 2 has got more people to pay attention to their others games. Cant wait for their next masterpiece!
Thank you so much! Same, I'm super happy that Remedy is getting the spotlight they deserve!
Was saying that for more then a decade, now I'm happy more people actually noticed how great Remedy and Sam are
Their creativity and concepts are absolutely amazing.
IF youve played Alan Wake 2 and not uantum Break, i urge you to play is because there are HEAVY tie-ins between the two games that can help expand your understanding of who Warlin Door [Martin Hatch] is and Tim Breaker [Jack Joyce/ Time Breaker] and how shapes, shifting and why he dreams of him
Oh that sounds super cool, I'll definitely do that once I get a decent laptop to run it on! Thanks!
Indeed, perkele
Awesome video mate, love all of the Remedy games. Can't wait for the Max Payne remakes
Thank you! And same, super excited to see the Max Payne games, even though they will surely be many years away from now!
They keep getting better with each new release, and keep getting more creative!
Järveks luulin merta kerran indeed
playing a remedy game is like being trapped in a nitemare that you are trying to make your way out of.
I think, that's a good thing, right? haha
Eagerly waiting for max payne remake
My first experience with Remedy wasn't even with a game, listening to Herald of Darkness made me want to look for more about the band and took me into this incredible rabbithole. I've never experienced anything like the games they make.
Im blown away by how high quality alan wake was and how fun control was, it was more fun cuz lot more action and alen wake feels more engaging story and interesting environments and events that happen in a slower type gameplay. Definitely a great game developer
They are the triple A devs with indie games mindset. All of their games are unique than the previous and insanely fun.
There's no Max Payne on Color. There's one on GBA, but that's a separate game made by Mobius.
For what it's worth, Max Payne for the Game Boy Advance is incredibly well made considering the limitations of the platform. I played it a few of years ago on an emulator and was thoroughly impressed by how well it manages to recreate the original game from an isometric perspective. It's solid.
Honestly herald of darkness is a complete banger
Dark Ocean Summoning rocks as well!
Well yes I think it’s true and fair to say…
Also, I'm assuming you'll be instantly pre-ordering the Max Payne remakes (since they're published by Rockstar and Remedy making them)
They just know how to FINISH a game properly. Compared to say POLISH who make great games but often fail to POLISH it at first.
FromSoftware and Remedy are my gods. So much unique work in art direction and worldbuilding
nah, fs lost its soul after bloodborne and became a money making machine who never takes its step forward, ds3 is ds1.5, eldenring is ds3.5, sekiro is ds the tenchu version, even ac6 feels like sekiro1.5, this is just another ubisoft on the road
Thank you, it means a lot! And yes, the game is so good, and only gets better!
The 2nd musical number in Alan Wake 2 caught me completely off guard!
Even if Alan Wake 2 is quite scary, it's take on horror is so unique that I don't think it's like any other horror game out there!
I know the feeling. I’m playing Alan Wake 2 right now, and I have a love/hate relationship with horror games. I find that playing them on easy mode (story mode in AW2) makes the experience better for me.
I can't wait for control 2
Trying our best here to make it worth waiting for 😉
Sonic music caught me off guard at the end lol
I love using that song as an outro, although it may be a bit jarring with some of the videos topics I've covered haha
Super glad Alan Wake 2 got so much praise! It only won 3 rewards, but they were arguably 3 of the most important ones!
There are too many different genre high quality titles in 2023 for anyone to say just one is best. Alan Wake 2 is definitely in that discussion without question. Remedy = talent.
Wuantum Break. I know that game is in Microsoft jail, but gosh darn it do I love that game.
Despite all the debacles, the past few years have brought us some of the best games ever made, there is absolutely no reason to complain.
100%, I feel like since 2020, there have just been so many great gamess
I loved Alan wake 2
Remedy, FromSoftware, Rockstar, CapCom, and Nintendo GOATS
100% facts!
Legendary developers!
Alan wake 2 is amazing my favorite game this year along the resident evil 4 remake
One of the best video games moment is when the developers.use music in games in sync, like far cry and bonfire. I felt like tony Montana on a cocke mountain😂😂😂
there are 2 game developers that I can sleep well knowing that they're going to make a masterpiece game - it's From Software and Remedy Entertainment
They don't miss!
If alan wake 2 don’t get goty imma freak out
If you like the musicals in Remedy Games, take a listen to the band behind Old Gods of Asgard: Poets of the Fall. I'm a big fan of both Remedy and Poets of the Fall, and they are a match made in heaven.
I have listened to a few Poets songs in the past, like Carnival of Rust, but I think I have to take a deeper dive into their discography!
I want these guys to make John Wick gane.
Great video essay, perkele
Soon everybody and I mean EVERYBODY will know who Remedy is, once Max Payne remake is released to the public.
Can't wait for the remakes! With the Rockstar budget, it's going to be crazy good!
The remedy to stagnation is creativity.
"although ive not played Quantum Break"
Play it.
Will do! Been getting a lot of recommendations to play it lately!
As far as gameplay goes, ironically, Max Payne 1 and 2 still stand as Remedy's best effort to date. The original Max Payne has marvelous level design too. I really hope that for the remake of Max Payne, Sam Lake won't be taking it into a more interactive-fiction direction.
They have Finnish Sisu! Thank you Remedy, and go play Alan wake 2. It's awesome😊
thank god
Alan Wake II is the closest we'll get to Silent Hills, don't believe me? Go check Kojima's retweets
✨️e x a c t l y✨️
Quantium break was janky but so cool and impressive
I love all Remedy Games. But Kojima does games like Remedy. Death Stranding is a master piece.
I've yet to play Death Stranding. I think I've got to play Death Stranding before DS2 drops soon haha
great video bro
Thank you! Much appreciated!
As Western game development is in a downfall, European game devs coming in waaay too hard this year. Just from the top of my head, phantom liberty, Alan wake 2, the finals.
Phantom Liberty and Cyberpunk 2.0 was crazy good!
They are really well done, yet for whatever reason I never could enjoy the actual gameplay.
Oh man, which games have you tried from them?
@@stormtalksgames most recently Control but I tried them all.
yes, I would argue Sam Lake and the entire Remedy company is the best in the industry, MAYBE Hideo kojima compares, but i think thats industry hype more than actual video game amazingness.
I noticed it a lot on control and the most pop complaint is that there is no physical release on alan wake 2 , which i really wanted to instead of downloading it
And no one should tbh
Max Payne 2's sales underperformed and they used their gains from the first one to make an even bigger game than before
Alan Wake was in dev hell for 5 years, flopped due to releasing the same day as red dead redemption
Control was their first financial success since Max Payne 1
Alan Wake 2 still hasn't earned back its budget, even if they got the money from epic
Their games are great and memorable, but i'm curious on how they survived all these years of financial losses, did they invest on something else?
The only 2 games i don't care for was QB and AW1. Haven't played AW2 yet.
Highly recommend AW2! It's phenomenal!
NIXXES does as good a job.
Nice working man. Wanna colab???
Sure, depends on what idea you got!

Its their PC demands that they outclassed everybody but theyre Games are Good sadly i cannot the newest on Pc
they literally make the best games and people r just too dumb to understand
