Unfortunately, the people still throw garbage everywhere and sell food with lack of hygiene and safety.
Love your new videos that are short and sweet, concentrating on one dish at a time. Would like to see some videos on the not so regular breakfast dishes, steering away from bun bo hue, hue tieu and the (admittedly delicious) bahn mi.
Great video Luke, always love a great banh mi in the morning or for lunch with Vietnamese coffee. 😁 Marrickville & Cabramatta is my go to every time when❤ im back in Sydney. I can't wait till I go to Vietnam again. Next stop 2026 Nha Trang Vin Pearl & hopefully all the districts in Saigon ❤😂🇦🇺🇻🇳🎣🤤🍻
Vietnam is AMAZING !!! monies can go a long way if you're from a western world and want to retire/settle here - half and half living in Vietnam is at best ( of course anywhere living moderation ) . My brother is retired from The State and he's Bi-Continent 6 months out and back and forth
would love to know the best place in the north for the banh mi i love them so much we will be in the north in october this year and im already drooling
I know that Luke Nguyen can speak Vietnamese but I first learned of him from English-speaking cooking shows. So now, I'm still startled when he speaks like how I would. 😅 Like how he asked: - 1 ổ bao nhiêu vậy anh? (how much is one loaf?) and when the seller said 20k, he immediately said - Cho em ổ 40 nha (please make it 40k). I'm like ... that's what I'd always say when I buy bánh mì 🤣
Hey Luke Mate I wanted to let you know that your very first Viet series inspired me to travel there I’m going back in august for the fifth time Thanks mate Also can u give me a job working with you in 1 of your Viet restaurants I can cook ok But I learn better than most lol Rob
You refer to him as uncle then you call him older brother and then you refer to yourself as em... Are you even sure he's older than you? Should sort that out before you're getting in his face like that. Watching this was a bit sad for me because its just seem overall rude
I love how Luke is one of the best at cooking and has his own restaurant, yet still appreciates/enjoy the simple food in VN like this Banh Mi
the fact that Luke can speak the language makes a difference from many many foreign food reviewers in Vietnam. It is a must if you are in the country!
The problem with Luke is that videos are interesting but his restaurants are lousy, taste like Macca!😂
Your excitement for food is contagious
Just discovered your channel. Thank you, Anh Luke, for sharing Vietnam culture. I have not been back for almost 20 years now.
Vietnam is amazing country. Un like anywhere in the world

They should wearing gloves for making and serving food if it’s not a restaurant. If you live there long enough you will get sick good luck brotha
