    I really needed to hear this ❤️ just yesterday I felt that I had no purpose, no reason to be alive, and that nobody cared. I'm currently struggling with a lot of depression and I've gotten messages like "it's all part of your testimony" or it's "so your faith can grow" and all it did was irritate me. But this gave me more perspective so thank you.

    Yes! It’s never settled well with my spirit when people say “everything happens for a reason.” Not everything is meant to happen that does, but God CAN and WILL see you through that; He’ll use it as a testimony to touch those who have experienced similar experiences and whatever purpose he sees fit. He’s doing it for me as we speak! Praise God. Love that headband btw 🥰

    Hey Kytia. Thank you so much for this amazing video. I have seen a new perspective to life now. It makes total sense. I am grateful to God for using you as his vessel. I am thankful for your obedience. People are just not aware of the third thing you mentioned. Which is the world is just sinful and the devil is also out here doing his work. This is just a big awakening for me. It gives me a better understanding of how the world is. I am just really grateful to God for using you to spread the gospel. I pray that you continue to be blessed by the Lord. And to walk in his will with Grace. Thank you so much. All Glory belongs to God.

    Thank you, this has always been something I struggled with. After abuse in my childhood I wondered why God didnt stop it, why He didnt take me out. People would say "oh it happened for a reason" and "God allowed it for a reason" and as I came to know God for the loving God He is that line of thinking REALLY startee to bother me. I can't believe a loving father would orchestrate that on purpose, but I can believe that He would heal my broken pieces and turn it around for my good and to minister to those He puts in my path. I can believe that He would take my broken pieces and create a masterpiece, heal me and make me new. I thank God that He's already doing that in my life.

    The last reason really hit the mark! God says that He grieves over the hurt that we’ve experienced (or are currently experiencing) of course He saw/sees it, but He doesn’t desire for us to experience traumatizing events! He has PLANS (a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something) for us of good, life-giving things. Thanks for touching on this topic. 💕✨

But now we are in separation, it is hurtful at first but while putting the pieces all together I understand that these all happens for a reason. GOD told me to be patient. I know that GOD’s timing is always perfect. GOD is greater than everything. Hope to meet you in Hawaii someday. 😊 Glad that GOD guided me to my soul’s families.

    I just wanted to add that Sometimes God let things happen to us. Job lost everything. Joseph went to prison for a crime he didn’t comit.The people of israel spent 40 years in captivity in Egypt. It is not because God couldn’t do anything about it. When you read all these Bible stories, God always has a purpose and it is all for his glory. He sometimes wants to test our faith (Job), teach and transform us (Joseph) or even to show his almighty power ( the people of israel).

    • @KytiaLamour
      @KytiaLamour  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      laeticia arma Etienne Thank you for sharing that!! Job is the only example I can think of (besides Jesus) where God purposely removed His protection and allowed evil into someone’s life to prove their faith and obedience. In the other historical cases, you can also think of it this way: God knows everything all the time.
      There are no surprises to Him, but He can use any situation to lead to His glory. Like the example I mentioned of someone being raped, they may go on to create an amazing organization that helps other victims, and people might say “It was God’s plan.”
      Even the story of Moses, I can’t imagine so many babies being murdered just so that he could be put in a basket at three months old and found by a princess in order to end up in a position of power and have familiarity with royalty. God knew this would happen and appointed him to do great things.
      We often forget that Moses initially refused his calling and God had plans to kill him for that before someone interceded. Personally I believe that the Bible repeats a message of faith and obedience despite the evil of this world. Can you imagine the amount of people who God called to do great works, but instead they said “Nope”?
      We don’t really hear about them, so it can paint a picture that everyone that God called to do great works had their lives planned out meticulously (for good or bad), and every event leading up to those great works was God ordained. I say all of this because many people have taken on traumatic events as a part of their destiny and identity and give all credit for good and bad things to God. I think there needs to be a defining line or else life turns out to be very very arbitrary and out of our control completely.
      I hope that makes sense and I’m glad you shared your perspective. I’m commenting based on my current understanding and I’m still learning, so I’m in no way an expert. This is a really great topic of discussion. God bless you. ☀️

      @datingdiary2605 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kytia L'amour Yes i understand everything you said and I agree. God knows everything and everything that happens to us good or bad must shine his glory. It is all about faith and obedience. Sorry about your loss. I do agree, God heals. And I love the way that you put it, God isn't evil. We are going to have trials and even in them, God can and will work good from these situations. I just lost my boyfriend. We were planning to marry in August and I temporarily lost hope. I don't know if I will ever marry but I have reached a point of acceptance. God has given me peace and I've even began to work towards a better future but with Gods love and trust. Hoping for his best but without crazy, unbearable expectations. I have joy and freedom. Thanks for this. Nandi, 26

    Your story really inspires me
    I had a miscarriage this past Christmas Eve
    And I asked God to explain himself
    And he lead me to song which had Room 8:31
    I went on to read the entire Room 8
    And v. 16-18 really gave me the perspective I needed
    the revelation I received was we are co-heirs with Christ and as Christ suffered we share in his suffering it is in our inheritance to share in in God's glory to share in with suffering
    It is hard and uncomfortable but I have hope from Rom 8:18
    Despite the fallen state of the world my present suffering can not compare to the glory to be revealed to me

      you should know , just a year ago if some one said to me that they were saving themselves for marriage , i would have thought them foolish , stupid even , now i have so much respect and admiration for you and your husband , words dont really cut it , i envy your strenght and belief , amazing , i came to god , not by trying to disprove him , just seeking the truth of things , aliens , ufo's what started ww1 , ww2 , anything different , out of the norm , now i sort of understand why i loved those old movies about christ , why this happened , why that happened , my childhood was anything but normal , waking up miles from home in my underware all the time ,with no recollection of how i got there , would challenge anyones mind , always with clean feet . and what i experienced at age 5 ,sent me around the twist , but now i know what i was looking at , what i saw was amazing ,for now i have words that can describe it , i understand what i was shown , sorry , meant to just say a few words , turns into a paragraph , ending now , bless you .

    *"anddd, I'm not down with that" haha LOVE IT Kytia!! so true, sometimes we just have the WRONG message cos we're listening to our family, or the world etc instead of God! Your videos have been incredibly soothing in a really rough time in my life right now, you speak so much wisdom and truth! Interesting, I would be down for a long-distance relationship, and it's so funny you pined for LA when HI is so much better haha! But, that's how I feel coming from San Diego to Portland (my home). My whole fam says "why do you like SD, it's dry and dusty and gross look how beautiful our home is here" but I miss SD so much. Anyway, long rant over, love your channel and please keep making these videos!!* :D God bless you!!!

    Thank you for this video. There are so many myths that need to be debunked and this is a big one. I started laughing when you were mimicking Christians/people in general who say that typical "Everything happens for a reason," because it is so true. The real reason is that we live in a sin-filled world like you said but we have God to bring us through. Thank you again, this has brought me so much courage.

    I recently found your channel and I must say, I'm hooked. Listening to this video made me think about some things. I hear what you're saying about you not believing in the fact that everything happens for a reason. If something bad happens, and someone says that, I don't believe they're saying it's a good thing, thus you'll learn from it. A bad situation is bad, regardless. However, God's Word says that our thoughts and ways are not like God's and in Romans, it mentions that God works out everything for our good for those who love Him. So, in the case of a miscarriage or someone being fired, God can and does work it out for our good. Just because we don't understand WHY it happened, doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose. There are people who have been through many misfortunes in life and they use that as a testimony. That testimony can lead many people to Christ because of how that person came through it. God uses it for our growth, for the benefit of others and building their faith, and also for His glory. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I don't know if you were bitter or if you blamed God initially, but you mentioned that you were public about it so that it would've helped people. God knew that that would've happened before you were even born. Did God want it to happen? No. But He used that situation and you to help others go through that knowing that God is with them. I don't know, but it's just my view on things. Just my humble opinion. I don't usually post comments, especially long ones like this, but I felt led just now. So the whole view of everything happening for a reason, I just think everything has it's purpose when God's involved. Nothing catches Him by surprise. He just uses the evil things that happen for our good and for His glory. Love your videos and your advice and you are a beautiful woman of God. Be blessed! 😊

    • @KytiaLamour
      @KytiaLamour  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Krystal V M Thank you for joining the conversation. I believe we are saying similar things. Yes, God can use anything for His glory and a testimony of His healing power if we ALLOW Him to, but it doesn’t mean that it was His will or that it NEEDED to happen. As you said, He knows all of our days before we are born, but that doesn’t mean He causes our pain by inviting bad things into our life on purpose. Thank you for sharing your viewpoint. God bless you!

    • @daughteroftheking4301
      @daughteroftheking4301 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kytia L'amour Right. I guess it's just how it's phrased. He doesn't causes these things, but He allows it. But u get what you're saying. Thanks for your response.

    • @natalihernandez3732
      @natalihernandez3732 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. The bible says to take the good from God, as well as the unpleasant obstacles. And to thank him for our hardships. Take the story of Job, or God's plan of Jesus' crucifixion. Or how much the bible stresses the virtue of suffering for God. It can't always be rainbows and butterflies, we can't cherry pick the easy/palatable parts of God and ignore the rest. Even if something feels sad or unpleasant in the moment, doesn't mean that it's not part of God's ultimate plan or doesn't serve a higher purpose. The bible even says God will take a curse and turn it into a blessing. So even if Satan attacks you, God can allow it to happen because he wisely knows something positive will result from it later on. God has ultimate control, nothing happens unless he allows it to, including the bad. He is omnipotent.

    Amazing your story similar to mine I was in a consecrated place with the lord and he tells me to go to Israel from the UK. Alone I thought I was going to have a personal encounter with Jesus. No I met my husband , it totally took me by surprise because it was the last thing I thought would happen on that trip.

    I absolutely love your story on how you and your husband meet. You are so positive to watch. I was felling down and out about being by myself for 8 years. I know people say everything happens for a reason, but 8 years staying focused on, being cylebent for over 2years. This is taking tooooooooo long. Sometime I fell like this is not of God, especially being the age I am. What is going on? God please help. My heart is open for others opinion. Thank you.🍎🍎🍎🍎

      Shannon Cunningham Thank you for the compliments! 💗 When we look at the timeline of our waiting period, it’s easy to get frustrated and miss out on enjoying your current blessings. I was 23 when I got married, but my husband was 30 and never had a relationship before. Instead of thinking about how long he’d been single, he worked on becoming the right spouse for the type of wife he wanted. If we’re willing to put in the work and wait intentionally, it will be so worth it. Everyone’s love story in unique.

    The timing of this video is interesting, I was just having a conversation with a friend about prophesy and how ultimately it will or wont happen. Im not sure how to always have conversation when it comes to things such as that because sometimes it almost seems as though the person is being pigeon holed into what a man thinks rather than what God wants. I will keep praying that I get closer to the answer. Mahalo for you wisdom..Sending Love from Maui

    • @KytiaLamour
      @KytiaLamour  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      chinaG I understand your point, if a prophesy is from God, it will happen. That’s why it’s important to have discernment so that you know if someone is sent to you by the Lord to give you a message. Also, prophesy usually confirms something God has already been telling you, so you shouldn’t feel trapped or pigeon-holed to what comes out of someone’s mouth. There are many false prophets out there.

    There’s this girl in 11th grade who I feel comfortable, peaceful, & calm around. We’ve only said a couple words to each other every other day. Then one day in art class, last week. She approached my table & started a conversation with me. Which I’m thankful cause I’m an introvert who only speaks when spoken to…After hearing what her name was during class. Which is Sarah. I’ve been seeing her name & hearing it for these past couple of days since Thursday.
    First incident: I was at the dentist & I heard in the next dentist room door. The patient talking about Abraham & Sarah to the dentist. Then the second time was in a YT video of a Godly couple & the guy who’s a pastor. Mentions Abraham & Sarah again. Then my mom has a friend name Sarah. & also I clicked on a video about a Godly wife. & the preacher who was speaking is also named Sarah. Like, how many times am I gonna hear her name? Coincidence? Idk

    I have honestly almost always felt this way about things that happen to us and are painful. However I have a question, how does God allow these things to happen? Can he not prevent them or something? I mean I understand that its a sinful world but does he not have a way of keeping all that pain away from us?
    I really love your videos, I discovered this today and I've been chowing through them like nobody's business. I thank you sooo much for heeding God's voice. Mpho Mosepele Hi there!! Unfortunately, Adam and Eve invited sin into this world and brought curses because of their disobedience. God wanted us to follow His rules and love Him out of choice. I’m comforted that He gives each and every one of us a choice to accept Him before our life ends, but yes I’d rather live in a world free from sin. If God were to intervene against every form of sin, He would go against His word to Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis.

      Cant God keep the pain away from us? Jesus endured so much pain on our behalf when He was on earth, and as followers of Christ a servant is not greater than his Master! "You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!
      Matthew 10:18‭, ‬24‭-‬25 NKJV

      My dear, trust me, I appreciate the work that Christ did on the cross. I try to not frustrate it every single day. But that does not mean I cannot yearn for good and for good things only to happen to mankind. True, a servant cannot be above his master. But he died so that I live, he suffered so that my suffering is obsolete, he was beaten so that I can be healed. To live expecting bad, and hoping for awful things to happen to us would be sinning against his love and his selfless sacrifice for us. Stay Blessed.❤️❤️

    • @shalove7367
      @shalove7367 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mpho Mosepele "He died so that we might live." Yes and we do live with Him for eternity! Praise God!
      "He suffered so that my suffering is obsolete," Im not sure if this is even biblical. Jesus suffered yes, but His suffering brings us closer to God. Our suffering is obsolete in heaven only. Rev 21:4 says 'He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'
      " He was beaten so that I can be healed," Yes by His stripes we are spiritually healed! Healed from living in sin, to livinging righteously!
      "But that does not mean that I cannot yearn for good and for good things only to happen to mankind," I want good things to happen to mankind as well, so that's why Jesus instucts us to share the Gospel.
      "and hoping for awful things to happen to us would be sinning against his love and his selfless sacrifice for us,"
      I dont hope for awful things to happen either, but I know that God causes ALL things to work out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes for them. Pain and Everything!Rom 8:28.
      Christians ought to know that weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning! Ps 30:5.
      As Christians, we should not be surprised by pain and sufferings because the bible tells us not to be:
      1pet 4:12-19, "Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But Rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. ..."
      Ps 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
      2 Cor 4:8, "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies."
      Rom 5:3-5, "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
      1 Pet 5:10 "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you."
      John 16:33, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
      Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, But praise God Jesus is with us, and holding our hand through it all!
      God bless.❤

    I love your channel! I have kind of a two part question. I understand the root of evil comes from the enemy, but I guess I don't understand that even though we live in a sin-filled world why does God allow for certain things to happen if he has the power to stop it?

    • @KytiaLamour
      @KytiaLamour  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ariel Edwards I think that’s a common and valid question. If God were to stop every bad thing from happening, He would be going against His promise to provide free will. Because of free will, Adam and Eve were capable of bringing a curse upon all living things as well as the Earth we live in because they decided to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The root of it (and a question I’ve had for my entire Christian life is) was it really worth it to risk it all in order for humans to have a choice? To God it was, and that’s something I think our minds cannot fathom this side of heaven. This is simply my opinion and biblical understanding though.

      wrytmiezycia That’s interesting. I think you’re not the only one who has experienced something like that. I remember my mom always telling me to pay attention to the speed when I was a new driver. It took me getting a $150 speeding ticket to finally listen. Who knows, that may have saved a life. It doesn’t mean it was God doing it because that’s a consequence of being reckless, but I know He helped me to learn from it afterwards.

    Everything does happen for a reason. When we disobey God, we open the door to danger. And I feel the reason God allows us to make choices, is so that he can show off his glory by being chosen, and showing off his glory by making evil humans good.

    My problem is that I don’t know if I am obeying or not. I don’t always hear God’s voice. Also, my husband is not a Christian so that puts me between a rock and a hard spot. I have always believed in God but didn’t really start living a Christian life until after I was married. So maybe I married my husband in disobedience but sometimes I think I married him to help bring him to Christ. Anyway my point is that I don’t know what God wants...for instance: I love the ocean. I miss it but I live in Nebraska. I don’t know that it is Gods will for me to move closer to the ocean.

    Hi Kytia! This video is beautiful and thank you for it.
    First of all I would like to say that you are a very brave woman and daughter of our Father.
    I wanted to share something with you..I don't know if I am supposed to do this, don't take my or anyone's word for it..God will tell you. Recently, I watched a video a about a woman that lost her son many years ago. Her son was sick he died actually but he came back after 40 min or something and he told her that he met Jesus..there are also other stories about children that had this happen to them. This kid recovered after five days but he died unfortunately after a few years if I remember well. So her son told what happened when he met Jesus and he told some things about heaven. Including that there are many babies in heaven (probably babies that died at a young age, or during pregnancy) and he said that there are many nice people in heaven that take care of these babies until someone from the family comes to heaven. Still, we can't know for sure what is going on and I don't want to harm you in any way with this, but help.
    I can give you the link for that , so that you can her yourself if you want.
    I don't want to look as a person that sticks her nose everywhere, I just wanted to share something I heard about.. If I harmed you with these type of story I truly apologise.
    God bless you and your family.

    So I just recently started getting to know God on a deeper level. In the meantime, I have always been a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Even in my Christianity... Even if it's just the fallen world we live in... That's a "reason", correct? I'm asking from a point of understanding other people's perspectives about specific topics... I don't believe God wants anyone's baby to die, yet so many do on a daily basis, with varying reasoning behind it. In my opinion, that's like saying in some cases, one can "see" or understand why a baby/small child dies (parental neglect) and in the next sense, you can't "see" why it happens (a miscarriage). This is a very touchy subject and I'm almost thinking that the stance one takes on it is personal... Your video was interesting though and definitely gives a person something to think about...

      Blerta Xhelili As far as I understand, this is the ONLY time in the Bible that God removed His protective covering to allow Satan to test someone’s loyalty like this. I’m not gonna lie, there are some events that happen in scripture where I’m like “God, this is really extreme. I don’t fully understand it.” Job’s life would be one of those moments for me. The takeaway I have is that it’s possible to go through the most extreme chapters and keep your faith strong. I had a really rough patch a few years ago around my miscarriage where literally everything was falling apart and no one around me had the answers. As I read through the book of Job with my husband, it brought a sense of comfort that God never left me and I could still have hope in a brighter future. Needless to say, I’m in a much better place and I’m glad I didn’t allow traumatic circumstances to ruin my walk. I hope that all makes sense.
