Beautiful pond! Needs some hybrid stripped bass! Put 12 of them in my just over 1/2 acre pond. They seem to control the sunfish population better than the largemouth did. And they are not as hook shy as the LMB.
They also grow fast. 2 years and some are close to 8lbs. A 3lb HSB fights like a 12lb LM bass

Yes they are very fun to fight but they are not very great at reproducing, more often than not some cannot even reproduce at all

IF I was to win the power or mega of over 100, I'll buy land and put in a 12-acre pond/swimming hole in MN or western WI. and attract waterfowl.

Either a jig, spinner bait, or chatter bait

The "2lbs variety" you caught was about a pound. And your "5 pound" was a heavy 2lb or 3lbs max.

This just breaks my heart to see you set that hook that hard on that bass, lucky you didn't break it's neck or rip it's mouth off. Bad sportsmen and you worried about the fish being healthy and having big belly. Need to be reported to wildlife and fisheries for abuse and lose your fishing license. Not cool, not cool at all 😁😂🤣😃😅
