Great review Uncanny Omar - really disappointed these are not in hardcover and that the covers are only 25% size. All 3 would make a great single hardcover omnibus. Love how you called out Bradshaw's Wolverine & The X-Men work and John Bolton's Claremont collaborations (Black Dragon is my favorite). Art in the 3rd volume is too cartoony for me.
Hail to the King, baby! I remember having those Bolton books in single issue when it was under DarkHorse. Ash is one of my favorite cinema characters of all time. Bruce Campbell is the man. Did you ever watch Bubba Ho-Tep where he was Elvis is a nursing home fighting a mummy? The Ash TV show was hilarious. Probably my favorite book by Dynamite (well bought and published, anyway) was Garth Ennis' complete Just a Pilgrim deluxe hardcover. Great sci-fi/post apocalyptic little book. Collects two 5 part series.

By the way HANDS DOWN Army of Darkness IS THE BEST Evil Dead film just like Thor Ragnarok IS THE BEST Thor centric MCU movie...(drops the mic and runs out of the room before anyone retorts and distracts with 8:08)
i have never watched the first 2 movies but army of darkness and ash vs evil dead are (although the last season could have been better) awesome. i am not interested in those omnis but in the artbook and the crossover with danger girl
I think once they did a crossover with ash and my joint favourite series of all time Xena warrior princess in a comic mini series. Fun fact sam raimi, made both series and lucy lawless(who stared in both along with bruce Campbell)

Army of Darkness is the most nostalgic for me but I think Evil Dead 2 with its half serious/half comedy tone is the best. I love the Evil Dead series so it shames me to say that I've honestly never read one of its comics. I wish this and the Ash vs. series came out in OHC/omnibus format. Thanks for reminding me that these books exist.
Thank you for the review Omar! Up to now all Dynamite books I have read were just... ok at best. Even the ones without big TV show names attached. I do not have any connection to the AoD theme and I am not a big fan of the artwork in these books so it is a pass for me. I always thought a guy with a chainsaw instead of an arm fighting undead creatures would make the perfect manga but does not work as well for a comic book series. But that is just my opinion. I really appreciate that Dynamite sends you review copies in these days! And if I stumble across an interesting book I will probably end up buying it :) So keep it coming, I always like the look beyond the big two!

Of the 3 had to glue vol 2 back together…. They are kinda fragile. Fun read tho!! I recommend….

Evil Dead 1 was my favorite but, I understand why most people prefer AoD.
I do have a fond place in my heart for ED 2. That was my first one of the trilogy I saw.

An omnibus or compendium doesn't have to be in large hardcover format. I get you though.
Aren't these more like over-sized trade paperback than Omnibus? I would love to see a fully collected, single bound, HC omni of this.
