Omg!You did sooooo good with them!!! My rabbit freaks out ,does not like being held at all . Tuesday I had to take him to the Vet ,an he have me a Veryyy hard time, but at the Vets ,HE WAS SO GOOD!!! DID HE just give up or what???
I can really admire this as I can't bare to clip my bunnies nails. It seriously gets my heart racing. I've had bad experiences in the past with hitting the quick as I'm so shaky with my hands. I always get the vets to do mine but it would be super cool if I didn't have a phobia about doing it myself 😂
My rabbit hates being picked up but he sometimes settles down if he knows I’m not doing anything like clipping his nails. The trick is, he LOVES his pellets so I put some down on the ground and grab him with a towel
@@carrots7216 I wish that also but reality is, most rabbits will NEVER get/be used to being picked up or held because it makes them think of a predator grabbing them..
pastel panda you cut below quick which is the red part. Only cut the white part of the nail. If your rabbit has dark nails, use a torch to see the separation between the nail. Hope that helps
Cut below the red part the quick so you don’t cut the nerves and make it bleed... and if the rabbit has dark nails use a phone light or flashlight hope that helped:)
Hello. I understand you have a lot of subs, and this isn’t exactly a newer video, but I have a pretty urgent question. My rabbit is new to my house - Only four days - but her claws are way too long. One just came off, and she’s pretty scared about it. I’m unsure if I should go ahead and clip them, or wait until she’s used to me. She is extremely skittish, and came from some pretty bad conditions. I want to help her, but she’s very scared of us. Thank you in advance!
Hi, how did you do it? I'm in the exact same situation. I took in 2 bunnies that were "brothers" but they have super long nails and they start thomping as soon as I try to grab them. Im scared of hurting the little trust we've build in the past week but my heart aches to cut the nails and help them groom. Somebody help please!
Aargh I'm dreading having to do this for the first time next month with my baby bun.. She would rather plunge to her death than let me hold her but thx for the tips!!
Depends o. The bunny. One of my bunnys will sit their and let me do whatever I need to do because shes learned to trust me. But my 2nd one is my absolute Best friend until I need to puc her up or cut her nails.
ADVICE NEEDED! Could anyone help me? I recently adopted my bunny from a rescue centre, I don't think her previous owners took care of her nails, they're far too long and the vein is also really long, so there's only so much I can trim at a time. The problem is she's carrying her weight at the back of her feet, and she's getting sores as a result 😭 does anybody have any advice? Is there some way I can shorten the vein in between trims?
gosh she's good - she makes it look so easy!

idk how to cut my rabbits nails, she gets so scared when i pick her up she kicks me until i put her down and by then i have cuts all over my arms
Me too :/
Well for the cuts you can wear a thick full sleeve sweater.
Try the bunny burrito method!
I would love to see a video on catching them first :D they are super cute btw, I want to get another one now!

Do you have any tips? My bunny is the same, absolutely panics if I pick him up. Even the towel trick doesn't work 😭
They don’t look that skittish to me 😂

My rabbit is such a biter he hates being picked up or even touched
What breedd are these???
Great job, in the other vids "professionals" have put up, the bunny sits still. that aint reality.

Domestic rabbits should be inside be very careful and not cut so random it is very painful to cut them in the quick Don't like them being kept outside
Rabbits do hold a grudge lol

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/sorehocks.html could maybe explain the sores on the feet
@@hayley9655 Thankyou so much for this. I'll get her to the vets ASAP
Grumpy bunny has huge feet haha
trimming the hair around their feet helps see the nails better somewhat.
