Both of your Pogonips are fabulous! The French terry fabric is bright and cheerful and the quilted fabric looks very chic and timeless. Good luck with the Vogue wrap dress. Happy sewing, Julie!
Love, love both your Pogonips. These are the first ones to make me want to make it!! You look great in both. Cannot wait to see the DVF. Such an iconic dress. I am sure it will look stunning on you. 😊 Lynne
Hi Julie, love your jackets both are brilliant and absolutely look great on you. The wrap dress you're making....I made two of those in 1976 for my after pregnancy dress after my youngest daughter was born. I loved that pattern. I chose wrap dresses as then I could pull the wrap tighter as my body recovered. I'm so looking forward to seeing you finish this dress. I've seen the pattern and have been tempted to make it again. Glad you had a nice break away and yes it was a freezing week last week and very blustery. I'm in Southampton. Have a lovely day and thank you for your time Julie really appreciated 😊 x
Both are gorgeous, Julie! Well done you :) i didn't think I liked the Pogonip but they both look really good on you. Love the vogue pattern too & am looking forward to seeing that made up. Happy Sewing, have a great weekend xXx
My favourite is the grey quilted one. Love it . Love the idea of a skirt with poppers. You will rock that look Julie. DVF dress pattern. Remember the sizes were different in the 60’s and 70’s on the sewing patterns. Good idea on getting the bigger size. I know there are alot of tips on avoiding the gape at the neck on wrap dresses and tops. From adding extra at neck edge to nipping the pattern piece and adding clear elastic along that edge. Have to say wrap dresses no good for me, so I can’t comment on what I have found successful. Others will I am sure have good advise on this.
Julie, love both of your Pogonips!!❤ I would be excited to wear both😍. I agree with you on the back pocket as I don't think I would ever fold it and carry it and it would also create additional bulk. Well done!
Love both of your pogonip pullover! Love the colors and fabric choices! I’m oozing forward to making my pogonip soon! ❤. Thank you for the inspiration! Enjoy your channel!
The pogonip isn't something I would choose to make as I don't think I would get the wear from it. I love both of yours though, my favourite is the green one. I am very interested to see how your dress comes out though. I did take a look at the pattern but, being a plus size, it doesn't cater for my curves 😢 A shame because I would have loved to make one. I know yours will be amazing Julie because everything you make is bloody fabulous! I aspire to be ¼ as good as you... one day 😂 xx
Thank you so much Julie 💕 It is a shame so many patterns have such narrow size options. I don’t know if the anniversary version the wrap dress has increased sizes? I’ve started to sew up the bodice (why did I choose satin to make a toile? 🙄 I’m really keen to see how this turns out in woven fabric 🤞.
I honestly didn't like the pattern when I saw it, thought my large bust would look ug 😢 but seeing yours, wow they are lovely the Terry one is gorgeous and the colours suit you so well, and the houndstooth is absolute class, great job on both, haven't seen the others as yet but will do. As Stacey said,You must show us your loft conversion, pretty please 😅😂 or is that where all your Santa's helpers stay when not required downstairs 😂 love yr vlogs regards Diana from NZ 🎉❤
Thank you Diana, I wasn’t sure if I’d keep the pogonip or gift it out but I actually love wearing it, especially the quilted one 🤩 I will get a sewing room and loft conversion tour recorded. We bought some artwork that I’d like to get hung on the walls first but I will get round to showing you how it turned out as I do keep referring to it. 🤩😍
Thank you for your video, just about to make a pogonip in FT, and the bulk you talked about has really helped! I do love your FT one, mine will be a 'loud' print too :D
Hi Julie. Have you tried Zipper Station for your zips. I've always found them good quality and reasonable priced. They have everything you need on the website. Love your pogonips X
It does say it can be make in woven or knit. I do love a challenge and I’m interested in what it would look like in woven as like you say, the ones I’ve seen have been jersey fabrics. You may well be right, I’ll find out soon 🤷♀️
I love both of your pogonip jumpers and can’t wait to see your dress. The Isle of Wight has been extremely wet and windy these last few months, I hope that didn’t put you off and you’ll come back again soon. What day are you going to the stitch festival? I’m going with some friends on the Sunday. 💙🧶🌈🍓
We love IOW. We were both powerboat racers back in the day and spent a lot of time on the solent. We are hoping to have a few days there over the summer. I’m going to stitch festival on Thursday as I have other commitments at the weekend 😧
Great video Julie, the pogonips are fab, the quilted one being my favourite, very inspiring, I’ll have to buy the pattern! 😁. Your patina blouse is gorgeous, I love the fabric, where did you buy it from? Looking forward to seeing the vogue dress. 👗
Thank you Dawn. The fabric came from a monthly subscription box but I’m sure there’s some left on the Sew Hayley Jane Outlet shop -give it a google as I’m not sure of the exact name of the online shop
Hey hun. I love the blouse. You look gorgeous in a patina Your pogonip flower style… love love the the ribbing on the sleeves. I love the hounds tooth - it is CLASSY. You have made me reevaluate my thoughts on it to be honest. Yours is the first I’ve watched and I love it on you. Love to see the conversion of the loft. That dress is gonna be stunning on you. I love the hounds tooth but not saying I don’t love the Terry one!! 💕🦩💕🦩🦩🦩

I’m excited to use such an iconic pattern. I’ve not used big 4 patterns too much but think I know enough to get by with the scant instructions 🤞💕😍
LOVE your grey quilted Pogonip!
Thank you Leslie 🥰
Fabulous Pogonips jumpers Julie, a warm for Australia at the moment but definitely on my winter makes list, have a great sewing week, Deb

That DVF wrap dress has to be made in a jersey knit fabric! It will it not work in a woven. Love both of the pull overs.

Remember the 3feet rule, a mistake that can’t be spotted from 3 feet isn’t there. Do t unpick those stitches on the pocket. 😉
I agree with that ethos! 😍
Can you do a sewing room tour?
I must do that! I’ve attempted it twice now and ended up with rubbish footage. I will have another go 💕
😂😂 You don't know if you're a bit bonkers 😂😂
I have since confirmed to myself that I am 🤣🤣
