Ateez's schedule during Kingdom was so insane! Not only did they have the Fireworks comeback but 4 of them were shooting the drama with some of the SF9 members but they were also shooting so many group variety shows on top of everything. I swear if I have 1 or 2 appointments in the same week, I am doing nothing else so I can recoup lol
I can't tell you how excited I was for y'all to watch this episode for that Ateez performance, I knew Adam was gonna lose it at Jongho 🤣 He still does it live in concert!
24:00 when you mentioned humor, i immediately thought abt Ateez's performance of The Real. it's so different and fun than the other finale performances
For Coachella, be sure to watch week 2. Week 1 had technical difficulties with the camera rig or something so the first chunk of it was filmed weird. However, there are some moments from week one that were special too.
35:00 YOU ARE RIGHT! now you have to watch coachellateez 😂 (week 2 please there's better camera work) ((beware of most iconic seonghwa moment in 2024))
Jongho did the notes at Coachella and because of the winds and how high he had to go to be heard, he started to hyperventilate after doing it. The next day he went to vocal lessons in LA to help control his voice. He's amazing because he's so dedicated to his craft and even though he's a GOAT he still believes he can improve.
Sometimes I'll be in the middle of watching a show or a movie or in the middle of a task or whatever (one time, and by one time i mean a few times, I woke up out of my sleep) and I'll just pause it or drop it (or wake up) and go watch Ateez's Kingdom Wonderland and Round 2 performances for like 20 minutes, before going back to my life, like an addict. truly insane smh
One thing that always shocks me about From the Wonderland is the section after Jongho's highnote. They had been going hard. Then they turn it up another notch and start doing choreo with a million jumps, kicks, and squats--it's crazy! Jongho deserves all of that praise. It's definitely time to watch Coachella and some of his solo stuff like Lee Mujin's Service. ATEEZ's reaction when they went from 5th to 1st was so sweet. Humble boys. As far as the budget goes, the word at the time was that everyone had the same budget from Mnet, but the groups received different answers to whether they could supplement (eg use props & set pieces they already had). Adam and I ranked these performances the same.
I think the strategy of being 4th has to do with split episodes - especially given the global audience. Being 1st in the second ep means that everyone can immediately go 'Oh, that was more memorable than last weeks' and then be fresh compared to those who come after. The issue I think with SKZ for me was that some of the 'moments' weren't necessarily focussed on them. The dancers under the sheet was cool but they were standing on a platform - it would have blown my mind if they put themselves under the sheet. Or the dancer dangling upside down while Chan stood above him. The way SF9 learn from this week to next week is going to kill you! (It killed me!) I know its unavoidable when they're all off doing different things but full strength SF9 is stunning. I've already ranted in Patron about Ateez but to reiterate, thank you Jongho for bestowing your gifts upon us Even further than Coachella, I want a full stream watch along of one of Ateez's tour dvds tbh......
im having a deobi trauma flare up like watching them try and reach higher and higher every week after they did such incredible stuff on rtk it was heartbreaking my divas were soooo burnt out but luckily come round 4ish they get back to their roots but yeah the game of thrones stuff is... it was something fs (also ateez praise ofc ofc we love to see it)
It took me far longer than it should have to realize that you two aren't in the same room lol Im so excited to see you react to this Ateez stage! It's one of my all time favorites. BTW speaking of Seonghwa and his insane stage presence and duality: i once read an interview where the writer mentioned that when Ateez gets off stage Seonghwa stages in character for a while and "stalks around in Hala Hala Mode for a few minutes". So I think it's a bit of a method acting situation
25:19 Exactly. This wasn't the first Ateez song/performance I saw (that honor goes to Wake Up concert footage, iykyk), but this is the one that grabbed me and said, "you belong to us."
SF9's number is actually referencing the movie Perfume: The Story of A Murderer~ It's about a man who is after the perfect scent, which explains all the sniffing. Also, this round has been a bit contested because there was a bit of a budget issue? Basically, all the groups were given a budget cap, but when the PD announced the removal of the budget cap, they only informed the three 4th gen groups. It was then said that there was another PD and they handle three groups each? So it definitely makes people wonder what it would be like if the other three groups were informed of the budget cap removal for this round.
I watched Kingdom because of Stray Kids, but I gotta admit, I loved Wonderland of Ateez more. At least musically, because the contortionist freaked me out quite a bit
It’s so interesting you mentioned how they’re pushing the younger groups because did you notice how at the end the “Professional ranking” was in exact order from youngest group at 1st to oldest at 6th??
If you DO watch ATEEZ Coachella….watch day 2. Just ded. I will say that kingdom performance made me atiny. I always admired ateez and knew of them since pre debut, but never delved into them. Once I saw this??? I mean how can you not??
Funny thing about the SKZ "board meeting:" Mostly, they deflect/blow off the Div 1 JYP recommendations and do what they want. Lol. Because that's what they do day-to-day, being self-produced. You won't see Div 1 personnel again.
Of you watch ateez coachella watch week 2 lol. Cameras ATE IT first week cause the winds were too high. Also can't wait to see the rest of the weeks reactions!
Ateez are incredibles!!! Amazing!! That's why this is the only group i stan. And Jongho is not only one of the best vocalist in kpop, but in qll music industry. So proud😊 staning talents
This was such a good banch of performances I still don't know how you've not heard about Jongho before aotm I'm not Atiny but I swear he is brought up in every conversation about best vocals in 4th gen not RJ saying "it's the male version of..." about sf9 i can't wait for that performance:>
It's funny, regarding your talk about the SKZ "board meeting", because I got a totally different vibe from it! To me, haven seen all the different Kingdom seasons, it's clear that all groups have a team and production behind them, but SKZ showing that they're ACTUALLY a part of the whole process, and not just "choosing a song", seems to fit their whole "shtick" about being a self-producing group. Granted, all groups seem to be more hands on than they might normally be for a run-of-the-mill stage production. It just really fits SKZ's image to me, to show them engaged at that level! Love you guys' stuff xx
they r literally performing that whole musical performance on their tour in every stop and even on coachella just to show everyone that they r and will always be the best pirate kpop performers
you said "now the girlies are gonna say you have to watch ateez coachella" just as i went to leave a comment saying you should watch ateez coachella..... (all that to say, you should watch ateez coachella)
😅🤣 it always makes me mad when I see no men's line at shows...i haven't done it at a kpop show but you best believe I peed in a men's room when I saw Harry Styles, we just yelled that girls were coming in and went. LOL knowing wooyoung from fantasy boys is like me knowing him from We Got Married lol
13:39 Girl don’t even open that box. The amount of discourse and fighting there was about the audio and vocals in this show when it was airing… you don’t wanna go there, trust me 🥶 My fave performance from this episode was sf9's. I loved the song I loved the concept, the outfits were amazing. Everything about it appealed to my classical ballet girlie heart. If only the camera work wasn’t horrid. Ateez' performance was impressive and I really loved it, it was so well structured and the remix of wonderland was amazing. One of the treated things I’ve ever seen! It was a spectacle! Also Seonghwa 🥵 I do not like the stray kids stage. It’s just not for me. I don’t like the songs and I don’t like the style of the stage. I can see how it’s really well made, everything about it is exactly what they were aiming for and it’s really impressive. None of it is what I personally like. I've only really seen it once the first time I watched the show, on rewatched I skip it or fast forward. As for how i'd rank the stages this round: Btob, Sf9, Ateez/ikon, the boyz, stray kids. I honestly don’t know if I’d have voted for ateez or ikon. This ranking is based on how much I enjoyed them and not which ones I thought were objectively the best. That would be a different list. Can’t wait for the next round, there are so many amazing stages and I really like all of them!
The whole jongho praise segment made me so happy cause I felt the EXACT same way when I discovered him 😭😭😭💀
Ateez's schedule during Kingdom was so insane! Not only did they have the Fireworks comeback but 4 of them were shooting the drama with some of the SF9 members but they were also shooting so many group variety shows on top of everything. I swear if I have 1 or 2 appointments in the same week, I am doing nothing else so I can recoup lol
the wide shot of adam when he started the jongho praise is tooo funny 😭
ATEEZ Coachella is something else, you just HAVE to watch it
It's worth the $10/mo (or whatever it is) to watch RJ eat his sweatshirt during Wonderland.
I can't tell you how excited I was for y'all to watch this episode for that Ateez performance, I knew Adam was gonna lose it at Jongho 🤣
He still does it live in concert!
Also need to say I live for all the musical theatre references 😅
24:00 when you mentioned humor, i immediately thought abt Ateez's performance of The Real. it's so different and fun than the other finale performances
For Coachella, be sure to watch week 2. Week 1 had technical difficulties with the camera rig or something so the first chunk of it was filmed weird. However, there are some moments from week one that were special too.

Seonghwa was giving the Captain’s wife that everyone listens to and loves, and Hongjoong frequently gives him the reigns of the ship
I knew you'd like this ATEEZ performance but this made me SO happy and also want to cry with pride
the jongho praise made me so happy 😭😭😭 thank u for appreciating him!!!!!
I'm just waiting for y'all's reaction to SF9's Round 3 performance lmao
Same!
That's my favourite performance after Wonderland. Taeyang saved us
They are gonna lose their minds
Taeyang changed my life
@ Taeyang and Zuho MVPs
Does this mean we can get a video of appreciation for some of ATEEZ’ bsides/solos that we didn’t get during their beloved month?
Sometimes I'll be in the middle of watching a show or a movie or in the middle of a task or whatever (one time, and by one time i mean a few times, I woke up out of my sleep) and I'll just pause it or drop it (or wake up) and go watch Ateez's Kingdom Wonderland and Round 2 performances for like 20 minutes, before going back to my life, like an addict. truly insane smh
You’re so real for this because I would have to put it on often for a fix
mood 💗
The way I started watching this back then to support IKON but ended up loving every group 🥹 They are so talented ❤
One thing that always shocks me about From the Wonderland is the section after Jongho's highnote. They had been going hard. Then they turn it up another notch and start doing choreo with a million jumps, kicks, and squats--it's crazy!

to my niche community of salt by angelina jolie + twilight girlies, we thought 2010 was our first and only year, but we ride again with adam in 2025

there are stages that utilize humor in the future so that's something for you to look forward to
Coachella is a must watch, week 2 especially..they went crazy.
Oh...you ABSOLUTELY have to watch Ateez Coachella. WEEK 2 preferably because the camera work in week 1 was trash.
It took me far longer than it should have to realize that you two aren't in the same room lol
Im so excited to see you react to this Ateez stage! It's one of my all time favorites.

Just watch the coachella performance at this point...i mean what possible harm could it do?

I love that you guys are reviewing this series!
Rewatching Kingdom then watching this. SF9 was my fave!
i've literally waited for you guys to react to kingderland from the moment i've first subscribed and it's finally here!! thank you for the review ❤
had to pause halfway through for the deep cute stephanie j block pirate queen reference bc that is my MOTHERRRRRRRRRRR
It’s so interesting you mentioned how they’re pushing the younger groups because did you notice how at the end the “Professional ranking” was in exact order from youngest group at 1st to oldest at 6th??
I am loving these recaps ❤
I just can't wait for your reaction to THAT BTOB performance. We all know what i mean and I can't wait for you to see it! 👀😍💙
If you DO watch ATEEZ Coachella….watch day 2. Just ded.
I will say that kingdom performance made me atiny. I always admired ateez and knew of them since pre debut, but never delved into them. Once I saw this??? I mean how can you not??

will now be forever thinking of SF9 as the Vulturi
Hi, they did allocate money to each group, but some groups were given more than others.
Of you watch ateez coachella watch week 2 lol. Cameras ATE IT first week cause the winds were too high. Also can't wait to see the rest of the weeks reactions!

I agree...you do have to watch Ateez Coachella lol
I would probably also watch you two do a two man Cinderella lol
23:50 Foreshadowing 👀
they r literally performing that whole musical performance on their tour in every stop and even on coachella just to show everyone that they r and will always be the best pirate kpop performers
Ok brandi Cinderella reference! my all time favourite version
you said "now the girlies are gonna say you have to watch ateez coachella" just as i went to leave a comment saying you should watch ateez coachella..... (all that to say, you should watch ateez coachella)

Can’t wait for the next round, there are so many amazing stages and I really like all of them!
OMG BRANDI CINDERELLA YES
Zb1 reactions plss
