@@Worldofantoine she's always done it. And I noticed more for dramatic effects when doing lower notes and ending it suddenly or going up in notes in a dramatic way. But here and many videos around this time I felt she was doing it excessively for style . Example when she sang this around 2001 for USA open she did this a little for dramatic effects but here it's a lot, like starting the note, then in the middle of it and then the end. But probably she was starting to have a lot of vocal issues after 2007.

Only thing that irked me is she did way too many vocal clicks. Around that year she did it a lot.
Around this time the glottal “yodel” helped her transition between registers easier.
