One of the loveliest things about Rooms, especially the 1977 episodes is the beautiful but embattled Carol played by Jenny Twigge and when she loses her temper with Ian, really quite scary! I am also very grateful for the way you've put the original dates of broadcast on the episodes, very thoughtful and considerate. Also the sound is excellent on your episodes too. Very well done again. Many thanks.
This reminds me of my bedsit life in'74/'76 .The three storey house had ten single rooms. A couple had a baby there, a retired miner lived with his wife, and an old lady in her tiny room just had a chair, bed, and some suitcases. Many thanks for these episodes-the scripts are well researched & written & the actors captured brilliantly the emotional intensities related to bedsit living,
Having lived in bed sitter land in the 1970s I can vouch for how authentic this series is. Extraordinary acting by all concerned and I'm sure it won't be long before Talking Pictures TV run the entire series once again.
Wonderful. I wish if we could watch Rooms in order, though. I know you probably don’t have’em all but these few ones are highly appreciated. Quite engaging and entertaining.. and That is the purpose of the industry after all. Thanks. 💐
I think we all forgot what it was like then, not a lot of money to go round, but at least some people were nice, neighbours spoke to each other, nowadays you don't see anybody, I have in our street for 30 years and there's people that I have never seen come out of their house, when I was a kid we knew everybody in the street😢
These were your boomers that people complain about these days. No macmansions, no new cars every few years, no mass consumerism. Just living in rooms. It was a hard life, but no complaints, we just got on with it.
if the social worker sees lots of people with beautiful children and can also see that they arent looking after them, then she should be a good judge of what she can see . so she should not be erring on the side of something needs to be wrong. useless social workers . she pissed me off a lot
She irritated me too. But I suppose really having the babies best interest at heart would have prevented the cases that we've heard of (Baby P I'm thinking of). These are two good parents, which is the most important. The mother is devoted to her baby Alison.

Mrs Beale almost smiled there. Almost.

Thank You
You're welcome Maria.
Miss Flood from May to December.
The cutest puppy I've ever seen! Unwanted. That awful mrs. Beale.
There is a part 1 to this. Unfortunately I watched the wrong way round. I still enjoyed it though.

who complains about boomers?
@@collinhunter9792 lots of people - saying they ruined the world lol
Vera Pusey's bowl haircut was trendy in 1977
Everything looks so real - until the front doir is opened.😊
This two-parter was particularly sad.

What happened to the Lady that owned the house?
Dorothy didn't feature in the 1977 series. If you see the episode Dorothy and Clive (it's on TH-cam), it gives you an idea of what happened.
@imanihekima1659 thank you so much
he gave me such controlling vibes, poor cow
