Poor guy. I lived on a boat for 13 years - but I was a lot younger. I can really imagine getting into his situation. The kindness of strangers is a precious thing.
I have a similar boat. I cannot express how grateful I am for your work. A similar crash can happen to any yachtsman, for whatever reason. I am so glad that people like you exist.
Great job on helping him out with the boat. Sad I am seeing people judge him though. Nobody knows what that man has been through or going through rich now. I have seen people drive around on bald tires and still spend money where they shouldn't. I don't think someone would sink their own boat just to have the government take care of them. Some people should SWEEP their own front porch before judging someone else. Thanks for the upload and great job on helping another lost person out, cause he really needed it.
THANK YOU for bringing light to the homeless problem and how they live on the river. Also, it seems that the Sheriffs Department works well with you, they seem to have great attitudes!! You have a few videos where you interacted with this agency ie.. diving for treasure with Mayo under the Oregon City bridge, etc..
I lived on a 42’ 1940’s Chris Craft from 1984-1992 and it was an awesome experience as a kids growing up with my family. We had it moored in Olympia WA and in the summer we would take it to the San Juan Islands. Cheers Olympia WA
I hope Bob has a better day!! You guys crack me up!!! I think we all need to set Mr. Leisek up with a hotel/motel account. After all he does volunteer to do this!!
Amazing - just now saw this - really great to see people willing to help their fellow human beings, especially for free! To be in the service of your fellow man is nut to be in the service of the Lord.
Those pumps are perfectly able to self prime. The reason you fill it up with water before starting at his because it has a ceramic Seal and that ceramic seal uses the water as coolant and lubricant. Without the water the seal would overheat and crack.
I found you guys on facebook, and I would like to ask you guys to look into my county's lake. We have a large man made lake, and several cold cases, it has even been rumored that there is a bulldozer that was put in the lake. The name of the lake is watauga lake, it is located in the counties of Johnson and Carter county in east TN. I didn't have much luck finding contact information for you guys so hopefully this will work.
I am 17:38 in to this video when someone said 'it's gonna sink again' I say No! I speak that y'all will save it! There is power in the words we speak! So let's believe for the best!
The problem is that a lot of people have only a boat to live on myself included and are on a disability pension. The thing is a lot of us can't afford insurance. There is one thing that really gets me is that sailboaters never ever look at their depth sounder before they tie-up or anchor. As far as I am concerned the depth sounder is the most important instrument on any boat and I have lived on a boat for 40+ years I should know.
The boat life is amazing Ken and kinda jealous you've been able to do it for 40 years. I see in your other comments though that it's not made you a happy person. You Okay? Always happy to chat.
Our boat sank "oddly" at the dock. Insurance 🤣had it. They wanted to call it a wreck & only pay to lift it out. Up to $7000. Our friend had a pump, port had a pump & lift bags. Boat floated a day & a half without working bilges. Licked our wounds, cleaned the mess. Still have insurance to make port happy. Plus for protection of other boats. Still floating at same dock 3-1/2 years later.
That dude needs to make use of water depth charts that are available and keep his sailboat where it will stay afloat during low tide. Maybe he should take a Coast Guard auxiliary course.
Guess who sunk their boat before the next morning? Unfortunately we’ve been advised this happens yearly and is a pattern. Was it on purpose? You be the judge.
Hostels are really common here in Chile. Backpackers stay in them. My son is in the coast guard over the hill from you in Bellingham WA and he is a diver too. He would love diving with you all. Jim in Chile
“We need a boat” Might be time to start hitting a couple of the major NW aluminum boat builders up. I’d think they would donate if they knew you were going to offer your skills for free or at a minimum deeply discounted. I’m in Medford and there’s at least 5 builders here. If you find yourself in Medford hit me up. I have a North River sled we can use. Thanks man, you rock!!!
Hello. I love your videos. Your daughter’s hand is beautiful. Only you could trade sun glasses for ice cream. At Chic fil A I trade the toy from the kids meal for ice cream. A fan from Delaware. Good suba diving and God Bless. Shirley Temple
why dont you use that flek seal , you know that stuff you see in the info tv. if you apply it on the outside and stop the leaks and then put it on the inside wonte that fix it?
I know that these are not emergency situations, but I wonder if people in these situations of drowning in a submerged car could have been saved if they had had some emergency equipment in the car with them. I am talking about a window buster, a life vest, some spare air, and maybe even a mask. I cannot swim at all. I see how often the cars go in upside down which would completely disorient the occupants. How quickly would bystanders call in for help? How fast do rescue workers arrive at the scene and respond to trying to get the people out of the vehicles to see if they could be saved? These submerged vehicle accidents happen a lot in FL. Do they act at a pace as if the person is dead already? I know the people you search for are already dead for a while by the time you have found them and because the accidents took place in remote areas where there were no witnesses. The likelihood of this happening to someone is not likely, but if it happened to you you would want a chance to escape death if possible. My relatives think that I am obsessing, and maybe I am, but the thought terrifies me to want to be ready with emergency equipment to help myself survive rather than just accept that I am drowning and going through the nightmare and horror.
I had to laugh watching the poor guy pulling his arm off @ 23:35 trying to start the Honda Inverter. I have an EU 2000 that I have to work on for an hour to get going every time it sits unused for over a couple of weeks. Best thing to do is leave it sit for an hour after 70 to 100 pulls, then it’ll start on the first yank. Lol!
I'm curious though, have you ever considered removing all the harmful stuff like gas and oil related parts, then putting them back down there as a sort of artificial spawning ground for the fish and such...
It wasn't meant as a negative criticism. I think what you do is commendable. The city county or state should compensate you. It would be nice if a follow up could be done by "someone" to let viewers know if someone got charged and had to return insurance.Cheers from Victoria.
@@rogerdickinson920 ... Oh sorry if it didn't come across correctly. Didn't take as criticism at all. Would be awesome if compensation was involved, but even without, we are addicted to the hunt and the dives with friends and those we meet along the way.
I feel bad for this guy. This didn’t strike me as very accident-y. Pretty sure he wanted it to go all the way down, he just had an expression that made me think he was thankful but annoyed at the beehive of activity his home had become. You could tell he felt mixed about getting it floating level. I’m not judging.

The owner did look like a bit of a drinker, probably trying to get the state to house him somewhere else

A high average of population buoyancy.
Teach Tatum how to tie a bowline. Someday it will pay off and YOU and Tatum will be happy he knew how to tie it.
What ever happened to that helicopter video you talked about a while ago? Whee were a that video??
Trying to get a solid lock on it. I'm heading back to KY first of the year in hopes of landing on it.

Clean your pilot jet. The pilot jet is smaller than a sewing needle gas drys in it.
Or use some gogojuice(!)
There really was no hope since it fell in the drink.

Oh Bob. Bad news.
All these vehicles you find does law enforcement try to track these people down I know in a lot of states there are hefty fines.
The police don't want to do the paperwork. They only want to be involved if we find a body
How difficult is it to check the tag or vin#. It could be an insurance fraud.
Roger Dickinson .. the tow company reports them to impound if they can get a VIN. Not always possible.
