Oh lord! Perfect perfect perfect. THAT sounnnnnndd. Perfect. So many other people get caught up in the whole Marshall thing and overdo it. But it's not about copying the gear, it's about getting the tone. You've got it. Well done, Sjoerd. Enjoy!
Jesus that tone is absolutely monstrous , Jon really was a genius cos the addition of some distortion like REALLY changes the instrument completely Your playing and tone are absolutely phenomenal and I am saying that as someone who sadly never learned to play keyboards, only bass and guitar The sound of the Leslie and the way you modulate it is so tasteful and is absolute BLISS You are a true master
That tone you got going is pure sickening filth. Stumbling upon your video definitely made my morning. I'll keep this video bookmarked to look back upon when the day comes that I modify my own Hammond, hoping to achieve this nasty sound. Thanks!
Lots of other great distorted organs played by Ken Hensely(Uriah Heep) Keith Emerson(ELP) Vincent Crane(Atomic Rooster, Arthur Brown) Lee Michaels, there were others as well. BTW great playing.
Nice job dude just jumped over here from a thief purple video where I was curious about John Lord and the B3 organ... your SEO was popping because you showed up... Now I have to subscribe
Wow, got the sound of The Beast very closely (maybe get even a bit more overdrive?), also great skills on the keys, you could be the choise for a Deep Purple tribute band. Plain enjoyable 5 minutes of TH-cam.
I am an amateur musician and I try to play hammond. I love your videos that help me in ideas of very feverish phrases and concepts that are your trademark. Greetings from Brazil.
Heavens to Murgatroyd, you're amazing. That organ tone is superb and your playing, sir, is absolutely fucking uitstekkend. I assumed you were Dutch, so I do apologise if I used the wrong language, either way, you're amazing at what you do and this is both perfect from the fact that you've nailed that Deep Purple gnashing teeth organ tone but fucking hell, you're a top notch heavy rock, prog rock, blues rock organ player. Much respect.
This is insane :-))) Really amazing Lord-esque skills, man! This sound is probably best you can have with "transistors". But i think that this Lord's brutally sharp yet still clear overdrive can be done only with tube (pre)amplifier.
Oh wow.... fantastic... be still, my beating heart.... The Hammond Tone Wheel Organ... thank you so much man.. I really enjoyed watching you play.. : )
RIP Sir Jon-Motherf#cking-Lord! The man whose keys practically defined the sound of rock! This sounds so much like something he would have played as a solo during a concert!
Holllly man that sounds just great. love it... why would hammond have ever fought the leslie... if anything it would sell more organs for them... unreal
Alexander Lioubimenko yeah definitely worth it. Though I use it for guitar so I got another od pedal. a bk butler which sounds different but very awesome. you can see it in this video so you can hear it, I prefer that one over the ibanez: th-cam.com/video/bC9-9tbSPns/w-d-xo.html
Now a Marshall Stack along side of the Leslie and Maestro Ring Modulator. Then that shit will sound like John Lord's rig. But then again, the sound you got is pretty SICK!
Incredible! I’m speechless! Excellent job in creating the authenticity of a sound that you just don’t hear enough in music anymore. What country do you live in? I’m gonna’ guess somewhere in Europe? And I say this because most American “keyboard players” (regardless of exact instrument), just typically don’t have playing instincts like this. This is an aggressive, frontman-style, that you don’t see in today’s American pop culture. So I’m so glad to see you bringing it back in 2016, 17, and beyond. Keep up the good work.
I'm sorry can't do that. It's an FX loop from Trek II and it comes with installation instructions. For DIY, there are a lot of threads online with detailed explanations, mainly on the organ forum.
This is awesome man , I’ve watched this vid at least 20 times ! Where are you plugging in the pedals ? Do they go into the organ somewhere? Or into the amp?
I am a multi instrumentalist but a guitar player above anything else. I just bought a M-102. How do you learn to do stuff like THAT?!? Please give tye secrets!!!
Haha, nice organ! I used to own a L222 quite simular to the M102. There are some videos of it on my channel aswel. I already played piano for many years before I started playing Hammond. I guess I started out using piano skills and later on developed Hammond skills just by playing a lot.
Love your videos and your style of playing man! Can you please explain (consider me a total beginner) how exactly did you connect the pedals and the effects loop? I have a Hammond M100 myself with lower manual bass foldback and a line out connection. My connecting scheme is: Hammond output --> Lester K Stereo Rotary Speaker pedal --> mixer -->speakers. I get the rotation effect (to an extent) but i barely get any distortion, it is almost hard to notice even with the drive knob turned to the max. Do you maybe know the soulution to my problem? Do I need an effects loop? How do I connect it? Thank you for your anwers
Hello ,could you specify to me how and where your FX loop is connected because , usualy it works only with the upper or the lower but not with the upper an lower on same time .my Fx loop is connected on the matching transformer on the yellow wire.thank you for your help . if you have a pics it will be perfactBien cordialement franck
Bought a FX Loop? I was thinking if to add a send/receive tap point into my C3 for this very maddness. Did you buy or build it? Just wanna add, when I play like this (on the C3) it seems soooooo exciting! It's loke trying to hold onto a wild bull :) great!
I bought it from trek II. Im far to inexperienced to build it on my own. It's best when playing on 100% volume with a bit of overdrive from a pedal creating a mix with natural overdrive. So awesome. I added a second leslie 2 months ago and now it's just unreal
Hey Sjoerd, klinkt goed!
Sir Jon Lord is smiling in the heavens now, knowing that at least one guy is able to nail his amazing sound! Salud!
benharyo Haha thanks!
What’s the settings ? I don’t have a Hammond yet unfortunately, I have a Roland vk7 clonewheel organ.
You know he is!
Jon Lord would've been proud of that! Amen brother
Deep Purple would be proud
You play the organ like Stevie Ray Vaugh plays guitar......you weild it like a weapon or a lost arm .....amazing stuff
This is absolutely pure dead brilliant. That meaty beefy Monster tone and the playing is perfect as well.
Goed gedaan, Sjoerd, mate.
Thanks Jim!

Wow, that was totally BADASS!!!
FABULOUS, simply fabulous, unrivaled HAMMOND B3 (A100/C3) and now XK SERIE. Impossible to have this magical sound with nord, yamaha, roland....
Absolutely brilliant! That's how to play a Hammond properly!
RIdiculous amounts of rock and roll going on here!
Absolutely !
Yehhhhhh!!!!!! That's the way I like it, you pass the audition, you got the gig!!!!
An awesome case of the organ zoomies of the highest variety!!! Excellent work, my lord.
Explosions are happening lol , amazing playing and awesome tones 🔥🤘
This is insanely brilliant.

Deep Purple is Alive and Well , need some Hush
Oh my Lord! That was awesome!
4:05 that right there is THE sound of 70's rock. Like others have said, I was waiting for the drums to kick in 😅
Lots of other great distorted organs played by Ken Hensely(Uriah Heep) Keith Emerson(ELP) Vincent Crane(Atomic Rooster, Arthur Brown) Lee Michaels, there were others as well. BTW great playing.
Great grinding tone you've got going there! My compliments!
Simply nothing sounds like a real Hammond B3/C3. So good!
Haha, what a joy to listen. I was just waiting for the drums and bass to kick in... ;-)
Man I need more stuff like this
The best sound and the best music, thank you very much!
one word: AMAZING!!
Godverdomme man!.....dit klinkt zo ziek!
Dude you're the monster! That growwwwwl....man

Holy Crap!! You tore that thing up!! Love that overdrive sound.
Sir Lord was definitely played through this guy
Very beautifull me i like Deep Purple and Jon Lord who leaves us RIP
Unbelievable sounds!
Best sound ever!
Awesome mate. Beautiful.

Serious f-in skills right here! You sound fantastic. Rock on 🤘🏻
That's the deep purple way, crank it up and slap the heck out of it!👍
That was one hell of a solo, well done man!
Josh Wheatstone thanks
Great sound- and skills, mate. Cheers.

Merci... tout simplement, merci
Superb sound. You to hear and watch!
Thanks!
Thanks. Excellent playing
finaly intersting hammond player, not those other boring jazz and gospel organ players. keep it up you are amazing.
Thanks
This guy is great! But what's wrong with jazz Hammond...?
@@edorissen nothing just that is all over the you tube, nobody plays rock on Hammond.

what a huge "organic" drive with the Tube Screamer!!!
just for info, now I'm testing the Korg Nutube Nu:tekt, really impressive too!
Holy shit m8 this is sick

There's no instrument that transports the essence of Rock as sexy as an A100 does, especially If it is played with those skills
Sick all round
