Great stuff. We're waiting for the next video.! thx.!
Love to see the initial stage. The community appreciates you very much for taking your time and motivating us with your talent and thank you for providing us with how do you come up with your ideas.
As always thank you for insights into your work flow and mindset, this channel has been invaluable to me and my growth as an artist.
Thanks for sharing your workflow especially in this way, really enlightening.
dude,, your concept drawing skill was amazing! I'm a way.. way.. way... terrible..
HI Marco! Always apreciated for sharing this stage, some quick question: I noticed that in this particular case you almost didnt use dynamesh at all, just subdiv and sculpting over, and the outcome is even clean! Is that some particular workflow that you use for your blocking stage that is gonna be usefull in some process in the future or is just to keep the shapes controlled? (I guess that since you already got your concept as guide you ar enot doing open free art exploration which what dynamesh or Sculptris is used.. Thanks again! as all the other comments super appreciated and inspired for this videos!
Here’s a polished version:
Hi Marco,
Thanks for sharing the process you use to create your characters. It seems like you start by drawing inspiration from something specific. Then, you form an idea in your mind and create a base 2D concept. After that, you begin blocking it out in 3D, as shown in this video-working with shapes and translating the concept into 3D form.
Often I don't start from a sketch, but straight in 3D. Sometimes I start from 3D and later will sketch a few things for extra inspiration.
I would love to learn to use Zbrush. I have so many ideas. I love 3D Printing and sculpting with putties. I am into wh40k so I make a lot of custom chaos stuff.
I love your work! I found your work from Apex Legends. You made some of the coolest skins.
Do you teach courses?
Sorry I don't have time to give course or mentor but thanks for the kind words!
