Cool you were able to get your son a car. Went in half with my son buying him his first car, hoping he'd appreciate it more having some of his own funds invested. But unfortunately, he went out and acted foolishly. Speeding down a road, lost control and totaled the car. Luckily he wasn't hurt. Found out later he had a friend in the car with him when it happened, even though he said there was no in inside during the wreck. I was pissed. His friend was not hurt either, but from the looks of it they got real lucky. That was enough, took him off our insurance and he won't be getting another car for a very long time nor be driving any of ours.

a lesson learned that your son will never forget. my son had a similar experience and I believe it made him a better, more attentive, careful and responsible driver. He's been driving over 10 years now without a single accident. Was a small price to pay and everything happens for a reason.
10oz bars were always my favorite, but now I like the 5oz for some reason. They just feel cool in the hand. 🙂

I've been busy! Missed you my friend. That's the exact scenario I have been in. I had to sell my ounce of gold and a lot of silver. So many unexpected expenses. And I let my self get fiat short. I don't like that or debt. I'm in some tough times. Glad I had it. Now my stacking is a couple of oz at a time. Ces't la vie, eh.??

This is why I usually recommend leading with an emergency fund first. The premiums can really make this kind of selling undesirable. Perhaps if you don’t want to hold cash, but want exposure to the metals, maybe hold an ETF, and sell as you need cash.

I have been finding a lot of great deals on 10oz bars this year and would definitely call them great stacking material. You can honestly find them for close to the same premium of a 100oz, which are super illiquid.
Great looking stack of 10’s!!!! One of my favorites right now is the Scottsdale mint 10 oz chunky bar. Just something about the way it feels in your hand. Short, fat and stubby like a big piece of fudge. LOL!

It makes sense to me. I can make an active return on gold and silver and lower my overall dollar cost average in the metals.
I’ve needed the cash pretty bad at times but never sold a bit of mine either. I almost did once, but couldn’t stomach what the dealer offered me. I’m doing much better these days, don’t ever plan on selling, it’s nice to stack just to stack

I just converted 13 Scottsdale kilo stackers to 10 oz bars this past weekend.

Best video I've found on 10 oz bars yet! I have three questions.
1. Have you lost any money selling your silver bars
2. Is the premium on the Canadian Mint bars something you're concerned about making back when the time comes to sell again?
3. Would I have a more difficult time selling the Britannia Bars for a good price due to them lacking serial numbers?
I'm about to purchase my very first 10 oz bars and I'm interested in the Britanias
and Canadians for government minted and Sunshine and Scottsdale for generic.
I have not lost any money selling my bars I’ve sold about 35 of them in my stacking journey. I really like government minted bars because there always more trusted but that level of confidence also comes from well known generic brands as well . If you sell to the right shop you should get a bit of the premium back but most shops just try to give people spot unless it’s government minted coins 1oz silver coins . Personally I buy them all put prefer the Canadian bars and Britannia if I have a choice thanks cheers

I went a little too crazy on premium stuff this last month that ill be showing but moving forward other than getting some series pieces and collecables to flip ill be filling up a monster box with Eagles while the premiums are lower and focusing on ten oz bars when i dont have a lot of cash to stack with. My rent is going up in the next couple days for the second time in 6 months because my income raised. The writing is on yhe wall that im doing the best thing for my son by stacking as much as i can. I figured itll take me a while to finish filling this monster box but once ive finishes it ill be focusing primarily on ten oz bars and gold. Great video man.

compare to gold, 10 oz silver bar is fractional. Of course not small enough to barber a pie or loaf of bread but 10 oz silver bar can use to barber something in mid size value like ammo, petro, generator, etc
Paying your insurance in full always is the cheapest way to buy insurance. Also, wayyy cheaper than catching a lawsuit for bodily injury or property damages. Even if it cost you $3K for a youthful driver’s coverage for the year, God forbid he strikes a pedestrian 🚶♂️ I’ve seen settlements easily reach 6 figures. Regardless the insurance company will only pay up the limit afforded in the policy. Glad your son is doing ok, keep shtacking!! 🥈

I'm glad your family's doing well. Silver keeps us from hitting the bottom. I'm bringing in mostly avg. circ./cull coins. I stopped doing the Kookaburras and so forth so I could stack a little heavier for now. That's my personal circumstance. But I have noticed (and been told) that LCS owners are always willing to buy 1/10 oz & 1/4 oz gold and 10 oz and kilo silver.
The most important thing is to be a good provider for your children. That concept is lost on the people I know who don’t have kids.
