For what it's worth, I went from a manual F80 M3 to a 2020 STI. I don't miss the M3 at all to be honest. Traction control programming is way too intrusive, and tires don't help nearly as much as they should. The suspension rebound is also weak, and the car gets unsettled and floaty really easily over bumps. I eventually had coil overs that fixed that issue but the ride became unbearable. The STI in comparison is way better fit for me out of the box as a street car. The transmission feels way better, although the clutch feel in the M3 is better. But I'm not even touching the suspension, it's so stable and rebound is perfect. The only thing the STI needs is more power but since I've addressed that, I'll never think about the F80 again. It's a great looking car though, just not a great street car if you want to use all the performance it offers. It's a shame the new one is so ugly since it appears to have corrected many of the F80's shortcomings.
Also .. the f80 would smoke your Sti lmao what? The f80 won’t blow your head gaskets or straight up yeet the engine every time you add power, you don’t have to build the whole damn head to get power in an f80. Did you have a base model f80 with the fixed suspension (that couldn’t be adjusted in car) ? I own a f80 m4 almost fully loaded & my suspension is super stiff when in sport rebound and all, I do understand what you mean about it getting “unsettled” over crappy roads but it’s an M you gotta dodge potholes bruh don’t just roll over em Edit : you’re so right about the new G80 being ugly performance wise though they nailed it
@@Hold.My.Tacoss my M3 had adaptive suspension. It was very comfortable but even the slightest elevation change would upset the rear and cut power. I tried 3 different suspensions and only the Bilstein B16 coil overs fixed this issue. It would hold the road without cutting power, but I couldn't tolerate the stiff ride so I took them off after 6 months. I'm fully aware of the STI's limitations, but I never bothered adding power to my M3 because the traction control wouldn't even let the car use the power it had. I turned it off a few times but it's not practical to drive with it off all the time. I know my opinion is not a popular one, but for my purposes with no intention of hitting the track, my STI currently at 410 whp is more fun year round than the M3. The only reason I brought this up is because Bobbi mentioned it in the video and she has an STI currently. She should definitely drive one to see if she likes it, but in terms of useable performance on the street, I think her STI has the M3 beat. Just my opinion.

I never once have been scared driving my f80 it did raise my heart rate a bit in the first few days but when I purchased mine it was raining everyday for a week straight & I was still sending it everywhere lol, no close calls or anything but the rest end did shake up from time to time. I hope you enjoy your Sti brotha they prob have one of the best AWD systems out there. They are cool cars for sure & very capable I was just trolling a bit cause you left the F80 brotherhood haha. Hey Devin, you can fit F80 M3 Factory Brembo brakes on the e92, there might be an adapter plate or not. Im not quite sure however it significantly changes the cars braking/handling! My friend did that on his E92 M3 as well.
Pretty much you can but the fourpot bmw brembos on anymodel bmw the boltpattern matches some spaceing migth be needed tho curently putting m140i brakes on my e34
The auto is 100% the way to go if bobby actually wants an f80. My friend owns and they are insane. I love manuals but you can tell they were designed to be driven with tha auto trans in them

Love the wheels, think some 3 piece splits would look great as well. Don’t know if your sponsored by toyo but with the power your cars are making you need to up your tyre game. Try some Michelin pilot sport 4s you won’t regret it

You can but f80 370-380mm front disc or f20-f46 340mm but only the fronts are bolt on the rears will need modification

Dinan carries a big brake kit for the M Devin, as well as Baer and Brembo too. The Dinan kit is a Brembo kit, just produced for their brand

Look into getting an autosolutions short shift kit. It's custom made and takes like 1-2 months to get but it vastly improves shift feel.
