I enjoyed Murakami's book about running about as much as I can a book about running, not being a runner myself and having no desire to become one. 😂 I've had Territory of Light on my TBR forever, this is prompting me to maybe finally get to it.
My cousin's dedication to marathons makes - a little 😉 - more sense now, when consider Murakami's long-distance running experience. But yes, I'm not about to start. The one year I tried, I got shin splints and then sprained my ankle🤕🤭 I hope Territory Of Light works for you, when you get to it. I still think about the little girl character from time to time.
did I lose my train of thought because of mylo's cute doggy sneeze, yes, I meant to clarify the cosy part of talking about life's hardships and our personal traumas - for me -comes through when the fiction moves into self-healing fiction.
I like the way you described Territory of Light-it delivers so much despite the slim page count. 🇯🇵
Thanks, Lindy 😊 that it does ✨️

A little insight: the title of Murakami's book is a play on Raymond Carver's What We Talk about when We Talk about Love.
Thanks for sharing 😊 I saw that mentioned, but I've not read Carver's book. Your comment reminded me to add it to my TBR.
Well, you’ve intrigued me about a step or steps too far, but my steps will be going in the opposite direction. 🤔
😂
Have you read The Housekeeper and The Professor by Yoko Ogawa? I throughly enjoyed it and it ran the gamut of emotions for me.
I have, so good! And then to show now versatile Ogawa is she traumatised me with Hotel Iris 😂. One book is so heartwarming and one book is so not 😅
