It almost feels a little disrespectful just because Lee is shorter don’t mean he wasn’t a top pro. If he is just being honest that’s cool I guess just wish he would give Lee more praise for how good he was

if I was a judge Id pick lee over ronnie all day, sure ronnie had something special and was HUGE, but lee is more impressive to me... maybe its just me.
Lee was a monster on stage back then, I'm still miffed he never got an Olympia win. Despite that, he's still my favorite bodybuilder to this day. I'd still love to see Lee vs Jay at the Masters!

I noticed how Jay seems to refer to "the fans" a lot. Other BBs have said they weren’t comfortable with that term. They didn’t like thinking of people in that way or putting themselves on a pedestal too much.....the "fans" were just other people or "friends" to them. I mean, it’s just body building, after all.
But they are fans. Anyone who still views ronnie, jay, Lee as adults are fans in one way or the other. We keeping their legacies alive by watching
i’ve heard Phil Heath say “fans” but its not common in the BBing community.

There's an interview with Jay talking about a year Ronnie had bubble gut, he still beat Jay and Jay thought "wth do I got to do to beat this guy!?" *As it turns out, he had to start training with him! lol*
In all fairness, I think Jay beat him that year, but Ronnie was the judges' favorite.

Was never a ronnie fan, think Jay always looked in better condition and had the size, Ronnie always looked bloated later on . I met Lee and to see someone of his height packing that much muscle is crazy.

Secondly, he’s not ‘almost broke’ from operations. He’s a multi millionaire with his own product line for supplements, and most of his surgeries actually have been covered under insurance. I'm sorry, but if Lee was the same height as ronnie he'd have smoked him in every show including the Olympia. Lee along with Shawn Ray and David Henry are the only ones who have dominated in the open class against the so called bigger and gut bloated guys, using height to mark down these guys was complete BS.

@@kinetikfreak5508 I met both of them numerous times, Lee was a freak that’s a fact he had some obvious flaws, but Ronnie at his prime was untouchable he was almost perfect in 98/99 I was there, a In 03 when I saw him again my brain couldn’t comprehend what I was looking at totally insane. There is no way Lee “looked better than Ronnie(8x Mr .O)in most shows” that is a total ridiculous statement.

Lee Priest is possibly the best bodybuilder of all time. Doesn't matter that he never won an Olympia. Pound for pound the best that ever did it.
