    Câlisse actually literally translates to Chalice. The part of the church it refers to is the cup used during communion for the blood of Christ aka the wine. I'm from Sault Ste. Marie, live in Ottawa, was raised in the Chatholic church, and I had a lot of francophone friends growing up and they loved teaching us English kids their swear words.

    Chase's pronounciation at 7:34 of "Calisse" sounds so swedish, hearing your native language when you're not expecting it is really the strangest thing. Reminds me of the scene in the fault in our stars lmao

    When I saw the word rivieres. I was like that is river and then i was thinking of when I was in french class and I was like I know the name! Plus there is this thing called three rivers in canada! My dad tried to say it. It was a fail!

    The best place that sold poutine in my town burned 3 years ago and it was so. So. So good, you LITERALLY couldnt find a better one in the area. People came from other villages around to eat the stuff. Life in this town was NEVER the same. THE PAIN IS REAL PEOPLE. It is.

    I think it was hilarious how you threw in the swear words along with the food words. I have not had real poutine in Quebec because I couldn't find one with vegetarian gravy. Fritz on Davie in Vancouver has a good mushroom gravy one, though. You should review it.

    Calisse = Calice (correct orthograph) is actually the equivalent of Calice
    Tabarnak = Tabernacle (correct orthograph) is also tabernacle in english and is a church word.
    Banquise is the name of the restaurant, but more importantly it means floe.
