Bamboo Shrimp Filter Feeding

Video of bamboo shrimp (also known as wood shrimp, fan shrimp, Singapore shrimp) filter feeding under high flow.
We purposely angle the filter output to the driftwood tree, and the bamboo shrimp indeed perches on the tree to filter feed. As part of bamboo shrimp care, high flow in the aquarium is often recommended, due to the filter feeding habits of the shrimp.
This bamboo shrimp (should be female) is quite large, measuring around 3 inches or more. The bamboo shrimp is a peaceful freshwater filter feeder, and it does not bother other fish, shrimp, or snails.
Due to its large size, it can also survive with relatively aggressive fish such as the German Blue Ram (picture at end of video).
