- In our first video we took you through the process of a dumpster from start to finish. Today we show you a more in depth look at the vinyl process from designs, printing, weeding, and applying.
At the time this is posted we are in Vegas for Waste Expo and Dumpsters in the Desert. If you're in Vegas for these events and want to connect or meet up, please reach out! Excited to meet everyone this week.

Appreciate it Man! Good seeing you this week at Waste Expo and Dumpsters in the Desert!
Hey you might try "through the roof" works well for us anyways
Love it! I have a pump sprayer is about 1/2 gallon and I use baby soap about two pumps into the water and it allows me to peel the vinyl or fix if there's any bubbles and problems.
Yes! This is how we do our dirt bike graphics. We've yet to try it with our dumpsters and the research we've done says that certain vinyls work better with the wet application than others. Im sure we'll experiment and do a video about each of the different methods further down the road! Thanks for watching!
Great video buddy
Thanks Victor! Appreciate the support!
Awesome ideas man, love your fresh approach to the dumpster industry. Keep these videos coming!
Will Do! Thanks for the support! We've been having fun making them.
The bulls are parallel, colinear. My used 12 year old dump trailer is only stitch welded at the wall and top rail. The original owner caulked the seam and it definitely minimized the rust and kept the steel from rotting.
HAHA! Thanks for the correction, there's a reason we're running dumpsters lol. We are firm believers in caulking the seams on our dumpsters. Its not a perfect solution but it definitely helps.
@@BlueCollarHaulersI’m glad you mentioned that. I was talking with Rayder and Luther about it. My concern is about water not being able to evacuate and creating a rust issue?
We have cans from a few different manufacturers. It is common for them to only do stich welds on the sheet metal at the top. Every one of those have rust streaks.
One of the manufacturers actually fully welded the sheet metal seams, these cans don't get the rust streaks.
We also have an assortment of different cans, none of them have the top seam fully welded though. We'll have to see if we can try that on our next one! Who manufactures your dumpster with the fully welded seam?
@@BlueCollarHaulers those dumpsters where made by another dumpster hauling company for themselves. They didn't like the quality of cans they where buying, so the started fabricating their own the way they wanted them.
Mulco polymeric caulk nice job 👍
We'll have to give it a try on our next can! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@BlueCollarHaulers they have alot of colors but not so much in bright colors like orange. I paint mine so ill use seam sealer but my trailer is grey so i matched up cement grey. Good luck 🤞
@@BentIronBins That's good to know Im gonna look into that. Thank you for supporting the channel and leaving feedback!
Love the video brotha! Since you are caulking after do you just try and find a caulk that is the same color as the can?
Because of the powder coat oven cracking the caulk, color matching is the best solution we've found for these dumpsters so far. The real solution would be to find a caulk that can withstand the heat of the powder coat oven in order to caulk before application like we do with paint. We're currently looking into this solution heavily. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
What caulk did you use? Big stretch by Sascho is a great product but OSI quad max might work better.
I'll have to look tomorrow to see what I use. We haven't found anything that has held up to our colder weather without cracking yet! Is it me or the caulk, I don't know haha. I'll look into both those options. Thanks for the support!
@@BlueCollarHaulers we use both of those for exterior purposes on our homes. I think they could be a good option. Big stretch is easier to work and they have a tintable option to match the paint color!
