    • @iMatti00
      @iMatti00 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stanhunt8543- Respectfully, you must not be true for me with judges. Before four years ago judges or almost always former prosecutors and they would constantly side with the prosecutors office. Regardless of whether somebody wants to call that good or bad, or whatever. And they all call themselves impartial, but their level of “impartiality“ just happens to be aligned with the prosecutor 80% of the time. Go figure. And just like the original post here says, nobody bad tonight when it’s that way.
      And the guy above mentioned filing an appeal. And while that’s true, most people don’t understand that appellate court did just not make sure everything was done right. They give great difference to the trial court. Appellate courts will constantly say they disagree with the judge but they’re not gonna change the guilty verdict because it’s either within the judges discretion or it was outside of the judges discretion because it was that bad but they don’t think the bad decision change the outcome of the trial. And when it comes to sentencing a defendant, that is virtually never ever changed by the appellate court. For judges could give someone 15 years for manslaughter based on the facts of what happened, and one judge gives them life in prison, and the appellate court won’t do anything. They call that discretionary.

    Have to be more specific on a judge 'not siding' with the DA or cops.
    Unless there's a mandatory penalty on a charge then it's always left up to the discretion of the judge. And wouldn't most of this guys trials be a jury one?
    So are they saying this guy is manipulating the jury?

    • @2badwolves
      @2badwolves 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The accusation does not include manipulating the jury. The DA is claiming that he is not following mandatory penalties and judicial procedures according to tx state law. He is supposed to be impartial. I hope the claims are untrue... but if they are he has to go.

    His not the only judge like that in Harris county most of the judge here are like that that is why crime here is worse than Chicago

    • @2badwolves
      @2badwolves 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not sure about that. I've traveled to Chicago several times for work and a co-worker was robbed. I was always told to be careful by my clients in Chicago and told about crime. I have never been a victim of crime in Houston and feel safe. Maybe it's where I live and where I go.... sure there is crime in Houston, but 70 people were shot in Chicago last weekend.
