    thank you for continuing to post. Fragrance means a lot to me and probably most of your viewers. It is important to focus on the things that bring us joy, especially when things are messy.

    On a perfume note, I love the process of applying oils and spray. I do both everyday. I have never tried water based frags, and I look forward to trying some

      That's awesome. There is a lovely ritual in doing so, isn't there? I think they're worth a try - can't go wrong with taking a little break from alcohol. 🌹Xo Sam

    Thank you for this. I thought it might be too light and wouldn't last. Glad to know I was wrong as I want to go more natural

    I've not tried many scents with a water base , so it's great to learn of more in that genre.
    Appreciate your Insight into them ☺

    Lovely video, thank you! Just checked them out, but Maison Sybarite contains cinnamyl alcohol which can have a sensitising effect on some people - even subject to a restrictive standard by the IRFA. Greenwashing? IDK I'm confused. Anyone have any thoughts or more info?

    If I'm not mistaken Maison Sybarite is a french brand made in france, i think that's why its says paris.

    I commented recently about you incorporating some personality and you seem to already have become way more comfortable. 10 minutes went by and I didn't even realize it! New subbie

    I live for your exquisite and perfect pronunciation. My approach to speak even my own Queen's English proves a challenge sometimes 🤣🤣. Thank you for always bringing us something new and expertly delivered.
    I'd love to check out Maison Sybarite, and what a gorgeous mist! No doubt Bed of Roses will be up my street 👌

    I don’t have any water based fragrances, mostly alcohol and some attars. This was an interesting video. Please consider doing a video on the Bodicea the Victorious fragrances you have in your collection.

    Picked up a few water based frags in Paris from Officine Universelle Buly. I have Sumi Hanoki, Triple Fluer D’oranger and La Venus de Milo by Jean-Christophe Herault.

    I like this discussion. It is constantly on my mind of how long my perfume will keep. I have been thinking of investing in a wine chiller. I know like oud oils last for 100s of years. Thank you for such an interesting review. I think I would prefer Oil and Alcohol strictly because they last longer. Perfumes are an investment to me. Thanks again Sam

    • @MyWorldofFragrance
      @MyWorldofFragrance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Isaac! Yes I can understand that - perfumes are most certainly an investment. That wine chiller sounds nice, you'll have to share how it turns out 😊🌹Xo Sam

      You know something Sam water based perfumes would be perfect as a signature scent as you will constantly use it. The perfume your friends complemented you on is it unisex? I'd love to smell it

    • @MyWorldofFragrance
      @MyWorldofFragrance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ikeforever15 Yes that's a good way of putting it... for the signature scent type it would be a great option. Yes! Spicy Calabria is actually marketed "for men", but to me totally unisex - and sexy at that!.🌹Xo Sam

    I tried Yuzu de Kiso a water-based fragrance by the house of Buly 1803. It's a fresh and kind of herbal. I didn't find it very long-lasting, but not less than other citrus-based fragrances. As you said water-based fragrances have a shorter shelf life. After a year the scent was off: not the fragrant compounds, but rather the water had something a little stinky.

    I live in the city where fragrances are not popular and not a likeable topic, bcuz they are too pricey. Therefore to find a store having water-based fragrances to test out is difficult a.f. :( but thanks so much for open my eyes. Noting down for 1 day travelling to Dubai then... 😊😊 thank u... And please stay safe! 👍🏻👍🏻

    Yay! I was waiting for this video 💕 thanks for it! You can’t store the water based in a perfume refrigerator, to keep shelf life longer ?🤔

    • @MyWorldofFragrance
      @MyWorldofFragrance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're very welcome! I think that would definitely prolong the life a little - I know with lots of natural cosmetics that trick works, so I imagine it would be the same with perfume. 🌹Xo Sam

      Thanks! It's cute, isn't it? And nice to take a little break from alcohol. Yes I saw Hermes doing them some years ago - otherwise if you search for "alcohol-free" at perfume retailers, some should come up. 🌹Xo Sam
