Funny thing about how you keep saying "It's perfect" at the end. The writers agree with you. The first and last words spoken (outside of the intro) are "It's" and "Perfect". Opening line: Sokka: "It's not getting away from me this time." Last line: Toph: "Well I think it's perfect!". Literally bookended with the line "It's Perfect".
i think aangs refusal to kill the fire firelord is much less about believing the fire lord personally deserves a second chance, and more about the fact that sozin killed the air nomads in part BECAUSE he believed their pacifism made them weak. ozai says himself that aang and his people, because of their refusal to engage with the might-makes-rgiht rules of imperialism, did not deserve to share this world with ozai and the fire nation, its "natural" rulers. . it is about aangs commitment to non-violence, but its also about his PEOPLES commitment to non-violence, and how aang has to carry on that memory for hem if he wants to not only defeat ozai, but prove that his worldview is wrong.
Zuko vs Azula Agni Kai is just amazing, it just epitomises raw natural talent and anger or azula vs the calm and mastery from zuko. Beautifully animated as well
22:00 azula does care about zuko, she's just an incredibly fked up child due to her father. Whenever she's showing genuine care she calls him silly names like "dumb dumb." Only happens a couple times, but it's there.
I dont understand how some long-time fans can hate the Ember island players episode hahaha its so good and a creative way to close off the series before the epic finale! and it never gets old, Im glad you guys got a kick out of it 😂😂 *ALSO: Azula's moment of psychosis at her mirror reminds me so much of the Green Goblin. And if u wanna find out about Zuko's mom, you gotta read the books*
Along with why ty lee joined the koishi warriors in the books she teaches them chi blocking and how to use it in fights light she did basically transforming them into basically the group they will see in the legends of kora, not the koishi warriors but still could've been inspired by them
I personally disagree with you guys on the idea that Azula is purely a monster or that her emotional breakdown was the result of karma. The series showed that Azula was favored by Ozai because of how skilled she was ever since she was a child. His influence was over her pretty much since she was born. Zuko had his mother on his side who showed him love and compassion. Azula's mother ends up banished and Zuko ends up scarred. So what does this show Azula? That trust and love is weak. That her father's methods of using fear is the only way forward. But then Ozai pushes her to the side after everything she's done. He gives her a position and then immediately gives himself a better one. Her friends abandon her. Azula is being shown that everything her father taught her is wrong. To the point where she has to imagine her mother telling her that she loves her. She's 14 years old. And she has the pressure of the world on her shoulders. But unlike Zuko, she doesn't have a positive support system. Children are very much impressionable by their environment. And Azula's environment was a man who used cruelty and fear to keep his family in check in a nation that enforces their will on others. Her breakdown was the result of her worldview being shattered and also wanting her mother's love
People love to villainize azula forgetting that she's younger than Zuko and was pretty much groomed to be evil by her father. Every adult in her life let her down
I love azula because of how she is written. I do also love how intimidating she is. I like how you wrote this out. I could never explain it as perfectly as you did.
Aziula is a monster. She is horrible. Her dad is horrible but she Zuko is just as much his son as Azula is his daughter. She gravitates toward that behavior and he gravitated to her over Zuko because of her penchant.
We saw Aang shaving his head in an episode last season. Also, the Painted Lady is a river spirit so her power was limited/taken because of the pollution. Like the River Spirit in the Spirited Away movie. When the river was cleaned and the pollution was gone The Painted Lady was able to return.
One of the best comments I’ve read is the correlation between The Headband and The Firebending Masters. In TFM we learn the “dragon dance” is one of the original firebending forms learned from the dragons themselves, meaning it used to be an integral part of their culture, but in The Headband dancing isn’t even a concept people are familiar with. It’s a reflection of how self-expression and individualism were lost over time. We can likely blame Sozin for changing the culture since removing people’s self-identity helps perpetuate fascism.
Azulas a 14 year old girl with a mental instability that was made worse by her father. Ozai won't tolerate softness or kindness in any way and that's what he taught is daughter dude was her only parent after her mom was exiled
This show is perfect in ways I can't express. It has been over 13 years since I first watched it but I still love it the same! Ya'll will cry at the next show intro!
The music always gets me man; also the animation for azula's tantrum when she's beaten is phenomenal the fluency and emotion is so raw, its the first time she hasn't gotten her way and not been able to be free to plot revenge, also the sociopathy aspect of the first time she cries(or that we see) is for herself, she was beaten by someone she deemed lesser and ultimately by herself in her hubris toppled her own empire in a couple days. The series and the narrative is so great because even though the demographic is primarily young adults it doesn't patronize them and doesn't hold back on the subject matter; fascism, violence, murder, loss, psychology, emotional intelligence, to name but a few of the lessons it tackles, the series will stand the test of time for as long as there are people to view it
there are comics that continue the story after the show and zuko does find his mom but she has moved on and has another family but she still has trauma from ozai.
Just for future reference as you guys watch Legend of Korra, the entire show was only ever greenlit for a single season at a time so it's plots tend to only be a single season rather than how Last Airbender's is with their being one major plot over three seasons. Also be prepared for the "Is this allowed on Nickelodeon?" scenes that come with the show
Lack of planning and singularity is the least of it's problems. I enjoyed it, but you can't excuse all the shitty parts on them not knowing how long they had.
It’s funny that you say Yang Chen is going to say kill him now, because she was one of the deadliest, and scariest avatars. She had no issue killing people
I just finished the video and this is a fantastic ending 👌 emotions are very high during this season and the rewards are even higher, Iro and Zuko‘s reunion always gets some tears out of me 😢🖤 I love how this show ends, its amazing from start to finish 🙌 im so happy for everyone that’s discovering the series for the first time 😁 I wish I could go back to the First time I watched it 👋 see you guys around 🔥🔥🔥
3:29:18 Just noticed the clouds and appa’s shape in the sky. Probably foreshadowing. What if katara bended all the clouds in the town to get an advantage with the rain. Probably already discovered but just let me have it. 💀🤣
Also Bridget you don't want this like game of thrones. Good things don't really happen to the heroes in the show. Or were you not paying close attention

The fire nation stage play is the best comfiguration for a recap episode ive ever seen

Just found your channel and binged all 3 seasons with you guys. Great Reactions!
There is a series of comics that deals with the story of Zuko looking for his mother afterwards.
Technically, zuko never stole katara necklace. He actually found it.
Zukos mom has a storyline and we find out what happened to her in the comics, def should read it. alot of surprises

There’s a series of comics that take place after the show and Zuko does find his mom. She got remarried and now he has a little sister
That’s so cute ❤
no matter how many times I hear it, "that's rough, buddy" just tickles me pink
2:03:32 when your coworker tells you " hey you nice don't come in tomorrow"

Just in time, i just finished book 2. Love these long vids, you guys have kept me company this week : )
I LOVE the reaction to the buff prison Iroh reveal
3:03:30 Sometimes I'm glad it's NOT like Game of Thrones
THE LION TUTRLE ARE LIKE THE GODS OF THE AVATAR WORLD. SO BASICALLY ANG GOT THE POWER TO TAKE OFF SOMEONE BENDING FROM THE GOD HIMSELF.

I am so glad I found your channel❤ these marathons have helped me through my exams

8:22 Great Zuko impression
Wow you guys are quick with posting the next parts
Because they just put all their individual reactions together on one video timeline
I wish they made a separate show but there’s a video of the story of what happened to Zukos mom. It involves the face stealers cousin/relative
They already watched the last airbender movie too and posted it on patreon. Spoiler alert they hated it lmaoo
2:36:29 When you don't know you're a side character

But seriously😅DONT TELL ANYONE😡
So anyone else just figure out Ron Perlman voiced Sozin
Also Bridget you don't want this like game of thrones. Good things don't really happen to the heroes in the show. Or were you not paying close attention
Korra ?
Please do High Tension (French horror), SALO, Green Inferno 😊
katara and zuko should have ended up together
Or Suki and Zuko like they were about to do in the comics. She's too good for Sokka.
ew no
did you just like not watch the show? they literally make fun of ppl like you lmao
@TT-ig7tg The show also makes Zuko and Mai look like the perfect loving couple but she dumped him soon after anyway.
@ idgaf get out of here
