I live in Arizona. If I was able to live closer I would see every concert. Tuva and the Orchester have blown me away.... I think she is wonderfull!!!!!
Beeing a citizen in Copenhagen its almost mandatory to visit the concert Hall, either it be Herbie Hancock, the Danish bigband (they are good) or the Symphony Orchetra performing Viking music, Morricone or what ever - its always a pleasure.
This was my favourite of the evening, the songs are perfectly mixed. Tuva, the orchestra and the choir did a great job in their performance. I had tears in my eyes listening. 😊
We want more! We want more! Cute anecdote: As in the scene, where none of the characters wanted to sing, the actors didn't either, until Daniel Portman (Podrick) said: i'll do it!
So much talent, such beautiful music. Been watching for years. Although I wasn't able to make it to a concert the last time I was in Copenhagen, it is one of my goals to return and attend.
Sorry, pero no. The absolute best is the version of Vinnie Marchi. This one here is too slow, too effectist. And all this paraphernalia of a symphonic orchestra is too much.
The live orchestral piece composed by Ramin Djawadi and performed by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, The National Concert Choir, and The Danish National Junior Choir is truly awe-inspiring. Within its beautiful harmonies, soloist Tuva Semmingsen takes us on a journey through captivating vocals and profound emotions. The combination of instruments and vocals creates an extraordinary experience that stirs the heart and soul.
There is a constant refrain in this song with the words "never wanted to leave". Those words perfectly captured how I felt about this song. I "never wanted to leave" this video. The singing and instrumentation was just that mesmerizing.
Ich habe lange nach einem solchen Kanal gesucht, der sich für Musik im Allgemeinen und die Soundtracks von Filmen und Serien interessiert!! Die besten Soundtracks sind meiner Meinung nach... The Last Mohinkaz, Titanic, Game of Thrones. vielen Dank
Justo voy a ver hoy ese capitulo de la serie. Espectacular serie y vídeo, envidia a los presentes que pudieron disfrutar de ese concierto, maravilloso❤❤❤❤
High in the halls of the kings who are gone Jenny would dance with her ghosts The ones she had lost and the ones she had found And the ones who had loved her the most The ones who'd been gone for so very long She couldn't remember their names They spun her around on the damp old stones Spun away all her sorrow and pain And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave They danced through the day And into the night through the snow that swept through the hall From winter to summer then winter again 'Til the walls did crumble and fall And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave High in the halls of the kings who are gone Jenny would dance with her ghosts The ones she had lost and the ones she had found And the ones Who had loved her the most
This was really nice.. quite the voice, perfect for this song. If interested, there is a low brass version that is fantastic.. do a YT search for Epic Low Brass “Jenny of Oldstones”
With HBO starting the new Dunk & Egg TV show, the world's hearts are going to collectively break in about 8 years time when they air what will presumably be the finale, The Tragedy Of Summerhall.
Valentine's Day is near friends, wish you organize a nice dancing party for lovers & never let bad guys win to screw us the joy of life, let's invite everybody put the music to the heart and get back the human nature lost lately 😢😢😢
Again just pov here... I agree with you in general but i dont think that it's "supouse" to sound like something. I feel like different ways of expressing a song/music is always nice.
I understand your point. I kinda felt the same regarding "Rains of Castamere" wich was supposed to be some kind of menacing victory hymn for the Lannisters. I really love what they did with the song in the show nonetheless. It better reflects the reader's feelings towards this song. Anyways, being the metalhead I am, I'd like to highly recommend "Jenny of Oldstones" performed by "The Dark Side of the Moon"
You’re absolutely right. "Jenny of Oldstones" is a sad and melancholic song. Its haunting melody and poignant lyrics evoke a sense of sorrow and loss. The song reflects the tragic history of Jenny of Oldstones and her doomed love affair with Duncan Targaryen. It conveys themes of longing, melancholy, and nostalgia, capturing the somber tone of Jenny's story. The song's melancholic nature adds emotional depth to the scene in which it is sung, enhancing the atmosphere of uncertainty and impending danger as the characters prepare for battle against the White Walkers. The meaning of the song is rooted in its lyrics and melody, and in my opinion it lost it‘s meaning when it is not sung in a sad, emotional and depressive way.

I also live in Arizona too, and I will go to every concert if I can.
Same, I wish they held concerts like this here in AZ! I'd be at every one!

I was there - absolute an amazing concert. Goosebumps all over.

Ramin Djawardi should write a symphony.
Hauntingly beautiful! And I love the build up to the main theme
Simply beautiful 😍 I'd love to see this in person.
I'm not crying.Definitely not crying.
THIS is the absolute best version of Jenny Of Oldstones (after Pod's of course) you'll ever hear!

@@IdaKiss He can sing, sure. But emotionally...His version does nothing for me, at all.
@@Jonsephar Well, have a good time.
Seeing one of their concerts must be magical. On bucket list
Even better as The Rain of Castamere. The whole story of Game of Thrones summ up in one song ... great. I feel every line. I never wanted to leave!
One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to!!!
Brilliant... simply brilliant...
Tuva's sound charming. ❤👏🙏
Music , the Heaven of sound !
Its OFF the HOOK for sure !

I am 45 and ex-military captain yet when ever I hear "Jenny of Oldstones" a tear is struggling in my eyes.
The skullsplitting terror of the lyrics paired with the gentle voice and both choir and orchestra in a calm mode.
Best

Lovely ❤

Well done! Loved it! It's funny, I see Tuva is going to sing and I am like everything else can wait until I've had a chance to enjoy it.
I felt like I'm inside the story. Great performance. Bravo!

The ones who'd been gone for so very long
She couldn't remember their names
They spun her around on the damp old stones
Spun away all her sorrow and pain
And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
They danced through the day
And into the night through the snow that swept through the hall
From winter to summer then winter again
'Til the walls did crumble and fall
And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
High in the halls of the kings who are gone

Emilie Clarke
Just my POV but this song was supposed to sound gentle, desperate, sad. This sounds operatic, high and mighty. Cruel almost.
Again just pov here... I agree with you in general but i dont think that it's "supouse" to sound like something. I feel like different ways of expressing a song/music is always nice.
Supposed to in terms of lyrics, sometimes it can be interpreted differently but these lyircs are just straightforwardly sad. @@Rayan-ok4yp
