Welcome back , i recomend the palm boxes with the transblucent doors for the washintonia robusta, mine got huge this year with all thw rain weve had , yours is spectacular Many Blessings 🙏🇺🇲🌴 Jose's Tropical Garden!🌴
Fun video and nice garden tour 😊 Good the Butia (pindo palm) recovered 👍But it needs good protection now (no frost) because it is weak. Succes 🤜 I love the pool also 😁 Greatings from Belgium 🇧🇪
Thank you for showing your beautiful tropical garden and for sharing which palms bounced back when you thought it was a goner. Wish I would’ve done the same cause you never know- it just might pull through! Lesson learned! Worth it 💯@ “feeling like your on vacation” at home!! 🌴
Definitely give palms a chance to come back. It doesn't always work but they can surprise you. I've had a pindo, a Trachy, and a needle palm come back after I thought they were long gone
found your channel a while ago. im just acrossed the river from you. so amazing how you keep tropicals out door all year like this. id love to see a winter tour and how it works with the boxes and frost cloth. beautiful garden btw!
I live in GA and have Sabal Palmettos, Serenoa, Rhapidophyllum, Sabal Minor, Butia and Trachycarpus in my yard. If you're gonna come down to GA just to get a sabal palm, I'd suggest checking out Chip Beggs Palm Nursery down by Valdosta for regenerated sabals. Great specimens and prices from 15 gallon size up to 12 feet.
I'm jealous of your planting zone! And thank you for the recommendation. My parents live up near Atlanta but that might be a worthwile trip down to Valdosta in the spring.
Beautiful garden. I live close to Atlanta, never been at Atlanta palms. Need to go there. I got only 3 Windmill palms wich are doing great. Would like to have a pindo palm. Again: you did a great job with your garden, sure looks like a vacation paradise.
Thank you so much. My parents live in Lilburn and when I visited last spring I went to Atlanta Palms. They had a lot of great things. Sabals, Mule Palms, etc.
I bring them inside. I usually keep them in pots and barely water in the garage (they get artificial light) but last year I put a few in the closet bareroot. They had a very slow start but made a come back.
I think about that all the time when it's freezing cold here. Same is true for California. Even northern California is warm along the coast in the winter
It's funny since everyone swears the needles are so hardy. But maybe it was just too much for the larger ones the first winter up here. But the couple I have are now doing great and have survived below 0 F
@@newyorktropicalgarden9364 one of my needles is growing ok but still looks pretty scrawny. I just know I’m going to be pulling its spear come February but I think the others will do just fine. My Trachys had almost no damage from last winter and there was a quick 2 degree night.

Thank you. I love your videos too. And don't worry I will protect this pindo. I am still so overjoyed that it came back. Hopefully better than ever.
@@newyorktropicalgarden9364 I do not doubt that. 😉 Good luck Tim 👍

Hi there. You are more than welcome anytime

Tim, you and I are living in the wrong climate lol but I totally get why you love your property. Amazing and thanks again for sharing!
Well we are both in the wrong climate! But we have palm trees so that keeps us happy

Love your healthy beautiful collection
Thank you so much!
Дякую очень круто ...❤
I'm curious, do you protect your red bananas during the winter, they look beautiful
I bring them inside. I usually keep them in pots and barely water in the garage (they get artificial light) but last year I put a few in the closet bareroot. They had a very slow start but made a come back.
It’s kinda crazy how much the Gulf Stream affects the winters in Europe. New York is roughly on the same Latitude as Majorca and Madrid.

I have more faith in a small sabal minor than needle palm
