For Story 16: She might have actually thought it was funny, told her husband because she found it amusing and it was actually the husband who took the situation too seriously and took offence.

I deep cleaned the ENTIRE house for my moms birthday while she was as lunch. It took THREE hours.
When she came home, she proceeded to tell me how I did everything wrong and how I shouldn’t have bothered.

I did have a similar-ish situation as story 4 although no severe injuries luckily. It was a bus, not a subway and the driver pulled up rather harshly while an elderly woman was making her way to a seat down the bus. Since i had to get off at the next busstop i was getting up right as she began to fal from thw bus's sudden movement and managed to catch her and the lady starts going off on me for trying to catch her so she wouldn't break anything.
I made sure at that moment she had her footing and let her go before tellling her, 'next time i'll just let you crash into the ground ungrateful hag' and a week later the same grandma was on the same bus again and again the bus pulled up a tad faster than she seemed able to handle, siffice to say i let her fall that time and shrugged as she glared at me.

3 years ago, my older sister moved out of our house, leaving her old bedroom empty. I took that opportunity to help out and clean it as best as I could. I did everything, vacuumed the carpet, cleaned the walls, and cleaned all of the outlets and the one light switch to look brand new. When I was done, it looked so clean. When I told my mom that I helped out in cleaning that bedroom, I expected a big thank you, or some sign of appreciation. But, going by the topic of this video, you can probably figure out, that wasn't the case. What actually happened was, she got a look on her face like, for lack of a better term, I handed her a bag of dog poop. She then said "Why?" I paused, then said "Are you fucking serious??! Because I wanted to be helpful and clean." She then says that I was banned from that room because it's not mine. Ok, that's true, but who had it before doesn't live there anymore, and so why shouldn't I be allowed to clean it? I stormed off, clearly showing annoyance over it. I contemplated just going back and making it dirty again just to teach her a lesson, but I never did. Kind of regret that now.

Oh Shit! This happened to the Spice Girls.
They and Represent, the online shop, distributed charity t-shirts to promote their mini-tour in 2019. It was for Comic Relief. They were enraged, however, when it was revealed that the shirts were being manufactured in near-slave-like conditions in Bangladesh. Interstoff Apparels, it turns out, blinded both the ladies and Represent, an online retailer. Interstoff Apparels attempted to deny it, but they were sacked after more than enough evidence was discovered. The women and Represent welcomed any reimbursement and made certain that the workers were compensated. If you're curious, a company based in Bosnia and Herzegovina volunteered to take over because their laws were stronger.
When it comes to the Spice girls... screw the money, they have rules.

When I was 13, my grandmother- GG- came to me and my father for help in taking care of my great grandparents ( my great grandmother has early stages of dementia is 91 and my great grand father is blind is 93.) This was all fine and dandy except for the fact that any thing to deal with my GG usually leads to destruction. She is what you would describe a psychopathic monster, who we had cut off from our lives about five years before because she tried to take me away from my father as she believes he shouldn't have children simply because her's won't deal with her ( she has two my dad and his brother, they both hate her.) Because of this we talked to my great grandparents about this to see their take in this and if this was something they wanted. Not only are they eager at the prospect, they're completely done with GG being there telling us complaints on how poorly she's treating them and that she's doing what can only be described as controlling abusive behavior, ripped out phone cords, ( they live in an old fashioned house) can't leave the house with out her permission, can't talk to any other family members unless she approves ect.ect. these things by themselves would be strange but not alarming with all of this put together it was very concerning. While my great grandparents are old they are still sensible. So after making the big decision to go help them ( they live in different states and going to help them would mean uprooting our entire lives) we arrive to a dumbfounding situation. We come to find out GG who is taking care of my great grandparents is not only on cocaine but also has cancer and is screwing/sleeping around with her cousin/nephew ( I would like to take the time out two mention this all takes place in Louisiana) in the SAME HOUSE. (Now I no you have questions, can't another family member take care of this. They could but the rest of my family is no better. My great aunt's and uncles GG's siblings are just as bad just not as crazy. 3 of my great aunt's are very successful lawyer's have their own businesses but are very greedy I mean VERY greedy, my great uncles ( only 2) are alcoholics and druggies, and my other great aunt is very troubled and has a disabled child (40) isn't coherent. ( 1 aunt died a year before this all happened so in total 3 great aunt's 2 are successful, GG and my great uncles. I don't come from a good family). My 2 aunt's didn't feel like giving up their businesses for them and for some reason didn't want a care taker (Even though they have one for my other aunt and her child who lives right next door by the way.) stook the responsibility to GG. The other 2 uncles also live near by as well as their children which consist of druggies, whores, killers ( as they often fight/kill each other yes it's that bad) and a whole bunch of other things I'm not even aware of, and sadly yes my great grandparents are aware of this. From the first week of us being there GG was arrested 2 times for drug related issues which related in ver stressful times for my great grandparents. The other 2 aunt's got wind of this as they had to bail her out, since GG was causing so much trouble they decided to come down here themselves ( they live in NV and TX) by the time it took them to get there (another week) GG was arrested once mor, someone almost died, the cops were called in the middle of the night, a brawl between cousins broke out, plans devised to steal my great grandparents property after they died to grow marijuana were exposed, and we found evidence that my very successful great aunt's were funneling money out of my great grandparents accounts for YEARS whenever their businesses were going bad. When the arrived we showed my great grandparents all this which led to a big dispute which led them into being pressured to kick us out with only a few of our belongings. Also that cousin/ nephew that GG was sleeping with is in and out of jail, was a rapist, killed people for GG, is a druggie, is a convict, and also is the person who got her addicted.
Tldr: Tried to help great grandparents from frauds, murderers, druggies, and rapists ended up homeless.
Me and my father are in a better place now with no dealings to them, sadly my great grandparents are still with those people. Oh and that cousin/ nephew ended up killing one of my great uncles about half a year after we left. Irony in this situation my great grandparents don't like any of their children. Also a reminder this all happened within a 2 week timespan.

Okay so I work in a vocational program for disabilities(i have autism) and for context there's 4 people on every group and 1 trainer/supervisor. Okay so the site i went, we went to a college and we usually mop the floors and clean classrooms. I work very fast and always help out my group (I used to do landscaping with my dad since i was 12) and sometimes my trainer has to tell me to relax and slow down. I'm not rushing its a habit i developed.
Anyways that made the group very motivated to work as fast as me, what backfired was when we cleaned the bathroom and the 2 peoples were going to mop while the other was still cleaning the toilets. Which means that after she cleaned it we have to mop it again. That made me realize that i have to slowdown.

On a hot summer's day I once say a man sitting in the sun and begging for money. Because I rather give people food and something to drink, I got him a few bottles of water. He didn't want them. I kept them there (my bag was too full to put them there) and went away. When I was passing him like an hour later, the bottles were completely gone.
He was probably part of some kind of homeless mafia (people taking advantage of kind humans and just collecting money without really needing it), fuck that.

In 2015, I lent a friend I had met via an online game some money and let them stay with me for free to help them get back on their feet after their parents kicked them out. They proceeded to not find a job, play said game obsessively, and generally do fuck all about getting their life back together. When I finally said enough was enough after two months and asked them to leave, they did, but not before turning our entire online friend group against me by claiming I was abusing them while they were in fact living off me for free. Never got a real apology or saw the money again, and I can't enjoy that game anymore.

Once when I was 17 I took my little brother and sister to a local park with a playground. This playground had real train carriages as part of the play area..all safe and child friendly, but 1 of these carriages used to be used for transporting coal, and was really deep. Now I am quite tall and even back then looked much older than my actual age, and when we got there there was a little boy stuck inside that particular carriage. I got him out of the carriage just to be accosted by his mother who accused me of being a molester...I will never get involved in something like that again

This is not as disastruous but its still funny. My brother wanted to do something nice for my mom, so having heard her say that she needed to clean the windows but didn't have time to do it, he decided to do it himself. He grabbed the tools needed and did exactly as my mom taught him. He did his absolute best, which wasn't super clean, but at the very least he did manage to clean about 80% of the windows and made them look super nice.
Cut to later in the afternoon, when my mom came back home, she saw that the windows were cleaned,a nd isntead of looking at the 80% of work she no longer needed to do, she noticed the other 20% was still dirty, so she reprimanded my brother for doing an absolutely terrible job and being a lousy cleaner. She then grounded him for a weekend. That day, my siblings and I learned that we should never clean anything unless my mother tells us to. She spent the rest of the years we lived with her wondering why we never did any cleaning she didn't ask us to do. No good deed goes unpunished.

Best friend's story: we are both diabetic and have celiac (no gluten for us) so even tho we know where to find treats for ourselves in the store, our friends and relatives not always do. One time, when friend's aunt was visiting, she wanted to surprise them so she bought the only thing she knew my friend could eat: Snickers. She was so happy when she turned up at their door with a present for them, but then as they were reading the label, they realized that this specific limited edition unfortunately had wheat in it

For those wondering, I think the better idea is to cut and widen the hole at the top of a traffic cone so it can fit the head of the bird you're looking to slaughter, shove the bird up the cone head first so its head is poking out what was the top of the rubber structure, hang this contraption upside down with the bird still in it, and kill the bird with a solid throat slit. I don't have any experience, but this was done when a group of three Buzzfeed personalities visited a sustenance chicken farm where they each killed, cooked, and ate one of the excess birds from the farmer's stock with the property owner guiding them through each step. The reason for this is so A; the dying bird is restrained as it bleeds out, and B; the blood squirts down into either the dirt or a collection bucket for later disposal. I think that the wife's ultimate mistake was aiming too high on that first bird's neck when she made the attempt on killing it, as she might have left enough brain tissue in the neck to allow for it to still walk around, so aiming closer to the rest of the bird's body might have been enough for the bird to die right away.
Also, if the guy with the mouse is reading this, you still did that mouse a favor, because that broken neck was probably a far more humane end than anything the cat(s) you were trying to save it from would have done to it. But next time, pour some cooking oil into a big bowl, like for mixing up a picnic salad. The oil will remove all ability for the mouse to get traction of the glass, plastic, or metal of the bowl, meaning you can just move the mouse into your hand and wash the oil in its fur off before releasing it. Alternatively, there are no kill mouse trap designs, including the oil bowl that I described, out there on Reddit, TH-cam, and other sites.

I raise and slaughter my own chickens; no need to mangle a traffic cone. There are pieces of equipment for very cheap that built specifically for dispatching chickens in this exact way-- they're literally called kill cones. With birds chicken-size or smaller, I usually suggest to chop the entire head off in one go. It's easier and a more assured death than just slitting the throat. I have a dedicated set of garden sheers I keep sharp just for that. I am absolutely not about to re-create what she woman did to that poor bird, I aim to be certain every time. I can't imagine how terrible she must feel about all that happening.

i'm the only person in my family that currently sews. my grandma is too old to, my mom hasn't been able to since she broke her hand a few years ago, and my dad and sister just don't know how. so because of this, all repair work for clothing or whatever gets pawned off to me. fine. the problem? mom has the habit of volunteering herself to fix anything her coworkers need, then imediantly pawning the work off to me. pretty sure she doesn't even tell them i did it, she just takes the credit. she's also emotionally abusive and gaslights me constantly.
well, one time, she made me fix something for a friend while she was making a cake and other baked goods for her other friend's birthday party. something she was using for the cake was essentially an edible spray paint, this pink spray she had a bunch of cans of.
while i was at school, one of the cans *EXPLODED,* completely nuking the kitchen table in a Pink mushroom cloud.... and destroyed several of my sewing supplies. my only spool of white thread was completely destroyed, and several others took damage as well. that's without even mentioning the book and papers i had on there.
i went ballistic, and she was completely and utterly remorseless, saying it was all my own fault for leaving it on the table.
    once again.
the only reason any of my sewing supplies were on the table was because SHE was making me repair something for HER coworker. my thread got destroyed because I WAS DOING *HER* JOB.
    but no. all my fault.
boils my blood every time i think of it. she wouldn't even apologize, much less get me a new spool of thread. luckily, my lovely grandmother hooked me up with some thread she was no longer using. But still, just a really crappy thing to do, in my opinion.

A friend of mine was about to be homeless. I expressed my desire to help, but inability to do so because he lived over a thousand miles from me. He actually got his two roommates to agree to drive him those thousand plus miles. So I'm like, okay. I'm a man of my word. I'll put him up for a bit, let him get back on his feet. Unfortunately, the trip exacerbated some health problems. So, a delay while he recovers. I'm cool with this. The actual problem, as i slowly discovered, is that he'd somehow managed to get into his mid 40s without ever actually running his own life. Independent life skills severely lacking. So i kinda ended up putting him out. Kinda because he left before my deadline due to said health problems flaring up again. My relationship with my landlord is damaged, and I've learned to ask a few more questions before I agree to stuff. And like hell I'll ever let anyone stay with me again. He's a good friend, and we're still on good terms. But if I'd known he was lacking in the life skills department, I'd have never agreed to it.

Growing up, my best friend’s mom was one of the nicest people I knew, but sometimes she could be nice to a fault. Case in point: another family who my friend’s family were close to were planning to move, but their new house wasn’t finished before their old house was sold and they had to move out. They had planned to stay in a hotel until the house was finished, but my friend’s mom insisted they come live with them in the meantime. Here’s the thing. My friend has a very big family with my friend, his sister, parents, uncle, a friend of the family with special needs, two dogs and three cats. Now, they had a couple with two teenage kids, a toddler, another dog and two more cats moving in… for MONTHS! I came over to visit once and found out that the dogs weren’t housebroken. I quickly learned not to walk around barefoot. As I was leaving, my friend’s dad was joking to me about the whole situation, but you could tell just from his eyes he was at his wit’s end. My friend told me years later, his dad almost moved out.

At my last job I was waiting outside work one night and saw a Woman who was upset about finding a way home. I offered to call her a Lyft to get her to the mall up the road that had a bus stop and quite frequently had taxi's there as well thinking she could get home from there. Well later on I open up my Lyft app to find she had used that to get home turning a $9 ride into an almost $40 ride. Lyft refunded the difference as they could tell the route had been altered but that was the last time I've done anything nice for anyone I don't personally know. I went to where the Lyft dropped her off the next day to get the money she "Owed" me but no one was there. Think back not the smartest idea to show up with a bat. @@Foyay_Red I mean the chime...you know that weird sparkly noise PLA makes when there is a shiny nearby...some shinies have minimal differences from their original forms (Like Diglett and Dugtrio and also Litleo) and if the chime was in the gen 9 games I probably would also have allot more shinies than the 4 I have there

Was celebrating new years with my Fiance's family in Germany. Small group of 4(me too) so we just relaxed in the apartment living room. Come midnight they bring out a small cake a large sparkler candle. Light it, happy new years, blow it out. But it smoked enough to set off the smoke alarm on the ceiling. They get a step ladder and I volunteer to grab it and shut it off. I didn't realize that in this complex the smoke alarm is attached by a big magnet so when I pull it slips out of my hands... and into the cake. First catastrophe of the New Year lol

One time, when my sister and nephew were staying with my parents, other sister, and me, my nephew came out of the bedroom he and his mom were sleeping in with a belt around his neck. When I saw it, I tried to take the belt around his neck but couldn't figure out how to take it off (I was very young at the time). His mom came out soon after and told my parents I put a belt around my nephew's neck and I ended up getting spanked for it.

something very similar happened to me in story 21. i was at work and i saw an older woman going to the doors and i held them open for her (i hold the door open for anyone i can inside and outside of my job). she rips into me saying she's independent and doesnt need help with that. i say okay, i go back into my job and made sure the door was closed, and she had trouble opening the door and getting inside. i told my boss this before she could enter the place just in case she went to my boss. of course, she went to my boss and told me how rude i was for what i did. my boss told her she can either be appreciative when someone does something nice to her or she can go to a different place to shop if she's going to harass his employees.

Trying to show a new hire how to move the (apx) 4.5 ft compressed gas cylinders. She had claimed to have experience with them, but the way she moved them screamed otherwise. It was not only inefficient, but also dangerous. Apparently, she was also a very proud person. So my questioning of her experience and correcting her rubbed her the wrong way. (Strike 1) She applied for and got a job making her my supervisor. I guess she had spent her time handling the gasses to schmooze our bosses boss. I didn't care and hadn't even applied for the job. Too much stress and too many meetings for my liking. So I'm just doing my job keeping things running. She decides to hand off part of her pet project to me. I try to politely decline as I'm working on something that is significantly more important and time sensitive. (Strike 2) [Note: Due to being overworked and understaffed, suppliers weren't getting paid and were threatening to cut us off. This is a major issue for any institution and reflects negatively on the institution and supervisor. I was fixing invoice issues and getting them paid to ensure the continued flow of products.] She drags me into our bosses office and tries to have me written up for not doing what she says. I laugh at her. Like not even trying to hide it - belly laugh - at her. In front of out boss. It might have come across as mocking her. (Strike 3) From this moment on, she hated me.
Bonus: As I had a good working relationship with other areas, all of my requests were handled promptly. Whereas her requests were all put on the bottom of their respective "to do" lists. She was aware of this discrepancy and tried (and failed) to throw her weight around for the umpteenth time. She had made herself universally disliked by everyone except the bosses boss. It didn't help when I offered to take her requests to other areas in order to have them completed in a timely fashion.
