I like the idea of having a shorter air path on uprights to deliver better suction down to the floor, but really. Couldn't Hoover have used a bit of a longer hose for the floor head? My concern would be the hose possibly splitting under stress. It looks very stressed just sitting in upright mode, and I would be afraid that with the constant up and down movement of the body during use, would cause the hose to split.
my aaaa rated hoover cylinder vacuum cleaner had all this inconvenience until I sent it back to argos. another enjoyable video by the way sir. thank you. happy Chinese new year to you. lol.
Thanks for another very interesting video describing a very unusual Hoover! I actually love that dark shade of green - in North America we call that "Hunter Green". I also actually prefer a separate long hose that can be stored in a bag on a hook in the closet. Amazing that the company allowed that upside-down logo on the dusting brush! Talk about a "faux pas"!!! 🙁
I had one. it 'bit the dust' and suffered from 'dust manager itis' and motor literally blew up 2 weeks out of warranty. Currys and Hoover took one sniff and weren't interested. Went to the tip and lesson learnt!
Now I have to say, that this is quite interesting vacuum cleaner. Ok it's not the best quality and a bit awkward to use (I assume). However the cyclonic system actually looks quite good for being a single cyclonic. Certainly worth to have in the collection and not too common.
Hello Roger i have the light cream/brown version of the Hoover dustmanager the same model of yours i find it does a reasonable job i love the length of the big hose because i never use the small hose i don`t see the point of it
The small hose is provided to reduce the length of the air path when using it as an upright. If I were to use this cleaner, I would leave the small hose on and probably never use the long hose as I prefer a cylinder or hand held for stairs and upholstery.
Gotta' rock that hose clip at the bottom, if you're gonna keep the long hose attached full-time. Should take care of that extra slack. SO strange they offer the short hose!
Such an awful shame what happened to this company. When I think of the quality of my old Concept 1 which I purchased because of my friend Al's long lived Dial a Nap, and when compared to all of the Convertible models I'd used when working in hotels and restaurants I mourn what happened to this company that invented the vacuum cleaner. What an awful shame.
I agree completely, "Hoover" is just label applied by Candy to cheap rubbish, still trading on it's former reputation. Much like what Electrolux do with the AEG name. Tragic that such a once mighty and innovative company has been reduced to this shameful exercise in value engineering.
I know, we had a Chinese made hoover canister vac and surprisingly it lasted for 3 years before the motor begun to stink of burning. I bet your concept 1 still works to this day if you still have it?
At least TTI has some sense of innovation, albeit they miss more than they score. Hoover isn't doing badly as a brand in the U.S. under TTI just trading on Vax products. Meanwhile Candy does absolutely nothing other than rebranding no name crap.
This thing is undeserving of matching socks; painful to watch this video Mr. Roger...I would have enjoyed it more if you had put it through a wood chipper; OH YEA!
you have just proved yet again that bagged is best.
I'm very pleased with my Enigma I bought last year. Couldn't be bothered with all that hassle to empty that one.
I plan to get the Enigma upright soon, but I'm waiting to see what Hoover will launch before September 2017 when the latest EU regulations come in.
Yes thanks I love Hoover
Vacuum cleaners and glad they make more jobs and money than ever

I believe Sebo do a canister model in Hunter Green, but not for the UK market.

With the short hose connected to the vacuum can you connect the long hose together and make one long hose?
No, it's the wrong fitting.
My aunts landlord has one of these in blue and black. Bag doors always fell off
“HOOVER! Nobody does it like youuu!”

No matter how bad a vacuum is, I wouldn't destroy it if it's cost me money. I am going to burn a Dyson at the stake though on November 5th.
