I love the style of Mr. Maiestro Salieri! He is far less excited, grown-up, more serious than Mozart's. I also love Mozart. But you can not compare the two. Everyone has their own style of brilliance. In Salieris works, there is a mixture of myth, primordial power, mysticism and timeless meditation. The timeless moment is present in Mozart's works. Two different focuses. And especially this interpretation in this video Salieri is very fair. Grandios interpreted by the masters at the conductor's staff and at the Insteruments.
Salieri was a Classical Era composer. But what he did with these variations was ahead of its time. Very operatic with a touch of romanticism. Lovely variations!
this is very good ....and for the age of composition,,,,,,,=modern music THIS A SLOWER VERSION TO THE OTHER PERFORMANCES I HAVE HEARD....STILL GOOD THOUGH.
Gracias!
Too many variations packed into a short space of time without any development. A disappointing work. The noisy audience coughing throughout is equally disappointing.
Your knowledge of music is thin! Variations have no development. Salieri composed the best possible series of variations. The audience is just ill-mannered, like so many other audiences. It's a pity. Better put the mics only on the scene.
There is one part where I thought the spacing was too thin... but, overall I think this is 98% masterpiece, if not "best work" qualities. The audience coughing is not the composer's nor the conductor's fault...
There are no development in a serie of variations. Listen the Mozart's Variations on "Ah vous dirais-je maman". "To many variations" is purely subjetive. The Golberg variations has 30 variation, more than this Salierie's variation on the Follia, and is still considered as a masterpiece. And if the problem is that the variations are too short, it's only because the theme is short (and this theme was only choosen by the composer, not composed), not because he is not developed, since he is not meant to be. A variation is only a repetition of the melodie in an altered form, not in a developed form. I think we can admire the invention and the skills of Salieri for making so many different variations on this theme. And also his orchestration skills and the pre-romantic an quite visionary character of this music.
@@elinathanferlay1013 Sorry, I have to disagree. Firstly, let's forget Salieri - he was a failed musician by all counts, and his output is largely ignored today. A variation is something that uses a particular motif and alters it. A development involves a motif from various parts and changes it. So isn't a development that keeps the same idea as a motif, a variation? There is a thesis of composition that I have studied called "Development Variation" which uses serial and mathematical models to produce music and I respectfully suggest you look at before you make further comment.
@@DavidA-ps1qr I agree that a variation can be seen as a development (and I write it in a first version of my comment that I did not post). So I do not understand why you said that there are not development in this piece since, if we consider variation as development, there are a constant development.
Vero interesting interpretation
i need more feelings!!!!!!!
caspita, che bella esecuzione
Sì l'ho ascoltata solo ora. Grandiosa interpretazione del Grande Salieri.
Good!
Could someone outline the various movements in this piece? Grazie!

mike bott Agree with this....When published this work was deemed a 1/4 of an hour....When published/advertised in the paper.
Buono
Instablaster...

Mozart to Salieri , did not now that music can sound like this. That’s quote from film Amadeus.
