Harder armor is usually for Harder impacts soft will run outta flex when you hit hard

The yellow pads are non-newtonian so they actually get harder on impact

Seems like a pretty basic motorcyclist shirt. I bought a similar one from a biker store. Very good and useful stuff, worth its weight in gold that time I took a hard fall. The crash replacement seems very much worth it, because the soft outer material on mine got ripped up real good. I do plan to get it fixed and have some sturdier material added on the hard wearing elbow and shoulder areas.
Lazyrolling also has a crash replacement policy you can purchase, and some different styles if you want variety. The prices are a bit higher, but they also have some reflective materials. I bought a lightweight hoodie from them. Took a tiny fall while wearing it and the outer material got a hole on it immediately. But I barely even felt the fall myself, and that's the point.
I warmly recommend also looking into getting some jeans with aramid/kevlar and pockets for the pads on the knees and hips. Lazyrolling has a couple of models to pick from, and bike stores have more. My experience says the fancier, softer material is worth it on the knee pads, because the basic harder foam pads start hurting the skin on longer rides. Also some pads exist that claim to offer the same protection with lower thickness, for a stealthier look if that's something you like.

Nice! I’m using an Enginehawk hoodie which is worth checking out (they do a shirt as well) the armour is really thin and flexible and you can’t tell you’re wearing it, however same as this jacket, the zip is on the other size and it’s pretty hefty so I can’t imagine using it in the summer… it’s also crazy expensive now in comparison as I got it during their initial launch where it was a lot cheaper.

You missed the belt straps and the microfiber cloth built in for cleaning glasses of goggles. Nice for bro.

I’m worried that the Kaly isn’t as enjoyable as your other rides
It’s a monster in sheep’s clothing ....it seems that you need two one that can go around corners and one that doesn’t ..... more you pay the more you have to do in order to get that perfect ride ....good luck with that we love hearing you scream up that hill .....too fast too fast ! You will be kitting yourself out with expensive protection suits can’t wait for the next Kaly video ....just brilliant early morning start ...and I thought I was mad to do that !

Aramid: Aromatic polyamide, is essentially Kevlar.

Thanks bud! This will protect way better than a jean jacket. I did a video about 2 weeks ago when I got the kaly and will have another video on it tomorrow. I have just been crazy busy at work and with life lol. Hobbies have to take a back seat sometimes. Thanks for the comment!

I dont think its too heavy, cant be more than a few pounds. About the weight of a winter jacket.
