People who say that the models can’t walk well: guys, these dresses are very long and heavy, they have heels on and can’t trip but are not allowed to look down the whole time to watch their feet and have to hold shoulders back. They have to look pretty and can’t hold their dress up easily all while being stared at by many and focussing one the camera, not walking too fast or too slow as there are models behind you and in front of you. Although some looked unhealthy thin, there are also people who are healthy thin or are naturally build like that.
That’s true. Most people seem to think that there is only one or two different body types!
If Naomi and Giselle can do it...they should too. I now it's easier said than done, but it really separates the models from Supermodels....
I hate to be the one to say this but, that's a models job. That is why not every one that's tall and thin can be a model.
Samendie Blanchet it’s a model’s job but it still does not become easier as time goes to wear such a long dress and not trip. I have seen plenty of experienced models trip over impractical dresses
and it also depends on the location, this catwalk looks very smooth and slippery. I saw a catwalk that was right next to water outside, the models seemed stiff and scared to fall in
They make it look easy but for those of us who have ever worn heels plus slippery floors...we know their work is hard!

To me the model are looking thinner these days. I recall a top model saying she used to eat cotton balls to make herself feel full, and she didn't want to eat anything that had calories. She talked about the modeling world and it was far from healthy .
Also some of the make-up is unsightly enough to distract.
Maaan... Im an offical fan of Ziad Nakad now, like everything from the concept, the different styles, the hair and the eye make up of the models, I loved everything. It had a kinda futurist vibe with all the squares in the designs and makeovers. Superb Collection. Would buy many from it if I was rich enough lol

Yes, I'll have one of each. Mail them all to Florida, USA. 'Stunning' is a perfect word to describe this collection. Ziad Nakad creates nothing less than perfection, as usual. Not diggin 'rectangle eye' makeup design...eyes don't need brackets.

Absolutely gorgeous! Ziad Nakad never fails to disappoint and I always find every single one of their collections to be classy, luxurious and just gorgeous. I just love all the pieces and I see the highest class of fashion. The detail and heart put into each dress is astounding and every outfit tells a story of its own, very impressed.
Gorgeous gowns, no doubt. But the lack of color on the runway is very disappointing.

Best Haute Couture I have seen in a long time. Half the "haute couture" i see now-a-days is just expensive ready to wear. This is WHERE it is at! You have this and then you have the likes of JPG and McQueen. Haute Couture amazingness!

I loved everything these pretty models wore! All the different colors and gorgeous beading and crystals, made the dresses or pantsuit, even more beautiful! I especially love the Mauve color dresses, the cream color dresses and of course, the Wedding gown was Amazing!! 💖

While not a fan of poofie sleeves or long capes, this is the most gorgeous collection I’ve seen in a very long time. The understanding and use of color is beyond gorgeous. Some of the old names and old houses haven’t come close to this in a very long time.

okay.. i am beyond words how to describe this collection, im in awe in each and everyone of the models and the garment they poses. ziad nakad captures the classic embodiment of flow and grace, as well as the timeless allure of glitz and sparkles that resembles true femininity. however, i would love to see some of the collections worn by a black woman. i am sad to say im disappointed only witnessing one black model sporting a black ensemble, i wish i could've seen more diversity thru the collection, but with all these points in mind, wonderful presentation ziad nakad!

I'm sorry, but just a question... Is everybody in the comment section that fat or do they come from families where most people are? 'cause to me, these girls just look like models! They are NOT supposed to look like regular people if they did they would not be models! Do all of you remember they are close to 6 0" tall? Well, most women are 5 0" to 5 4" and 134 LBS (I'm 5 7" 107 To give you an example!!!) I could NEVER look like that, even though I'm very slim I don't have 'the length' in the torso and neck that prompts all of you to call these girls anorexic... You need to stop. This is not a job where Kardashian big-ass 'body positivism' is gonna be received or should be received EVER, that's why Plus-sized models have always existed!
(And even those girls look natural and way closer to these girls)

I don't think anybody that tall is insecure hahaha and another thing, not everybody must comply with the American standards of beauty. There are skinny people out in the world much taller than your average American, so don't judge everybody by what you know or by what you see every day. My grandmother's friends all of them were so thin (All European) I assure you none of them was anorexic they were just...I don't know how to say this... Not American!!!!!!! The way people live in other parts of the world makes them different: The portions, diet, amount of processed food consumed per week; all these things end up making you 100 LBS instead of 140 (Do you know they put sugar in everything in the US?) That is why you have the mentality that anybody who is not close to obese is anorexic. So of course people from other places will look different and that doesn't mean they will project insecurities under some fashion show because people like you cannot understand that humans can actually be different. That some have a cookie for a snack and others have an apple!
just like a figure skater such as Yuzuru Hanyu, needs his thighs to be extremely powerful while his upper body is much lighter ('cause that will give him the strength to rotate 4.5 revolutions much higher than the others and help him win medals, therefore, ADAPTABILITY (in his case) works for him; and/or pure *acceptability* of each person's to their field of work has a lot to do with a very specific body type when such job depends solely or mostly on appearance or physical performance:
A basketball player needs a very specific body type to do his/her job and just like Simone Biles has developed a very characteristic body of a gymnast; catwalk models m.u.s.t. have this body type to show dresses without interfering with the details of the dress itself. Now, if you are unable to understand these concepts I think TH-cam is full of other videos with robust women that might not trigger your gagging reflex, for the rest of us able to understand that in Couture, in the words of Oscar de la Renta: "The model is nothing but a column, she shouldn't have too many curves, we are just supposed to be showing the dress" (He said it in Spanish in an interview, saw it when I was a child ;-) And if you think about it; it is true: Too much boob, would immediately get a crease in that area, avoiding (in certain dresses) the appreciation of the most intricate details!
And maybe you should stop projecting your insecurities about your being overweight and attacking women who are just doing their jobs. You know, they read these things sometimes and all this negativity from people like you can be taken not as a "bad review", but plain cyberbullying that damages the sensibilities of those just doing what they are supposed to, while the sofa critics tear them down for being able to do what they could never!. Remember that is nobody's fault that you look the way you look. In their case, they are doing their job. your comment was very defensive Too bad the previous commenter didn't know to express his idea better but calling others defensive and insecure when they defended the models, in reality, it was you attacking others and the negativity and bitterness in your comment that told me immediately about your issues with weight. And bye I don't like "back and forth"

@@shehna25 THE MODELS AREN'T A SIZE ZERO! I can always tell when people who have no idea what they are talking about start chattering. Models are a STANDARD SIZE 4! Their measurements typically look like this: 34-24-34. The range looks like this: 30-36/22-26/32-38. Even the lowest of the range is a size 2.
I completely agree with OP's original statement. Americans are far to used to overweight people and think average HEALTHY weight people are anorexic. It is really sad because America is the only country where their weight is out growing their height. They are getting shorter and fatter every year. People do often loose sight that these women are between 5'8"-5'11", and a size 4 stretched out that tall does look a lot thinner than a size 4 on a women who is 5'5" or shorter.
Some where around 70% of the american population is overweight.
These models are probably about an 18 bmi which is a perfectly healthy bmi.
5'7" and 107 pounds is slightly underweight. But depending on you medical history, most doctors would not worry about a 17 bmi if everything else is healthy. Everyone wants to throw around body positivity until it comes to a body that makes them uncomfortable. They'll hate on and call healthy weight individuals anorexic and skinny bitches all day.
Americans do piss me off so much because they are pretty much the only ones in the world who keep screaming about thin models and how anorexic it is when these women are just doing their jobs and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Runway models are their to model the clothes, not their bodies. And yes, they need to fit the standard size (which is a size 4 not a 0), but it is also true that they pick that standard size because it won't influence the clothing like a women with a lot of curves would.
Just like all fields that have to do with looks, eating disorders are bound to happen. This has been pointed out enough. The lay people can stop now. Screaming at women that they're anorexic never helped a soul. Besides these large and in charge dresses could make any women look tiny in comparison.

Gowns are gorgeous but I kept being distracted by the models. I kept wanting to get them a sandwich and a milkshake. That’s not slender and healthy, that’s anorexia in most of them.

We have to keep in mind these women are 5'9 and 6'0...very very tall. Tall people tend to look slimmer as well. I am sure they are very thin too. Maybe naturally, maybe not. I can't say.
