The interest in the Taylor Swift phenomenon is not much about her music per se, but it is about the economic impact that her concerts bring to the US economy, locally and nationally. Even non -Taylor Swift fans are opening their wallets to see what the excitement is all about. In Taylor's 3 days ERAS concert series in Chicago, more than 44,000 hotel rooms were filled during those 3 days, it generated $39 million USD in hotel revenues alone, that's not including restaurant revenues, souvenirs, local tourism and everything that goes with the service industry, merchandising, advertising, ticketing etc. Taylor Swift is a one person economic powerhouse. How long will her magic last?
