John McArthur has been the super-Fundamentalist of Fundamentalists. Enslaving theology.

Steve, what happens to the individual that does not believe in the finished work of Christ and dies?

He said you still have to believe. He said it multiple times. What happens to that person is a whole another discussion but I don't believe in eternal fiery judgment.

I know Steve said that a person has to believe. As you said, he says that quite often! My question is, what happens to those who don't believe?

I hope that person will believe. God "throws nobody into hell" and I don't believe in the infernal hell Dante wrote about and Augustine taught but neither do I think that breathing one's last breath instantly leads to accepting God's love. I wrote a chapter in my book, *Beyond an Angry God* called "Not Your Grandmother's Hell" that explains my view on this. @@johno2655 Without believing that God loves us, we will never be able to enjoy it. I don't mind using the word "hell" to describe that state. I don't believe in never-ending firey punishment from God but do believe that people don't instantly accept Him just because they die. Here's a short explanation - th-cam.com/video/zjLxbNpQvRg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1hBWUibyUk7T_Hwp
