Lovely scenes, good panning shots and well chosen locations. Some excellent still shots in there, too - the whistle is crisp and the "fluttery" one shows a firemans/drivers "hand" very nicely.
I started out thinking that the first couple of shots were a bit static and that pan and zoom would be more interesting. You then answered my view by doing just that. Great filming, thanks for posting this.
The diesel is required only if there is a mechanical problem with the steam loco. This has been a requirement for many years now. You'll probably find that the diesel is "free wheeling".
In suburban Melbourne, the banking loco is usually another steam loco. My concerns is the computerized systems won’t be able to allow a loco to run around and the points will have been removed anyway.
Just love NSWGR Garratt #6029 & this video - !! - Thanx 4 the memories of #6029 when operating out of Canberra & Queanbeyan with ARHS (ACT) when I was a teenager & photographing it's runs 2 Royalla, Michelago, Burbong Viaduct & Goulburn on my Fujica SLR & trying 2 get tbe colour balance right in my Cibachrome enlargements of #6029 - !!! - Great vid with variety of long & closeup shots - !!! - Thanx v v much - Don "Wingco" PATERSON, Sunshine Coast, Qld
Thank you Mr Frosty for taking the time to make this great video and letting the only sounds be the ones we Iike to hear. 👍🇦🇺

A Garratt pulling a passenger train , and the indignity of a back-up diesel !
I can't complain too much, it removes the need to run around at the end of the trip which gives us more shuttles.
Correct. It’s push pull. There’s no siding or loop at Wimbledon where the train runs to.

Nice footage. Shame about the diesel! Is this the only operational Standard Gauge Garratt in the world?
Many thanks! I'm far from an expert but I believe it may be.
Hi Frosty! Your videos look amazing what camera do you use?
Thanks! It's a Canon XF400.
Thanks
Good video :)
