Love bright peach, also poudree, kamarha I've been on the trian to the middle eastern world but had to stop it was becoming an obsession. Paris corner pistachio ❤
Middle eastern fragrances need to macerate to be rid of the first synthetic smells. Two weeks and up to several months, preferably in a closet. The juices darken and develop and lose the smell. You have interesting videos! My favorite Paco is Calandre!
Thouq is very incensey, to my nose. Nebras is very good. Khamrah and Khamrah Qahwa are also fantastic. My nose may be broke, but I so like many Arabic fragrances. I hope you find something you love.
Your descriptions are great! Very vivid. I feel like we are around the same age and I appreciate your perspective. A castle-dwelling, library loving woman of the world!
Thank you! I've been very hesitant to buy any more middle eastern fragrances after purchasing Junoon Noir and LAventure Femme and Hating the very unisex cucumber in one and the masculine musk that just Would Not Die in the other. I will try Bright Peach
I am really enjoying ur videos....as soon as I see them come up on my phone...I sit back, relax, and watch. I also watch Ruth Ann Mackinnon channel and really enjoy her content. I ordered the Estee Lauder Legacy perfume sample set based on u mentioning it on one of ur other vids and I am so excited! Thank you again. Blessings ❤
Ooh, I love Nasheet and I clicked to buy it about as soon as cee chronicle was talking about it. Only thing I have against it is that it doesn't last too long. I'm not sure if I love barakkat satin oud. It's ok, but no great love for me. I think I prefer barakkat gentle gold. But I will still use it. Khamrah is so good. But you need to nbe careful with cap and kinda twist it. I use khamrah a lot for layering also with other fragrances. Like with vanilla, cherry or tobacco scent. Oud 24 hours is also good, but not great love for me. Bright peach is so good. Though I think lovely Cherie from same collection is still better. I think that is my favourite perfume.
Thanks again for an interesting take on Middle Eastern fragrances. I have been collecting them for many years starting first with Al Rehab oils - Choco Musk and Golden Sand being big favorites. Like any style of fragrance I have many loves and some that I just can't wear. One that I love the smell of on paper but can't wear is Khamrah. I have skin chemistry issues with I think it's ambroxan or amberwood?? and it's used in a lot of fragrances now that makes them smell like pungent, sour pencil shavings on my skin. Well, unfortunately it's in Khamrah. But I found a couple of other very good Angel's Share dupes, similar to Khamrah, that I can wear - Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel, La Fede Intoxicate and Fragrance World Cocktail Intense. They are all great but my favorite is Kismet Angel because it performs the best for me. I just received Barakkat Satin Oud which smells very promising and I have it resting now, but looking forward to enjoying it in a few weeks. I also like Bright Peach, the Lattafa AA Poudree and Oud 24 hours as well. Raghba (not the Intense - which has the problematic accord) is a good one too. My current favorites this winter have been two from Paris Corner Rifakaat (YSL Babycat) and Amber Grand (MFK Grand Soir), Lattafa Nebras (BE Eilish), Lattafa Yara, Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Tonka, Rasasi Qasamat Ebhar, Al Haramain Dhahab, and Maison Alhambra Berlinetta (Byredo Biblioteque). I was really interested in your Genre Praline Musk. I didn't realize it was a dupe of anything and it's been on my wish list. I've heard a lot of good things about it's aroma, but yes, the texture IS weird. It's a "serum", like a semi-solid perfume. It reminds me of the really good Arabian musk tahara's - they are very white and thick like that - they are meant to be massaged into the skin. It also reminds me of Kuumba Made Amber Paste that is as thick and sticky as fresh tree resin. Actually besides the Arabian musk's a lot of resinous-rich fragrance essences have this texture, I have an opopanax from Outremer that is the same - I personally adore them but some just don't like that sort of texture in fragrance. Genre has a big cult following so you can easily unload that Praline Musk on ebay or Mercari :)
I really research the Arab fragrances before I buy. So far, I have not been disappointed. You do need to let them macerate a little before using them on some not all.
I always go back to Bitter Peach by Alexandria - not bitter at all, it's a delicious sweet peach. And of course my chocolate perfume called Modest Deux by Afnan.
I’m just starting to get into perfume and fragrances and have been trying some Arab perfumes because they are so affordable. Just stumbled across your channel. I appreciate your descriptions of the scents. Also, the first perfume being reminiscent of a port-a-potty lol. 🤢
I love Oud 24 hours!!! To me, it smells like the perfect combination of a man and woman becoming one 🫣😅 It is so sexy to me! Ruth Ann influenced me to get it, and I need a backup now! 😂
I get a bad stinch from every arabian fragrance I buy. Once I let them sit a few days the fragrance changes. It's annoying because whi wants to buy a fragrance and wait a month to wear it.
Something i learned was to take every yt frag reviewer as a liar and sample/test every frag even when convised, i once blind bought 5 frags basing on certain guy, they all smelt like bugspray 😢😢 i cant even gift them to anybody because no one loves them even dogs, thats why i learned no matter what sample first, all these hyped frags can make you nauseated 😢😢
Hi I just have to make a comment because so many people drool over in certain mood on TH-cam and I think it’s the most disgusting smell ever. I got a sample of it through their website directly and I had to run and wash it off it smells like a total old lady and a dirty one lol also I have a Kamrah and I think it smells like the awful sweet cinnamon pumpkin! To me smells like apple cinnamon brandy! Delicious
Most middle eastern and other cheap houses that do dupes of expensive perfumes are generally very synthetic and don't have the quality ingredients you get in the original frags and so the perfume experience isn't the same and mostly a let down blah scents. I had similar blind buy experience from Al Haramain, not influenced but cheap blind buy and it was an awful smell even as air freshener I could not use it, completely disgusting stuff. So buyer beware good video
Ruth Ann MacKinnon and you have the best channels! Down to earth, straight talking and affordable fumes. Love it!

Ooooo! I want to try those legacy scents! Please let me know what you think when you try them. Maybe I’ll place that order😍
Love the Middle eastern perfumes!!
"Like a trashy, party, not fancy smell..."😂
it's funny cuz its true...I love khamrah, but I feel like maybe I shouldn't...
I like it too. I will wear it to a parade or a concert, but not to the library.
I meant that Kamrah smells nothing like sweet cinnamon pumpkin! Thank goodness

I promise I’m not lying to you but I can’t guarantee that you will like what I like. Sampling is great!
Why should I hate the name. Don’t make something out of nothing! Powder is white!
Well, you don’t have to hate the name. I just envisioned someone asking what I’m wearing and replying “I am white.” Awkward

Are you saying old ladies have a bad smell to them?
Hahaha. Well I’m an old lady so no. Unless they are wearing Oud satin mood!
